I agree with your conclusion 100%. The ID cars are very comfortable, easy and quite no beebs and just in general a very good package. I don't care about all the negative reviews, I'm tell you as an ID3 owner its way better than most reviews make it sound.
Chris, thank you for everything you have endured, as one of the first to live with an ID3. Im very glad you are sticking with the VW IDs. I look forward to all your comments on the ID7. It is one of the 2 cars im considering in the future. The other is the ID Buzz. By the time i make my decision, im hoping the EV technology will further improve, with greater range and more efficient motors and 'whatnot'!
Bye Bye Walter, you were nice, even if you had some issues 👍 Chris, I hope the COVID is all better 🤒 Also: I appreciate the donut tracks in the drone shot 😂
It will be sad to see Walter go, Your and Walters journey convinced me that the ID.3 was the car for me. I hope the ID.7 brings you the things you were missing.
I've been following your channel since the middle of 2020 when you were testing the early ID.3, and because of you ordered our 1st Edition, named Kyyton, who was delivered in September 2020. We've been lucky, and never had the 12V problem and Android Auto always works. We did have the Infotainment system frezze a few times, and many air bag warning lights, but nothing serious. It must be difficult to say goodbye to Walter. Thank you.
Wow Chris you had id 3 as first have seen a lot of videos from pros &cons butt it’s overall a good car you are going to a id7 and I have also another EV Hyundai Ioniq 5 ,looking forward to your testing with it Greetings from the Netherlands and have a nice weekend 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪👍🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱
Hi Chris, it was great to follow your ID 3 adventures. Do you know if old ID3 (before facelift) will get ID software 3.5 or more recent in the future ? Thanks.
Chris I’ve followed your journey with the I.D.3 for 3 years now thanks for the updates, I loved the size of the car and had considered it as my next purchase but the software problems (still) have ruled this car out for me now along with the very dated interior design compared to more modern C sector cars plus slow charging times and no heat pump as standard considering it’s price gives an idea why it’s not selling well these days, a complete international overhaul with faster charging and a heat pump and infinitely better software I.e. google like Polestar is needed to kick start its relaunch otherwise I can see it fade away over the next few years, can’t wait to see your I.d. 7 reviews, Merry Xmas from U.K.
I think the 77 kWh ID3 has the good battery, but Cupra Born looked better inside and got a motor boost to get its zippyness on par with the lighter battery vehicle.
Bye Walter. You had an important role in convincing me not to buy an Id.3 Just hope VW has learned the lesson and your experience with the Id.7 will be better
Probably you have killed ECU by using that booster on 12V battery while it was connected to a car. I don't say it was the problem, but charging (or forcing to wake-up) dead battery WHILE it is connected to car is not a good idea due to higher voltage peaks that those boosters could create.
NOOOOO WALTER. we will never see him again. what will you do, how will you recover from losing him. could we have milage cost over the whole time. total cost for having it leasing cost, vs miles done. replacement items had to put on it. tyres etc... Has walter got any damage over the time. scratches, dents, how did the seats etc last. when you give it back, could you find it on the market and what price it sells for. we did this for my sisters car, so we know what is is selling for. I had my car to the dealer to get an MOT, I asked for any update since it had been over a year. and when i got back i asked and there was Nothing to update. Was there a buy option after the least time. offered. my sister can buy her Lease car after the time if she wants to. the car does not satisfy you any longer. hehehe like getting a new wife. younger and satisfys you more hehehehe.
For VW ID2, VW must continue to listen to customer advice: 1) New Display unit for front information display (not the ugly ID3 one). 2) e-up or stellantis type gear selector (not the ugly ID3 one). 3) Main dash screen like Stellantis Peugeot e208 or VW POLO type (not the ugly ID3 one).
3 years and you change the car. That is a huge impact on carbon footprint. Cars should be driven about 20 years until inspection tells that the amount of rust might compromise security.
The car will be sold to a new owner. they would be a chance to buy the car off the leasing company for a lower price than what they will sell it for. there is still year of use left in this car.
You and Bjorn were the reasons i got my id3. Despite its flaws, i love it.
Cant wait to see the future of the ID series through your ID7

It was really exciting to get this summary of your time with the car 👍 Thanks for enduring the cold 😃

We’re still enjoying our id.3. Enjoy every time I’m behind the wheel. So pleased we changed to a EV.

We VW customers hope that as soon as the ID 2 comes onto the market, the problems that occurred with the ID3 will not occur at all...
Hahahahahahaha.
Awesome just for the Corner Gas reference! Chili cheese dogs FTW! (yes I'm Canadian)

I will give back my ID.3 in 2 weeks too. But did not order anything from VW.
Some really good info there.
With your chats to VW do you have any idea when the ID3 GTX is likely to be released?
oh no RIP Walter... life will never be the same again.

Would it not be cool if your id.7 arrives on 30th of Jan and you have "the switch" then? Considering your license plate... :)
Walter, I'll miss you.
Those gloves makes me rewind a couple times. 😅
Bye Walter, we will miss you.
Mister ID3 soon to be Mister ID7😊
Bye Walter. You had an important role in convincing me not to buy an Id.3

Why did you stay with VW? Given your experience with the ID.3? 18:20 Not afraid of the the same story all over again?
Did you loose your hands in this coldness?
😭
Already a name for the ID7?

Quick question: How much money did you spared in one year?
Money saved? Compared to what?
@@BatteryLife well you know when if you own a normal car, you have to change oil, filters etc. Compared to this.
Bye bye Walter 😊
Lol the most comments here are from bots talking to each other 😎
I always report them (the all thread). YT should do a better job at getting rid of them

Hell no.
@@Jonathan_104 ID3 owner driver?
Then buy a Stellantis model and let us have the typical VW feeling as it is for those of us who are satisfied with it.
@@pascaldeprez4040 VW ID3 is ugly and expensive !!!
@@lucianodibernardo1546 Then you are lost. If you want, we can guide you back to the Tesla forum.
The app is still unacceptably crap. VW should be ashamed of such a toytown offering.
When the app is unacceptably crap, what is the navigation system then?
3 years and you change the car.

Car does not care who the current driver is. You think it goes to the scrapyard or what?
