Great job, Beth! So glad you got to experience that ryde with the Sea to Sky. You feel the same way about your ryker as I feel about my F3.... Love, love, love it... Fits me like a glove 💜💜💜
I’m so glad I watched your video. You showed me how much space is in the “frunk” of the Spyder. My 2022 hasn’t arrived yet, but I needed to know the interior measurements of the storage compartments. You did it visually for me. I need to buy a new case to carry two computers, a tablet, and all their hardware. I now know what to get. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! 😁🌸
I think it's like comparing a sports bike to a touring bike. Like you said, it's really what you want to do with the bike. Running around town or a local group ride, maybe going to work, the Ryker. For the Spyder Sea-to-Sky, same as the Ryker BUT the option to tour for days. It has the gas range and all the comforts and storage you need to make those long trips. In my case, I turned 62 and retired so I want to ryde the rydes in comfort. I did research on the Spyders for 2 years before I pulled the trigger on my Sea-to-Sky. I would say, the majority of Spyder ryders are Baby Boomers or getting closer to retirement age. We just have to have comfort for these old bodies. LOL Looking forward to your Smokey Mountain ride on the Sea-to-Sky. Great vid!
Great review of the Sea to Sky and comparison to the Ryker. Two totally different machines. Would love to have an F3 Limited to get cruise control and power steering and my Ryker but I don't ryde my Ryker enough now to warrant the cost of it let alone a $30k second bike. Looking forward to all the videos your trip inspires. Glad you got to go on that ryde and got back safe.
Def thinking about getting an F3T for my second three wheeler. But I also find myself longing to hit some dirt trails that are too narrow for my riker so I think a Honda Africa twin is also on my list. Like you I love my Ryker and drive it everyday. It is definitely the best commute to work I have ever had no matter the weather.
The Africa Twin is a very large m/c and can cause personal injury to those up in years, I write from experience. I rode trail bikes from 200cc, 250cc, 350cc & 400cc all were kick start. The Days of kick start are gone so are heavy trail bikes. You can now find electric start street legal more power fuel injected bikes that are superior to Yamaha TW. Look at KTM, Yamaha and (Red) , short for Honda. The new 300's are a hit.
My husband & i bought our Ryker Rallies in 2020 and kept the roads hot during covid. Lol Great fun, hitting mountain rides, the parkways in Virginia etc. The Spyders are nice but felt kinda bulky and slower after our Rykers. Both have their places for sure. Love your videos, thanks for sharing.
Excellent video. I just ordered a 2022 RT Limited in Petrol Metallic. I learned a bunch watching this video. I like your presentation style. Keep it up!
I think is cool you did Sea to Sky eastern US. I've got a 21' RTL Marsala Dark and I love it. The heated seat is nicer than expected on our 38 degree NC mornings. I'm going to have to get a taller windshield for mine ,I can look right over it.
We have a 2020RTL in Chalk. Here in Northern Virginia it doesn't matter if you are on a Ryker or a Spyder the waves are far more than the standard motorcycle rider low wave. Agree the visual modifications for Rykers is well beyond Spyders and I think that is due to Spyder mods centering on touring. I think the more lights the better. Really enjoyed the review. I really do want to go for a test ride on a Ryker.
If I may, I found out the low “peace sign” bikers give each other means ‘may you be safe and keep two wheel on the pavement”. I think when my Spyder finally arrives, for three wheelers I’ll do a “three down”, and for two wheelers I’ll do “two down”. Ridding is riding, and you ride for fun and with what you can afford. 😃😎 Be safe and enjoy!
Great review Beth. I couldn’t agree more about the Ryker community being such a tight knit group of people who share their passion for all things Ryker. We ride long distance on our rykers and enjoy every minute. While it may not be as comfortable as it could be on a Spyder, with modifications, it is awesome having a fun bike for around town and also for that 2k road trip. I do admit though, the hubby has been looking at the F3 pretty hard. Can’t wait for your video on it!
