More just embarrassing for the driver. The blind person was walking down the sidewalk - the reason they bumped into that person's car, was because the driver thought they could stop on a sidewalk to pull out. You're not supposed to block sidewalks/crosswalks and it's actually super easy to avoid doing so.
Also, if you're paying attention, even having intentionally pulled over a pedestrian area to get a view, you are hopefully still looking both ways, so you should see them and back up. I mean, they're blind. They had time, but just kinda sat there... and let it happen.
IDK, I'd be embarrassed if I was the driver. Narrator said "I'd never drive again if this happened to me." Because honestly... if it does, you're not a great driver lol. The car isn't even moving and they are oblivious to their surroundings.
@@differentbutsimilar7893 Meh, it's very common and pretty much ubiquitous to pull into the sidewalk area to get a better look at the traffic. I don't feel embarrased for this person and I wouldn't feel embarrassed if this happened to me.
@@differentbutsimilar7893 It's not always possible not to stop for a moment on the sidewalk. Sometimes you have no view of oncoming traffic without pulling up and stopping there for a moment to check.
@@pvanukoff I don't know what to tell you. They actually got snuck up on by a blind person. That's pretty funny to me. I dunno how you let someone moving that slowly bump you, how you didn't see them while pulling up to the sidewalk... again, how little attention dyou have to pay for that to happen? In over 15 years of driving millions of miles, I've never had anything remotely like that happen to me.
And I will say, it is common to do, but again if you're actually looking both ways like you should be when there is a sidewalk, pedestrians on the sidewalk won't be impeded by you. You won't pull up until they pass, because you're actually watching for them, like you ought to when passing over a sidewalk. Though it's better to just not do it, cause someone could always pull up behind you and block you from reversing if you get stuck sitting and someone comes along THEN. I know that people do it, but it's not always the smartest move. You still have to pay attention and think ahead. That's just 101 to me. They wouldn't have gotten bumped by a blind lady if they just looked to see her and let her pass. And then on top, they had plenty of time to see them and react after. But they weren't looking. That's not good driving! I'm sorry. I don't know anywhere in the US where the law lets you not yeild to pedestrians on sidewalks and crosswalks. You're always supposed to be ready to do that. Honestly, 90% of the time you pull up on a sidewalk or crosswalk and block a pedestrian, they were already close to you and you didn't look to see them. And that is on you as a driver. I have been on the pedestrian side of that dozens of times. People will just surge out in front, see you, and then go "OOPS!" That's something you're supposed to know to be able to drive. The majority of people driving ignorant of pedestrians is no excuse in my book. It's just that much bigger of a problem.
Lets be real about it, I understand the visibility thing. I will nose out for certain intersections where I live because fencing and foliage make impossible to see otherwise, and they are high-traffic intersections inexplicably lacking actual signals. So I get that. I also get that the majority of times people do it, they don't actually need to. The majority of people I see doing it, are turning onto a flat stroad with no obstruction. They do it out of habit, and then they sit there for 45 seconds plus. You can't sit here and tell me there's a practical reason for that, not when you can see 1000+ feet both ways from the parking lot itself. And that again comes regardless of the fact that you still have to actually make sure the sidewalk is clear whether fully turning out or pulling onto it. Not doing that is how you knock grandpa off his scooter and into traffic.
I mean, we can't see to the right, but to the left there is no obstruction, it's a big, wide turn towards them. So if they are turning right, they have MORE than enough time to turn with cars coming in just outside of where they can see, let alone visible range where there is STILL time to turn. When it comes to turning left, the laws vary on doing that over double yellow, but usually you are supposed to go slow and keep as far left as possible. Directly on the leftbound lane is a left turn lane. You would aim for that, where anyone entering is already reducing speed, giving you time to take it at a safe speed. And yeah, you yield to through traffic in the other lane, pop yer signal and move into the through lane when it's clear. And USUALLY, doing stuff like that doesn't require seeing great distances back. Most places that have you turning over double yellow are set up with single or sometimes dual-direction turn lanes that double as a buffer for people turning out. It's rare that those types of intersections make you immediately join with full speed traffic after crossing oncoming, unless it is a slow road.
I get that there are times when these explanations fly. I just don't think this is one of them. It really depends on what's to the right that we can't see. We can't see which way they're turning, or if they're even using a turn signal. I don't think, by the rest of what we can see, that there would be anything that would stop the driver from doing as I described for a left turn, without pulling all the way into and in fact fully over the sidewalk and partially into the road.
I will ALSO say... read the decals on the back of the car...

You could use a muddler stick to guide the stream. It's all about the surface tension of the liquid. The liquid flows backwards, because it's hugging the lip of the shot glass, give it something else to hug.
Place a muddler directly above the ice cream, touching the lip of the shot glass. Make sure the muddler is pointing straight down, not at an angle. The liquid should now flow down the muddler on to the ice cream.
If this is too complicated, try to pour all at once, not trickle gradually. Pour at a steeper angle.

The blind guy crashing into the passenger car door has happened to me twice, several years apart, BUT same blind guy and same intersection and same friend in the passenger seat. I don't remember my friends response the first time it happened, but the second time it happened, about 2 seconds before the blind guy crashed into my passenger side door again, he just put his head down into his hands and said, "you are such an asshole." It's from unethical breeding of dogs where they just breed two dogs without checking It's genetics to see if it has a predisposition to certain health issues being prominent in pups. This dog is struggling severely just to breathe and should be taken to a vet to have it fixed through surgery as it is extremely uncomfortable and badly effects the life of the pug greatly.

That car that pulled out in front of the blind lady is definitely at fault. Pedestrians ALWAYS have the right-of-way. If you are driving you are supposed to check for pedestrians before pulling in front of the sidewalk, not the blind lady’s fault at all, even if she wasn’t blind it still wouldn’t be her fault

@@complex2live literally yes. Due to the head being squished in like that pugs essentially are suffocating every second of their life as the airpipe pretty much is too narrow for proper breathing.
And people think the noises they make are funny, when in actuality every breath is a struggle for pugs.
This probably is comparable to a 24/7 asthma attack, just that it can never be relieved without major surgery.
