Clapton finds every spot for his lead tones, Frampton gets the spirit and soul of the song deep into our hearts. I remember George Harrison also, great guy. Man , these were the times of our lives....
@C L Yes, there was. Crossroads Guitar Festival 19 DVD will be available December 20, i can't wait for this. I wonder too and I want to see him playing with Keith, Mark, Paul, Beck, Page, Gibbons etc. This is the time that kind a stuff I think
MY daughter and I held each other and wept ourselves. The entire audience was completely transfixed. Definitely one of the most memorable parts of the festival.
just want to thank you for taking the time to listen to my songs. It means so much to me that you care enough to share in something so close to my heart. Knowing you’re there, truly listening, inspires me to keep creating. Where are you from?
When Frampton Comes Alive came out like everyone I really loved it but it wasn’t until decades later when I started studying music theory and playing guitar that I recognized what an unbelievably great guitarist Peter Frampton is. His music is breathtaking. I’ve seen Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana, Mick Taylor, Tommy Emmanuel and other greats but I would have traded any of those concerts to have seen Peter Frampton perform this.

Ok people!! Mr Eric Clapton is showing his care for another person and musician here! Peter should not be able to do this at all and he is totally awesome! Bringing a tear to Eric's eye... don't you get it? Peter will soon have no control whatsoever over his muscles....here are two awesome caring courageous men! Thank you
Meu grande Peter Frampton,, é perfeitamente genuíno, à harmonia que exige na almas dele alimenta, multidões, que, estão encantados com sua naturalidade. Amo ❤️ Peter Frampton.
Remember -- EC did the original solo on George's studio version . The Beatles didn't want to cut that song .. So George showed up with Eric and did it anyway

Duel of Gods... the closest thing I've seen to the movie Crossroad where "Lightning Boy" Martone (Ralph Macchio) duels with the devil incarnated in Steve Vai.
If you haven’t checked out Guitar gently weeps off Frampton Alive, do yourself a favour. Frampton was an artist in the zone on the Alive recordings. Eric is as slick as ever, old slow hand making it look easy.I reckon Eric really helps Peter get cracking late in the song.Pretty awesome for a couple of plus seventy dudes.
At 1:13, "With every mistake" was ironically a mistake. It should've been "I look at the floor". Peter's a living legend though, so he''s allowed to flub.

I wrote a song called If I were a fender would you play me, as I am a fender girl, but this video is 1 of the very few times that I would have settled on being a Gibson? Common and feel like I do

Clapton thinking.....Hey Frampton, that’s nice but less is more- make each play count not just play a zillion notes. Thank you George Harrison for a great song.
The cadence is too slow, I think George Would have said that...But he still would have enjoyed it. BTW it's a shame Eric and Peter never ever collaborated on an album. Maybe Eric would have been insecure about it.
Insecure? About Frampton? Eric runs rings around Peter and Peter would be the first to say so. Not saying Peter isn't great, but he's a rung or two below Clapton.
@@timjoseph887 Doesn't matter what he is, he would run circles around Peter. Plus, Clapton IS a rocker. Go back and listen to Cream...then listen to The Core. Rocker or bluesman is an artificial line, the point is guitar player, genre isn't involved.
Il y a des années que je vous écoute, vous êtes un virtuose, vous êtes dans le groupe des meilleurs à mon avis.
Merciiii

Non c'è assolutamente niente da dire. Grande canzone e grandissime emozioni. 🖐🖐
Love the way eric sits back and lets pete do his thing , been studying eric for 30 odd years and he never tries to upstage anyone
Bad thing about Eric was during the pandemic. Being able to play the guitar does not make you an expert on vaccines. Very foolish his comments.
I am so thrilled that Peter is finally being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Certainly a long overdue event.
Such a humble man Eric Clapton is.
@C L I heard too but he is still playing, never take a break

@C L I am just a big fan nothing much :)
@C L I don't think comments allow that. I have never watch him live and I don't think I gonna watch him live :(
@Vicente Humberto Villaseñor you are one of these luckiest person on the earth

I was there and I agree.
2 living legends! a breath for the soul
Eric Clapton and Peter Frampton two of my favorites.. while my guitar gently weeps... one great favorite as well ♥️♥️

I love the colour that Frampton puts into his solos
Soul and solos. Beautiful. 🎶💙🎶💙🎶
Peter played all around it! The master
What a view seeing frampton and clapton in a hug!
Two grand masters showing the world how it's done. That you to both, Eric and Peter for the decades of great music!

