I just got a vantop 2.5k mirror dash cam for my 4Runner. I installed the rear camera to the front grill to have a trail camera I could not be happier ! Think I’ll make a video
How’s the visibility at night with the camera behind the tint? I got about 5% on mine and didn’t think about installing it on the inside until I saw your video.
Good video. Thanks for showing the reverse light tap. Going to do that mod. I’m curious what you plan on tapping into for the always on. I plan on mounting the camera outside on one of my arms for the dual swingarm.
For the always on I’ll tap underneath the driver side fuse box. Just need a light tester to locate the + positive. I’ve been wanting to mount the camera outside as well for better clarity, I just haven’t gotten to it. Thanks for checking out the video bud
@OtzleeExplains I have a quick question (again). I've have a G890 (with interior camera = 3 total). I followed the example with the red wires in back (only difference is I wired mine on the passenger side). Wiring is same on both sides for tail light pos/neg wires. Yet the rear camera will not power up. The 2 front cameras power on with no issues. They are even hardwired for constant power under the dash. I've checked everything, but I'm stumped. Wolfbox has even sent a replacement camera, and it still won't power up. I'm really at a loss.
Great video and shows how easy these adult legos are to wire up! Question for you... the other light above that you did not tap into, is that always on? I would like to keep my review on at all times and toggle back and forth when needed.
I have had this installed for a few months now. I noticed that the rear started to become unfocused with the tire carrier. Wondering if you will see the same issue.
Nope, Its pretty clear to me. I wonder if it is a defective rear camera? You may want to reach out to wolfbox and send them the rear videos to confirm why its going out of focus.
I have 2018 4runner also. I have the baja designs rtl-s lightbar installed on the back roof. Its not like a regular light bar. Its used for turn signals, reverse lights, and brake lights. Its wired to my switch to turn on/off at push of the button and uses a trigger wire to automatically come on when i go into reverse. This leads me to my question. Do you know if adding this mirror would overload the reverse circuit? That would mean the tailights, part of the lightbar ( white part ), and the camera would activate all at once when putting the rig into reverse. Im just afriad that if i add this camera itll overload that circuit.
Thanks for the review, I'm going to order it 👍🏽
It’s a great cam. Be sure to use my promo code for discount. Lmk if you need it

Thanks for the video! I'm planning to get WOLFBOX G840S for my 2019 4runner, supposed it should work just like what you showed in the video
Yup. Should work just the same!
I love your fridge slide setup. Where did you get it?
Thank! It was actually custom fabricated

Wiring color can vary between models, Are you using a light tester to see if you are getting power on that wire?
@@OtzleeExplains i did.
Could you give more information on your kitchen drawer setup? who makes it?
It’s custom actually, me and my buddy built this from scratch

I’m not sure which one you’re referring to but I always use a light tester to find my + and ignition +
@OtzleeExplains sorry... I was referring to the ones with the yellow t taps which go to the brake light.

I wouldn’t know for certain since you have a bunch of items loaded. Worse case you’d pop a fuse to find out
Do you have to tap the wire into a positive, or will it work without it?
You’ll need to tap a power source if you want the anytime recording. Otherwise you can use the 12v cigarette plug
thanks man!