Had them both 900 rally and now a F3S Special addition! both fun! If you want long range comfort, more storage capability, and better 2 up riding comfort, Spyder. If you want to twist and go, zip around the hood etc. Ryker. kind of like a Harley Sportster vs. a sportster. BTW, I am also the Admin: of Can am Ryker bikers and Spyder Ryders, and also Twisted Throttle trike riders NY, Ct. on FB. Stop on by! Another great video, Beth!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I did get up to 200 miles on gas of thank on my Ryker (2018), diving at 55-70 miles/hr. I hope to do better with my Spyder 2021.
I’m actually in that category where I will have both. Last year I bought a 2021 Ryker rally and I currently have the 2022 to Sea to Sky ordered with an expected delivery of late January. Can’t wait to start making longer road trips and doing some meadow camping without having to refuel constantly.
good video … yes what you want the bike for is very important….. and also as important is big price difference if you want all that comfort…. stay safe out there…
Beth,, Once again a great comparison.. Both are the Best of the 3 wheel machines.. Ryker Sport fun bike.. RT is a long comfortable ryde.. Thanks.. Be Well
I visited the projects up North and a lot of folks renting their have the Rykers they were lined up like 15/20 in a row. Therefore my decision was to buy an RT. ✌🏻
Great video Beth! I am planning on getting a 2022 Ryker Rally or Sport, but I have been considering an F3 T, so if BRP can get you an F3 T to review that would be great. Still heavily leaning to Ryker Rally. Again, love the videos.
Beth, without this video I wouldn't have know my F3 had a gas milage range feature. I was kinda disappointed. but this RT had one and I know the computer systems could't be that different. so after looking and fooling around I found it under some obscure menu item. Thanks !
I love my Ryker….I feel the same….I have a friend who has an F3 and it’s really nice. If I took long rides I would want to use a spyder but day trips are perfect with my Ryker….if I had the $$$$ I would definitely have both…lol
Love this comparison video. I'm leaning towards the Sea to Sky myself because of the various perks you mentioned this bike has. The only caveat being is if you came with the Ryker, well then I'd have no choice but to get the Ryker. Sorry S2S, the host is priceless.
Great to get your thoughts here Beth, I ride both. The F3S & 900 rally, the Spyder for sure for distance and highway because of its stability and cruise control and plain comfort. The Ryker for the more spirited riding through the hills and around town. I love them both but one thing with the Ryker it also allows you to explore un paved roads without fear of getting stones in the belt. Glad you enjoyed the trip. 👍🦘 ps (you definitely need a brake pedal extension on that Sea to Sky at 5’ 3”)
I would like to see a comparison between the F3 vs the Ryker. I personally have ridden both. The F3 is more suited to freeway use and is way more visible to other drivers. For a city only use, the Ryker makes sense but for anything else, the F3 is the better of the two.
Anyone who loves the sportiness of the Ryker will love all models of the F3. I have the F3T and the Ryker and love them both for different reasons. The F3 does touring as well as sport and again, your sitting in the bike not on top of it at less rpms and better torque.
Thanks for sharing your comparison of the bikes I have never rode one but would love to try one I have a gold wing and a Honda shadow but I am 70 now and finding the wing with the trailer and wife and all our luggage is getting heavy for a old guy to hold up so times anyway thanks for sharing your video take care
Thanks for watching Tom! Yes, I know a a lot of Harley riders that switch over to the Spyder. It is such a comfortable ride (so is the Goldwing). But not having to hold it up, or worry about road conditions etc is a huge!
today i had my garage door open and the mail carrier rang the doorbell ,she saw my ryker inside and wanted to know how i liked it because she has aa 2020 rally . so i guess you are right about being family .
Barefoot Beth! Great review and (not-so-much) comparison 😉. They are definitely designed for two different riders - what I've tried explaining to folks asking. The RT class and especially the C2Sky have luxury features that you just don't know how much you love them until you've had them. But I'd agree with you - if you could get both, get 'em! Your insight is always much appreciated, thanks!
