      We lost a couple premium members but no big deal. Barbara can’t make her motorcycle decisions based on what fans think. If I cared about that I’d be making videos about Harley Davidson’s because those creators get subs and views by the millions. We’re fine right we are thanks to good people like you!

    I’m 78 and new to my Spyder after 48 years on 2 wheels. You’ll be wearing excitement on your face even when you’re NOT riding. Just knowing it’s in your garage. Spyder riders form an enthusiastic community. You’ll always have a special smile to go with your wave at another Ryder approaching. I know you’ll enjoy it, you already are.

    Welcome to the world of SPYDER! I’ve owned an RT since 2014 following a really bad motorcycle accident in which my left leg was amputated above the knee. The Spyder allowed me to continue to ride. These handle amazingly well in the worst weather and terrains. I rode mine in an insane downpour, along muddy dirt roads full of deep water-filled puddles through miles of Forrest before I found my way to a main road again, no thanks to Google maps. I didn’t plan on that ride trust me, I got lost and Google maps took me into the woods on dirt roads when all of the sudden I got stuck in a downpour complete with thunder and lightning. I arrived home three hours later drenched but alive. I never did reach my original planned destination but Hey, it was fun, lol. Enjoy, your gonna love it.

    Good show Barb, kudos your sea to sky. At 88 young years I got my first Spyder, a 2020 RTL, a great choice for me. Having starting my m/c part time career in 1968, it was time for 3 wheels. Wife Millie and I are doing a road trip next week from FL to TN, No trailer; now for the first trip packing, our plan, compression bags. 47 gallons capacity on the RTL, we should be able to get it done. Love your home by the way.

    My husband brought me down to just look at it and that was all it took! That Sea to Sky is just gorgeous! I love it! I never road a motorcycle except for when I got my license five years ago. I put on over 2500 miles on it this summer! My husband loves it so much he sold his Valkyrie and bought the F3 Special Spyder. We added the longer foot pads with the LED lights and the extra lights in the front. We also added passenger arm rests. LOVE IT!!

    Great looking Spyder! I rode 2 wheels (Harley’s and BMW’s) until a bicycle wreck (I’ve had several) 3 years ago, combined with my age made me no longer comfortable on 2 wheels (strength and balance). I had never seriously considered 3 wheels but wanted to keep riding, so I bought a new CanAm Spyder RTL 2 years ago. I love it and my wife rides pillion often, something she hadn’t done on 2 wheels with me in 20 years. Enjoy!

      Hey Bill, do you find it to be safer as far as cars seeing you more easily? I stopped riding two wheels because of the risk, but have thought about getting a Spyder.

    • @Eli4Bill
      @Eli4Bill 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bettysmith4527 Betty, I think Spyder’s are definitely more easily seen. Unlike trikes, Spyder’s have 2 wheels up front, along with dual lighting, actually more than dual lighting and the lights are spread out wider, again creating more visibility. I do feel safer meeting cars, but still am always aware of my surroundings.

    I had an Indian Scout. I loved it, but blew out my right knee, and just couldn't hold the bike up safely. I didn't know much about Spyders except everyone I knew made fun of them. The easy of them, the confidence they give me, the ability to ride again, is why I love my Spyder. I am so happy that I gave them a shot.

      My wife and I just completed the purchase of a 2023 RT Limited and are just awaiting it to be assembled for pickup. We are so excited and can’t wait to start our Spyder journey. I’ve always wanted and open air vehicle but my wife was a hard “NO” on a motorcycle. She’s scared to death that I’d get seriously injured or even killed on it. There was no talking her out of this. Finally she relented to considering a 3-wheeled vehicle and is actually more excited than me to hit the open road.

    Just returned from my annual Family Motorcycle trip where we rode 3000 miles in 7 days. Ultimate hard ride! I bought a Spyder F3 T in March and turned 2800 miles before this trip. I thought I was ready for this hard riding but no! Apparently the Spyder is great for local not so hard riding, but try doing 80 MPH and get into tight curves. Especially when those curves are flat and not banked into the curve. I found myself working very hard to keep my F3 on the road in those curves, at least it felt that way. I just may go back to 2 wheels.

