Thank you very much for watching! I also love the clicker drag. I’m sure you will love this reel. It really casts great with 6# Sunline Assassin. Cheers and tight lines!
@@timeintheoutdoors would you recommend braided line !? I’m a huge braid to leader guy but I’m not sure if it would help or hinder the castability ? Keep up the awesome work !
@@jeohvanydelgado7125 I really like the strait floro on this reel. Braid to mono/ floro would work but it really shines with strait floro. If you want to try it with some good cheap 6# mono get Trout SOS. Works great and would give you a taste for that reel with that on it.
Sorry for the delay. Finally got back out tonight with that reel again. I have the break between 2 and 3. Very smooth reel. The JDM is supposed to be as smooth as Curado BFS. Great reel got a few on it tonight. Cheers and tight lines.
I just got mine today. I tested it out at a local pond and it super smooth and cast super far. I compared to to the kastking zephyr and there’s no comparison.
@@timeintheoutdoors your welcome. It really is a fun rod and reel combo. The time flew by really fast using it. Keep up posting the videos. The info you gave was truly helpful on deciding on my other bfs reel.
First thanks for watching, I really appreciate that. This reel is holding up great. I think it is the same as the Curado BFS which they do not sell in Japan. The JDM version of the SLX BFS is super fun to fish. The only thing with this reel that is a slight negative is the weight. I would say its the same as a normal Curado or SLX. I have the BFS Shimano Aldebaran and it's MUCH lighter but cost about double. Overall I would get it again for a middle-of-the-road BFS reel. I enjoy fishing with it. Tight lines and again thanks for watching!
@timeintheoutdoors I have 2 other slx reels and I love them, the slx a and the slx dc. Both of are over a year old and are still very reliable. I have heard very good things about the aldebaran, it is just a little to pricey for me. Maybe in the future. Until then I will stick to the ole trusty slx line. Tight lines🤙
…I really like it and would get it again. Either the JDM SLX BFS or the US Curado BFS would be a good choice. The clicker drags is part of the fun. Thanks for watching!!
I love how they put the clicker drag ! most reviews dont even talk about that! That sold it for me lol ! im getting one now ! thanks for that review

That's a nice looking reel! I love the products Shimano makes. Always reliable!
They are always good. Thanks for watching!
Good morning Jason, looks like I may have to give one of these reels a go! Hope all is well and Happy Holidays!
Thanks for watching! It's a good reel and you would love it. Good to see you are still on here.
@@timeintheoutdoors Thanks
Thanks for this review! What brake settings did you settle on?
I’ll check and reply back later this weekend. Thanks for watching!

First thanks for watching. I really like my SLX BFS….it’s one of my go to “fun” rods when I’m just going for fish. Cheers and tight lines!

How had it held up? Thanks for your review on the reel, I am just curious to see how it has held up for a year of use.

There isn’t any difference between a curado and an SLX pretty much the same reel different paint job that’s it
With the lure, line weight, and rod ur using, you actually dont need a bfs reel.
I do realize that but it’s what I had at the time and it was fun. Thanks for watching!