Hi I'm Cadillac Mike I have a can am spider RTS 2015 Enjoy your video just want you to know we all are family Spider and riker community We lived to ride😁👍🏍
I LOVED the comment about the Ryker Community vs the Spyder Community. I’ve mentioned to Alex a few times, and NO OFFENSE to ANY Spyder Ryders out there….but anytime I’ve seen a Ryker, we wave, honk, yell…whatever it takes to see each other, yet Spyder owners are a little more aloof. And maybe that is because they’ve been around for longer and are a step above a Ryker. I guess since I’m ‘new’ to riding in general, I’m waving at you no matter what you’re on. But have definitely noticed it not fully reciprocated to me. I told Alex the easiest way to describe it is ‘How do you like that? Even among misfits, you're misfits.’ - Yukon Cornelius
OK, so it's not just me!!??? I also wave at anyone on 2 or 3 wheels, even if they are on a scooter. Same wind, and being kind is the only thing free these days!! Spread the love....it'll catch on!
A lot of misfits have Rykers no pun intended. It’s like owning a Dodge Charger a lot of millennials blocking highways and spinning in the streets doing doughnuts and cutting people off giving them the finger, the bike to most are considered a thug bike while the RT’s are considered laidback riders which mostly are people 45 yrs old/older who have them. Kids get these bikes and ride around like gangs/ gangsters terrorizing the streets and that’s mainly why people ignore the good Ryker riders, their unsure if they’re friend or Foe” as the years goes on your starting to see a lot more classy people with Rykers. Ps: just my 0.2 cents. Thanks
I used to ride a Kawasaki Vn2000j the bike weighed in at 795. With no reverse gear. That it the coolest thing is being able to back up unassisted on the canal spyder.
Am highly interested and excited about purchasing a new Ryker. I have watched many videos and I know the Ryker inside n out and I don’t even own one yet. The community and custom’s that I have seen blow my mind. Long story short of all the themes I have seen and maybe there is one out there am a huge fan of the movie character Predator I also collect high end predator collectibles my goal is to have a predator Ryker theme which will be a work in progress. Am retired and I looking forward to achieving this goal. Thank you for your great videos. Marco G
Your observation about the nature of the communities surrounding the Ryker vs Spyder was interesting. I wonder if the Ryker community is closer because of the nature of the riding you do? Meaning closer to home more urban. Where me as a Spyder RTL rider tend to be looking for reasons to long haul rarely ever seeing the same people, it’s also harder to pull over doing 70 mph. Just a few of my thoughts on the subject. I really appreciated your overall review, you are correct in that we have all seen plenty of technical reviews. I love the hear personal testimonies of long rides. Thank you, I’m subscribing today.
Seriously considering the Spyder but the Ryker looks extremely fun. Been a Harley rider most of my life and have had many good ones I’ve loved. Problem is for the money you get way more options with a Spyder. Currently we have a Triglide but my wife would like her own so we’ve been looking at Spyders for her. She likes the seating position. I do also so if we get one and we enjoy it we’ll get a second one. I have many friends who have made the switch. Yeah your Harley buddies will kid you but when you leave them in the dust and ride in more comfort they’ll take notice.
That’s awesome!!! Thanks for watching. If you do a lot of touring and long rides, then the Spyder may be a great fit. Ps sorry for my delayed response, I am still on my bike trip.
Nice video. New sub here. I can't decide which is best for me... but I do love long road trips and ... I think I would love the power steering of the Spyder. Cheers! (I noticed you haven't been making videos lately... I hope all is well.)
A great video for comparing these two Can Am bikes! I enjoyed the down to earth review and I want an honest review as you have clearly done. The choice, as you have stated, is what does one want to use the bike for? And this helps so much to think about which is best suited for you. Thank you for your review. I am new to your reviews, but I am already looking forward to many more videos on anything that you ride. Ride with Peace.
Hey Beth side question I’m getting a Ryker 900cc soon and will be looking to buy a windshield. What size should I get ? I’m 5”7 and will be doing local riding but the hwys here in Texas mph are 70 and some 80mph. Thanks! Gerome
Great question. I have only had the 2 versions of the Can-am windshields and I like the bigger one better (better for wind buffering). I know this may sound strange, but you may want to buy from Amazon and see which one you like better. I have heard great things about aftermarket windshields too, just be sure theirs will allow access to your frunk. Trying doing a search in the big FB pages for windshields, a lot will come up. Let me know what you choose.
awesome video ive been thinking of getting a can-am bike for a long time now my truck is almost paid off i know some of these bikes are expensive .both the ryker and the RT are very nice bikes .i dont have any experience on a bike at all especially a 2 wheeled bike i think a 3 wheeled bike would be better for me ive been watching videos on these bikes and getting familiar with them .i would use the bike for going back and forth to work or just cruising around on a nice back road i wouldnt go on a highway very much til i got comfortable with it too many nuts out there .
