Thank you Oakridge Boys for the decades of songs and thank you Richard Sterban for being my inspiration for bass singing… and I am grateful for you and I am doing songs in your tribute to your music
I have been listening to The Oak Ridge Boys since the 60's when we would go to the Gospel Singing's on Saturday night's and see them and many other Gospel groups but they were my favorite group, hands down! Then they went to country and I followed them then. I am so sad about Joe Bonsall's passing away. I pray for all his family in this hard time. God needed Joe in his choir in Heaven. Rest in Peace, Joe!
There was nobody like Joe! I got to see the Oaks many times in concert. 95% of the time I was watching him. His connection with the audience was perfect. His personality kept him hopping and moving around all the time. That tenor was what I always loved to hear. I’ve still got all my vinyls. And my Oaks collection is extensive. Whenever I sing along on the songs, it’s the tenor part I sing. R.I.P. Joe❤️ Thank you for all the joy you gave us, I know the choir up there has your place ready to join to sing God’s praises for eternity. I’m glad you aren’t in pain anymore. But you’ll be sorely missed, and greatly mourned. 💔😢🎶
Man I would just literally wear their tapes out as a kid. Loved every song. I love traditional country, but there is something about that brass and sax in the background.

The song came out in 83, but I don’t know when this show was broadcast. I know because my baby was born shortly after its release. Hubby and I laughed about the coincidence.

I always expect the one with the big ol' long beard to be the one with the really deep voice.
Nope, there's nobody else like Wm. Lee Golden.

Real country music. Not this hip hop country crap
anyone know when this performance was? It says Carson, so it had to be late 80's? William Lee aged a LOT in 10 years if so.
@@brianmoon1058 guessing March 1983.
@@LowBase But at the beginning Carson says they're "opening" the MGM Grand. The MGM Grand opened in 1993.
