That style of formed O-ring gasket is generally fine to reuse unless damaged or very old and flat.

That's what I thought since it still seemed like new, thanks for the advise!

I'm thinking of turbo charging my 22re (114k miles) and these corolla videos are pretty inspiring in a sense. Thanks
Also I know that the only thing they have in common are that they're Toyotas

Would love to see a boosted 22re! I know nothing about the 22re so I don't know how well they take boost but it would be cool to see!

Forgot to mention - your power steering fluid looks black and needs to be changed.
It should be red, as trans fluid should be used. Power steering fluid degrades the rubber tubing and contaminates.
Looking forward to this in next video 🙏😎🙏

Thanks for the info! Your comment reminded me that I don't think the power steering fluid has *ever* been changed, I'll get to that very soon!

Great video - I need to replace my intake manifold gasket, so I *Will* use this video as a reference.

Awesome! It's not too bad of a job, 6 bolts and 3 vacuum lines is all that's there!

Was it squeekimg before the belt came off or was the water pump leaking coolant?

Did the stock MAF cause any problems with the turbo kit?

Amazing video and great content! I own a Toyota Avensis T25 2003 with the same engine 1ZZ-FE and you really made me think about putting on a turbo kit. You should take the car to the dyno to see how many horsepower it has reached. Cheers!
