Really enjoyed this video, could you do more like these? Cases you see on call and how you deal with them? What your ix, differentials are and how you managed it??

Hello Dr. Chris, I’d like to know if we can apply for dermatology training after MRCP Part 2 or is it required for us to complete all the three parts of MRCP? Also, in our e-portfolio does it help to have a QIP related to the speciality we’d wanna apply to? Are paper and poster presentations related to dermatology help with better scoring on application to dermatology training? Kindly help me out, I’m currently in my IMY2 year, yet to give Part 1 MRCP.

Hello! Yes, you can apply for Dermatology and go through the interview before passing PACES (MRCP part 3). However, you need to complete all 3 parts before you start training.
QIP related to the interested specialty always helps as you can talk about it during interviews. However, this is not needed to score points. Same thing for oral and poster presentations. =)
PS: The guidance on MRCP keeps changing so keep an eye out for the latest update by looking at the official ST3 recruitment website!

    Dear Dr.Chris,
    You are my inspiration.
I love your videos, it motivates me .
I have applied for Msc clinical dermatology .what else can this degree be useful other than cv building?
What is the procedure to become a professor in dermatology?
Can i become a professor with this masters?
Will I get any job after completing the masters ? It would be greatly appreciated if you could clarify doctor.
    Thank you
    Keep uploading

      Thank you for your support!
I haven’t done an MSc in dermatology myself but I think depending on the MSc itself, you will be given opportunities to do research and interact with academically inclined dermatologists. Some people can use the MSc as evidence to show higher training in their own countries. I’m not entirely sure the process of becoming a professor but I would imagine being constantly involved in clinical trials and research!
