Atttack decay is still here, its just ofuscated like it is in smash, they only removed the UI yelling at you
That isn’t attack decay that shit does not help at all when they made it easier to get kills anyway don’t know why they changed it game just dying day by day
The monitisation is only good if you grinded a lot in the beta for new comers it’s atrocious especially with the character unlocks you get exactly 1 character to play with and it can take a lot of time to unlock everything even more when new characters drop and they will definitely be on the joker tier instead if the beta teir of pricing
Look at the 20 dollar joker with jason mask pack and tell me again that the monetization is good

@@CAsnowman it’s by definition a monetization practice to sell cosmetics. It’s by far the most popular monetization scheme, so I don’t know what you mean.

Could be wrong but I believe attack decay is still present in the game, just that the visuals isn't there. Could be that it doesn't reduce stun too but I could be wrong

@@gabcard2767 functionally, it is. for example you can hit multiple stripe sairs to kill much more effectively. i get your point though, haven’t researched but it would make sense if that were the case.
This is correct if you repeatedly use the same move it will gradually do less damage and knock back

I'm gonna say it: This game aint lasting for 5 months let alone years.

4:43 Not to be contrarian, this is genuinely the biggest issue I'm experiencing with the game right now. On an original xbox one, it's currently near impossible to play modes with more than 2 players because of "connection failed". After perks are revealed, during loading, the game temporarily freezes for 15~ seconds on "waiting for players" and seemingly times out. At which point you get a "connection failed" and the game exits the match automatically. Ever since patch 1.02 dropped I have only been able to successfully connect to a match with more than 2 players ONCE. Unfortunately it was a custom game with one friend on xbox series x or ps5 and my other friend who is also on a basic xbox one...
Naturally, my other friend on the basic xbox one got a connection failed before the game could even start. So my only successful connection to a 3+ player game since the patch was a match where a fellow original xbox user failed to connect?
I want to like this game but they're making it really hard to right now.
The biggest thing missing to me is an elimination mode

Honestly really love how this game plays and the game at its core. But the monetization is the only rough part. What isn’t bad tho is a lot of the stuff can be earned eventually through grinding which I know a lot of people aren’t into. The actual fighting tho is awesome

I messed up and logged in one day to late so o didn’t get the battlepass for free. I didn’t know there was a time limit on that so that was just super lame lol

hey, just a quick note. this is a video essay, aka, its an essay. you never want to say "in this essay" "that's what we will talk about in this essay", past that, solid vid, good points made across the board
the weekly challenges need to be changed. I get having to use a type of character like mage or tank ect but to be putting specific characters is mental. Even characters from a franchise is unreasonable especially when they get put as time limited try outs AFTER the challenges change. It's like they're taking every opportunity to spit into peoples faces with the monetization, its more predatory than genshin considering what goes off in the store as well... I also have beta "royalties" which gave me a couple characters and the battlepass yes, but does that really matter when 4 of the weekly challenges are "Hit jokers bazooka 7 times" aint nobody finishing that battlepass at this rate😂😂

Great vid. Multiversus has gotten a bit better monetization wise which I am happy changed. Characters are easier to get and I prefer the character token system over the coins system. Getting the battle pass free as a prior player was nice as well. The game is still a bit grindy though despite the good changes which sucks. Hope the game gets better with time. Jason is a really fun character to play as.
Its wild to me that apex legends has a better battle pass system considering they have cosmetics worth $160-$300+.

It's both funny and sad how the only reason this game was "better" than Nick All-star Brawl was the fact it had voice lines and costumes, and the latter wasn't even done correctly. These "Smash Killers" are really just attempts to bank of Smash's popularity. At least Rivals and Fraymakers are fun and polished.

It's still a mess after 2 updates lol. They went backwards with this game now they going through an unnecessary need to complicate it further. Hope this game doesn't die the second time. Beta was million times better then the actually release, as the UI is so washed out and playing the game has a rough input delay, also as well the issue with network. They literally ruined such a wonderful game.
Imagine reading you can unlock a character for free, but then you realize, you’re gonna have to drop money. Is a lie. There is no such thing as free. And that alone, shows how this game is a cash grab now.

4:06 - THE HECK VERSION OF THIS WERE *YOU* PLAYING?! Speaking as someone that's played this in Xbox One, I've had PLENTY of crashes and freezes that occurred while playing this game. Some of them occurred while playing that Rifts Mode and one time it happened while I wag on the CHARGER SELECT MENU! Between all that and it disconnecting me and from matches as soon as the start of some of them and freezing just as the match ended, you're outta your BLOODY mind if you think the netcode here is better than what was in the Beta and Alpha.
And this isn't just me saying this; LOADS of players have been having these exact issues on both Xbox One and its successor and the same could be said for PC players too. Christ, and I thought IGN was spouting some straight up BS regarding that here.🤦🏾♂️
The Xbox version is a hot mess.
PC is fine from my experience.

Eh I think the Battle Pass characters is fine cause you get enough for the next one in it
You can be fully free to play on this game and still just PLAY the game

You don't have to do loops to play the Joker. And they didn't remove them either you just can't use side attacks again after dodging without a delay. You can use any other attack. You can still get down air down special off of jab 1. I think you just never knew how to ACTUALLY play the character without loops.