    • @TwoIndians
      @TwoIndians  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah the three wheelers are not meant for high speed cornering. I mean we all kinda know that going in, you lean, the bike stays level, the downside to comfort and stability. Always a trade off right? We have yet to do a long trip on ours yet but it is coming soon.

    I traded my 16 Indian Chieftain in on a 20 Spyder RT- L I now have 14000 miles on her and have gotten a BAJARON Anti Sway bar from LaMonster Garage for her installing it in 2 weeks everyone says that's a good option and you can feel the difference immediately. Love this machine.

    I'm also getting a 2021 Spyder. Long story short like Barbra, I was having trouble with leaning. When it's not fun, get something else. I'm 62 years old and having balance issues. I hope to get it next month. If they have a Sea-to-Sky in stock, I'll get it. Been doing research for almost 2 years now.
    Happy Spydering. Ride Safe.

      I’m 66 now and I traded in my Harley Dyna FatBob bcuz of my knees and back. Kinda wish that I hadn’t. I miss it. I enjoyed making slow right turn ins that I was so far over that I’d scrape my right boot heel and the muffler. It had a two in one Vance and Hines exhaust. Sounded B. A. I would buy a Can - Am, but I can’t afford it now and when I could, it would be a tough decision to make having to go to a semi automatic transmission. I prefer a manual

    Congrats Barbara on a great looking bike. Like both of you I have rode bikes all my life and now find myself looking at the Spyda's. They are becoming more and more popular and the people that say they don't like them, should take a test ride to see how fun they are. All the best and stay safe .. cheers from the Ottawa Valley Ont, Canada.

    I finally added the Bajaron sway bar to my 2020 RT-L and expected it to handle better in the corners which it did but the biggest surprise was how much more planted it felt going straight on the highway at 70-=80 mph now have almost 16000 miles on her and love every minute. Also just added floorboard riser and handle bar riser.

    • @TwoIndians

    I think it's awesome. As I age, I too wonder about riding two wheels. I have dropped my bike more in the last year than I have over the entire riding years that I've had one. Yours's is absolutely beautiful. It fits you to a "T".. Enjoy ;-) So, Brian, need to tell about he mechanics of the bike. I know you talked about the transmission and things , the engine, how to access it, maintenance etc. Barb, I love the color too. ;-)

    Funny how I just purchased a Spyder and suddenly I’m getting tons of Spyder channels on my feed. 😀 I appreciate her reasons for seeking out a Spyder, as it is exactly the same for me. After ten years on a Piaggio MP3, it’s time to switch to three wheels. I still love the MP3 and while it is remarkably stable in a variety of situations, I’ve dropped it enough times that the anxiety at low speeds/parking lots is stealing my enjoyment. I tried a triked Burgman and NOPE, I sold it within a few months. I found a 2016 RTS with ridiculously low miles and finally made the plunge. I look forward to watching more videos on your channel, as I am just starting this journey. Ride safe!

    Beautiful trike! My wife has an older RT-S, and I will say that the single biggest improvement you can make is to replace the factory bologna-skin Kendas with some "real" tires. I installed Vredesteins on wifey's RT-S and it is far more confidence-inspiring now, and the center of the tread doesn't wear out prematurely. We live in northern Wyoming, and have some of the best curvy mountain riding in the US, so good tires were a high priority. (Incidentally, I ride a VStar 1300...fantastic bike!)

    • @TwoIndians
      @TwoIndians  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ha! You must’ve loved seeing Barb’s Vstar then. Awesome! Thanks for the advice on the tires, that’s one of my big things. Always good tires.

    I see more and more of these around everyday, but I never in my wildest imagination thought I would give any thought to checking out a Spyder until last night. My neighbor bought one yesterday and I saw him riding it up the gravel road we share. Of course I had to go over and see what new toy he got. I have to say, I was quite impressed. He can no longer ride on two-wheels and really missed riding. His son rides a Harley and talked his dad into going three wheels so they can ride together. No shame in that whatsoever. I am 61 and I have a long way to go, but at some point I am anticipating that I will need to consider a trike, and really don’t want to spend 45k for a Tri-Glide or GoldWing. This may just be the future ticket. And by the way…. Who gives a damn what other people think?