Im looking for a trike that I can ride through europe as I spend a lot of time abroad. Would a ryker 900 be able to do that, or would you have to buy a spyder for that.
I'm planning on getting one, but i'm not sure what I want to get. I just paid off my 07 Harley fat boy so that'll be my trade in. i had back surgery and can't do a lot of time on that bike. It kills me.
Sorry to hear about your back. Definitely sit on the different models (RT vs F3 vs Ryker) and see which one feels more comfortable on your back. Each one sits differently.
I have sat on both and I like feeling of being part of the bike on the Ryker rather than on top f the bike like a Spider. I would however get both if I cold afford it.
Beth, I just saw your comparison I have the S2S you showed and at 5'4" I also feel the seat is a little long in the tooth. That backrest you showed looks perfect but I cannot find your link nor can I find the pad anywhere. Can you please help
Here is what I have (just the cushion). Maybe you can find one similar on Amazon? Something that’s not quite as expensive? www.rykerrydes.com/product-page/ryker-passanger-backrest
Hello I enjoyed your video but I need a little bit more personal information I seem to Riker and I've seen the spider but I like to know what would you recommend for a person that is right around 6'1 250 lb I sat on a Riker once but it felt like it was too small and an F3 or a RT seems to be the right size for me after I make a few adjustments with the legs and the handle could I get your opinion
Hi Vernon. I have a friend that is 6’6” and loves his Ryker. It really is personal preference. If you are looking to do more long rides or ride with a passenger than definitely get a Spyder.
I am so sorry that you have had so many issues. My Ryker has 20k miles and just now had my first problem (video coming once it can get resolved). The Spyders are twice as much money as the Rykers but you also get a lot more creature comforts.
Ty for the comparison! What about the new fs3 spider? I heard they r like a corvette compared to a Camaro "Ryker"! Not even in the same class as each other and yes the Spider is definitely the touring trike but this new FS3 Spider 1330cc is supposed to b a rocket and operates so much .ore smoothly and comfortably! Thoughts?!
Great Job Beth! Your video was a great help. Thanks. I just passed the 3 wheel course, now trying to decide which Can-Am I want. I road the Ryker during the course. It was fun but not comfortable for me. I will definitely need a upgrade from the Ryker. Since I’m new to riding I definitely don’t want to purchase the top of the line yet. I only plan to ride on nice days, for now. I am curious if the S2S is automatic or semi automatic?
The Sea to Sky, like all recent year Spyders are automatic assist. You will need to use the paddle shifters to up shift, but downshifts automatically for you. NO clutch. It is VERY easy. Trust me!
Great review! After test riding a 2022 RTL, I sat on a Sea to Sky and immediately noticed that the plusher seat made me feel like I was sitting ON it rather than IN it. And I think that whoever designed the infotainment systems in these things should be severely punished! The newer models of the Sea to Sky do not come with the luggage.
@@RykerRydes I went with the less-expensive RTL. For the money, I didn’t need the bling and the S2S doesn’t come with the luggage anymore. Picked it up in early September and put it to bed for the winter with 2153 miles on the ticker. Next upgrade might be passenger armrests. And the jury’s still out on whether I need/want a Pedal Box/Commander….
Can-Am dealer told me today that you can buy the S2S luggage to use with RTL. Don't know the price. I think the luggage and maybe the seat would be the only reasons I'd prefer S2S over the RTL. Beth, what does your husband and other man-sized friends think of RT vs Ryker?

Great video Beth! I am planning on getting a 2022 Ryker Rally or Sport, but I have been considering an F3 T, so if BRP can get you an F3 T to review that would be great. Still heavily leaning to Ryker Rally. Again, love the videos.
A Spyder F3 will be the next bike I review, just not sure I can get my hands on an FS T. I will try!
Beth, without this video I wouldn't have know my F3 had a gas milage range feature. I was kinda disappointed. but this RT had one and I know the computer systems could't be that different. so after looking and fooling around I found it under some obscure menu item. Thanks !