Makes you think how awesome it was that these two were technically session guitarists for George Harrison on All things must pass
Only one of them stole his bird though
Peter had been around that long?
Fuck man Peter Frampton kicked ass.....totally! Rock and Roll Peter Frampton
Music brings people of every stripe together. Great for mankind.

SO EXCELLENT !! 😊
Wow, awesome solos
Explendido, estupendo, glorioso, magnífico. Simples assim 😉

Smells like 😊
Boa noite ❤
Peter such a humble (pie)man
May I have a slice or 10?
Duel of Gods... the closest thing I've seen to the movie Crossroad where "Lightning Boy" Martone (Ralph Macchio) duels with the devil incarnated in Steve Vai.
recordando a george !!!1
💙
i woudnt expect to see these guys toghuether
they've been friends for 50 plus years. where's Jeff ?

Read Frampton’s book on pages 323-324 about this song. At 6:50, he also falls but his guitar tech saves him. He talks about it in his book.
Came here as I'm on page 323. Looks like he was going to back into an amplifier. Good save by the tech for sure.
I know I cried
Bill Murray came out after this song and said it was epic... and there's only one guy in the world that could follow it... and out comes Jeff Beck!
Si hubiera sido por Frampton ..Se
hubieran tirado improvisando dos horas...De todas formas está tocando con ...para mí ...EL MEJOR 🌈💥🎸💥🎸🎼
At 1:13, "With every mistake" was ironically a mistake. It should've been "I look at the floor". Peter's a living legend though, so he''s allowed to flub.
@C L He is a legend for people who understand somthg abt music ...
@C L to write articles in Rolling Stones or Guitar magazine is not a proof that u understand sonthg in music....
👍🔥🎸🦅
Peter é bom... Mas... Eric é tudoooo
The bassist stole the show!

How did this not get taken down when every video I try to post from this gets taken down??
he played the original also, session for the beatles, as the beatles couldn't play 😊
Is eric in good company or is peter !!!
Omg 50 years of the same song with the same old guitar licks. C'mon guys!!!
who are the others musicians?
Frampton's band
@@landriver1 awesome band !
Hold the camera still!!
Guitarra de de Eric
Well, Clapton's guitar sounds like twing-twang, while Frampton's Paula sings and cries 🍷
Clapton is best and Frampton could let him play the solos. Framptom is good , and Clapton is a humble God of the guitar
the git up
Both great players, but Clapton was outgunned with Frampton's Les Paul. Stat has too thin of a sound for this song.
I prefer the cleaner sound Clapton was using but I think it meshed well together
@@danpolseno9728 I like it as well, but he originally used Harrison's Les Paul ( that Clapton gave him earlier)
I wrote a song called If I were a fender would you play me, as I am a fender girl, but this video is 1 of the very few times that I would have settled on being a Gibson? Common and feel like I do
Clapton gratte beaucoup mieux techniquement, mais avec humilité il accorde le final à Peter, BRAVO

so impressive. this is as good as georges version.
Did George have a version
Better
i cry "peter pan"
I hope they have arrested the condition Peter has. It makes me weep to think someday he might not be able to play guitar any longer.
Eric has some arthritis going on.Ali couldn't box any more. Greats age too.
I just have to thank you, Steve, as it seems you and I are the only ones getting it!
Clapton thinking.....Hey Frampton, that’s nice but less is more- make each play count not just play a zillion notes. Thank you George Harrison for a great song.
wish i could hear Frampton.
2 tons are better than one

@@timjoseph887 Very familiar with Humble Pie and Frampton's Camel. Peter is a great guitarist. He's not, however, as good as Eric.
I don't know why nobody told 'em
Clapton got smoked
Clapton owned that and played much better technically but I think he just let Peter do his thing in the end lol
Imagine two excellent guitars players destroying a classic George Harrison Beatles song. Ego meets ego.
... se non fosse che i chitarristi sono due " scarsi ".😂😂😂
