I clicked the link in the description to see because I was curious, turns out a stranger knocked on his door and pepper sprayed him when he opened it. The cop is there presumably because the civilian called him to report the incident.

The dog likely saw a squirrel or rabbit or something small running just off camera, and since it's dark out, the dog tunnel visioned in on the animal and just ignored the pot.
Or better yet, the dog thought that the pot WAS another animal (likely a slightly bigger dog) and got defensive, then realized he messed up right on impact lmao!

2:30 - Garbage trucks catching on fire is actually surprisingly common. So many people toss out old lithium-ion batteries, not realizing that the second they get pierced, they burst into flame. Just takes one person tossing their phone in the trash after breaking the screen and you have a truck on fire. The best part is that they have a standard procedure for dealing with it that involves basically just dumping the flaming contents of the truck on the road.
Why do the trucks dump it out onto the road? Does that prevent pressure building in a closed space and subsequent explosion?

In the Netherlands packages are not left at the door. If the recipient isnt home, the packages get sent to a nearby pickup location wich is usually a local store. Or a special automated locker that has camera surveilance. You need a QR code sent to you by email to collect it. Or show your ID to the clerk. As a result, porch pirates dont exist here.
You can also just choose to have it sent there directly. I usually do this and have my packages sent to a shop I pass on my way home from work. Free of charge and it makes the couriers job easier as they can just drop a truckload of packages off at once.
It's reasonable if there is a store in a 1 mile radius... Not US.
or they're given to the neighbors and a note is left for you, that's also pretty common in my neighborhood
Except for, of course, the time some DHL delivery person decided it would be a good idea to set a cardboard box with over 200 euros worth of electronics (secondhand ps4 + controller and all the necessary cables) on the stoop in front of the front door and not wait to check if someone was actually home :) Yes I am still salty that that box was there for a total of over _six_ hours before anyone got home. Thank god I live in a safe neighborhood
I'm from Germany and we have the same system. It's baffling how bad it is in America. No wonder people are stealing packages left and right when they are just thrown on your porch
I'm in US. I have all of my Amazon packages sent to a nearby Amazon locker so they don't sit on my doorstep while I'm away. You can also have FedEx packages redirected to a store like Walgreens. And UPS packages can be redirected to a UPS store.

2:23 this is why you don't put large batteries in the trash, like car batteries. The pressure from the trash compacter can cause them to combust.
I have a friend who used to work that job, he threw a cigarette butt out the window and it landed in the trash compactor causing the whole thing to ignite. Needless to say that was his last day on the job
Li-Ion does not react well for impacts or bending/crushing, and you'll find those in any smart phone or tablet nowadays. Throwing one into the trash where it gets to the trash compactor makes it literally burst into flames, igniting the trash around it.
I had a job at an recycling center where I had to take smart phones and tablets apart, and especially Apple's tablets were a real pain because they use so strong adhesive to glue the battery into the aluminum it's almost impossible to separate them, without bending the battery. All you need is just a noticeable bend, I mean less than 30 degree angle and it'll start to warm really fast and you smell the chemicals. I didn't work there for longer than maybe six months partly because of that.
electric cigarettes have also been a problem because of that :)
That, and because they contain toxic materials and should be recycled!

For those who are curious, the aqua-scooter at 2:48 is actually a kitesurfing board, a hydrofoil fin, and what looks to be a pair of scooter handlebars attached. However, I am unaware how it is being propelled without sail, kite, or engine to do so.
i think it's related to the person having to tip it forward to move, maybe it works like an oar?
Edit: They are called Foilboards! But this particular one is likely an E-foil.
We used to use these getting pulled behind a boat in the 1990's. They were called Air Chairs. There is a big wing under the water that acts like a fin.
But it's genius to design it so a rider can just pump back and forth for the same results!
He's pumping it. You could go for a few minutes like that, but it would be exhausting to say the least.
edit: what I mean by pumping is having the fin go up and down, basically like how a fish would propel itself. Usually you only do this to get you going such as when starting near the beach with low windspeed or when the wind dies down a little bit.

It's just called a foilboard or hydrofoil board. The handlebars just help with balance and prevent your legs from getting as tired from doing all the work.

And so when bears stand on two legs, their stride and upright behaviour is going to look a lot like ours.