Awww thanks Dale!! Maybe I should do a video on it?
@@RykerRydes sure. The hidden features 🙂
I love my Ryker….I feel the same….I have a friend who has an F3 and it’s really nice. If I took long rides I would want to use a spyder but day trips are perfect with my Ryker….if I had the $$$$ I would definitely have both…lol
Me toooooo lol
Couldn't agree more!
Love this comparison video. I'm leaning towards the Sea to Sky myself because of the various perks you mentioned this bike has. The only caveat being is if you came with the Ryker, well then I'd have no choice but to get the Ryker. Sorry S2S, the host is priceless.
You are too funny! I enjoy your comments!!!
👍🦘 ps (you definitely need a brake pedal extension on that Sea to Sky at 5’ 3”)
I couldn’t agree with you more!!
I would like to see a comparison between the F3 vs the Ryker. I personally have ridden both. The F3 is more suited to freeway use and is way more visible to other drivers. For a city only use, the Ryker makes sense but for anything else, the F3 is the better of the two.
The F3 will be the next Can-am I review!
Did you find the F3 steering better than the Ryker or much the same?
Great video Beth! Maybe later on life I will get a Spider. Wonderful review!
Thanks William!!
That backrest cushion is a great idea, those seats are so big!
I know, right?! 🤪
Awesome review. I have the Can Am Spyder and I love mine.
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Anyone who loves the sportiness of the Ryker will love all models of the F3. I have the F3T and the Ryker and love them both for different reasons. The F3 does touring as well as sport and again, your sitting in the bike not on top of it at less rpms and better torque.
Couldn’t agree more!
Great review
Thanks Wendy!
Cool video, great comparison with experience on both.... thanks!!
Glad you liked it! I appreciate you watching!
Thanks for a great video! I'm looking to re-bike from 2 wheels, your video was really informative 😊
Any time! Thanks for watching snd the sweet message.
This is an excellent video, Thank you for your honest review.
My absolute pleasure!!
today i had my garage door open and the mail carrier rang the doorbell ,she saw my ryker inside and wanted to know how i liked it because she has aa 2020 rally . so i guess you are right about being family .
I love that! The "family" feeling is my favorite part about owning a Ryker.
Nice video 👍
Thanks Keith!
Great review for a newbie like me looking to buy a Can Am. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!!
Totally agree! Thank you so much for watching and commenting Keith!
Hi I'm Cadillac Mike I have a can am spider RTS 2015 Enjoy your video just want you to know we all are family Spider and riker community We lived to ride😁👍🏍
Thanks Cadillac Mike!!! I agree, one big Can-am family!!
Thank you for the video , I love Spyder RT , if I was young , I may think about Ryker but I think Spyder is more like , my cup of tea .
Absolutely! Both are so great!
Absolutely!!!! Thanks so much for watching!!
Marco G
Thanks for watching Marco! Wow, a Predator theme Ryker! That will be sooooo cool. I can’t wait to see the progress.
Hi Frank. You could be absolutely right regarding the communities of the the Ryker vs Spyder. It could be that the Ryker is still so new?
Very informative, thank you very much! (And by the way, it's nice to see another barefoot runner).
Thanks so much! Yup, I just feel more grounded being barefoot. 😊
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice video. I wish i can have money to buy one. I really love the spyder RT (Sea to Sky). Life is not fair sometimes.
Thanks so much for watching!
Great review Barefoot Beth 😊 Thanks from Aussie
You’re welcome mate! 😊
RYKER FAMILY ROCKS!!!
Another great video ma'am. Do you have any info on that seat pad? My SO rides a 2019 RT Limited and could use that. Keep up the good work.
At my age I would have the Spyder but i agree with you, if you can afford both then that would be the way to go. Great video clip
Thanks Joseph. I appreciate you watching!!
Nice video. New sub here. I can't decide which is best for me... but I do love long road trips and ... I think I would love the power steering of the Spyder. Cheers! (I noticed you haven't been making videos lately... I hope all is well.)
Thanks for checking in! I’ve out riding (long road trips), but I should have a new video out this week.
Thank you Roger!!! I am usually much quicker at replying!!! Been crazy busy building my new website: www.RykerRydes.com check it out.
Hey Beth side question
I’m getting a Ryker 900cc soon and will be looking to buy a windshield. What size should I get ?
I’m 5”7 and will be doing local riding but the hwys here in Texas mph are 70 and some 80mph.
Thanks!
Gerome
I am not Beth, but get yourself a big one for those speed limits. it will help keep the wind off of your chest. safe and Happy riding Sir.
I agree with you Tony, makes a huge difference.
the dream motorcycle has a great design and appearance, their owners are very lucky❤
awesome video ive been thinking of getting a can-am bike for a long time now my truck is almost paid off i know some of these bikes are expensive .both the ryker and the RT are very nice bikes .i dont have any experience on a bike at all especially a 2 wheeled bike i think a 3 wheeled bike would be better for me ive been watching videos on these bikes and getting familiar with them .i would use the bike for going back and forth to work or just cruising around on a nice back road i wouldnt go on a highway very much til i got comfortable with it too many nuts out there .
Let me know what you decide. The research part is half the fun. Check out F3’s too.
@@RykerRydes i did watch a video lastnight a guy was talking about his F3S that was a nice bike i think i found my bike the F3S is beautiful .
👄 THANKS for the review👍🌺
Thank you for watching Debbie!
Im looking for a trike that I can ride through europe as I spend a lot of time abroad. Would a ryker 900 be able to do that, or would you have to buy a spyder for that.
That is a tough, personal call. People have done long trips on a Ryker, but I prefer a Spyder. More storage space and better stock seat.
Great Video super informative!
Glad it was helpful!
I own a Ryker! Only 1 word AWSOME!
Great video. Would like any info on that seat pad.
The link in the description of the video but here ya go:

@@RykerRydes Thank you.
AWESOME VIDEO { Great DEMO } !!! LUV ALL the DETAILS ( PHOTOS & Data ) :O)) HOPE , They OFFER U JOB , SOOOON !!! Heee HEEEE
Awwww thank you so much!!
You should put a link to that Amazon back pad…
Love it. Im always wishing for the spyder ❤😊
Me too! Lol
Awesome subjective review with a different honest perspective. 👍
I appreciate that! Thank you!
Excellent Video--Thank You
My absolute pleasure. Thanks for watching!!
Great content!!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching.
I have sat on both and I like feeling of being part of the bike on the Ryker rather than on top f the bike like a Spider. I would however get both if I cold afford it.
Couldn’t agree more!!

RT Hands Down the winner, Safety, handling comfort and speed
Hello I enjoyed your video but I need a little bit more personal information I seem to Riker and I've seen the spider but I like to know what would you recommend for a person that is right around 6'1 250 lb I sat on a Riker once but it felt like it was too small and an F3 or a RT seems to be the right size for me after I make a few adjustments with the legs and the handle could I get your opinion
Hi Vernon. I have a friend that is 6’6” and loves his Ryker. It really is personal preference. If you are looking to do more long rides or ride with a passenger than definitely get a Spyder.
These are a snowmobile with wheels.
But they sure are fun!!
Is the sea to sky better then they ryker Beth I have a 2022 ryker 900 ace rally n it was a waste of money I've had issues after issues with it
I am so sorry that you have had so many issues.
Thoughts?!
I hope to be doing a review on the F3 soon, just need to get my hands on one!
Ya I road 1 and they r unbelievable! Awesome 👌 in every way fashion but it is more sport a lot more so no bags for long rides u can get them buuuuut!
Trust me!
@@RykerRydes Okay, I will give it a try. I’m still in contact with my instructor so I’ll get some help if I need it.
Hey David, you gave a great review. So which did you decide on?
@@RykerRydes I went with the less-expensive RTL. For the money, I didn’t need the bling and the S2S doesn’t come with the luggage anymore. Picked it up in early September and put it to bed for the winter with 2153 miles on the ticker. Next upgrade might be passenger armrests. And the jury’s still out on whether I need/want a Pedal Box/Commander….
@@davidwells997 awesome!!!
Which seat RTL vs S2S would you prefer for touring?
Clip-on microphone ? Good Audio makes for good Video.
Thanks for the feedback.
I like this Can Am motorcykle😊👍💪👏
