I hope it's okay to say I'm part of a Catholic Remnant. I will live in this Church, but not follow the bad things and thoughts . I'm 74 and live in assisted living. My temptation is to go nowhere! But to worship one has to go to a Priest.
I converted 30 years ago.I finally have some understanding of being Catholic.
Something started the end of the nineteenth century. Around 1958 a bad and wrong turn was taken. And I thank you for your analysis. It really helps me. I am stunned a Pope can do what Pope Francis is doing. All I can do about this is pray. And I pray you leaders do whatever it takes to correct the course we are traveling in.

What Catholic remnant? What did happen around 1958? I can't remember any bad and wrong turn. What in heaven are you stunned by Pope Francis?
I really hope you haven't fallen prey of the anti-Francis bad and wicked media!!! Those have distorted every single action and words of the Holy Father from the very first day he was elected to his Petrine office.
If you have never heard or read by yourself his speeches, encyclicals, exhortations, or homilies, catecheses on Wednesday's General Audiences and so on, I'd highly recommend you get familiar with them as soon as possible via the Vatican sites, News and Media. Most of these events can also be followed here on TH-cam, and on other selected trustful channels.
Remember Matthew 12: 25: *_"Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and no town or house divided against itself will stand."_*
      PAX CHRISTI 😇

I like the fact That The Bishop recommends, especially fathers and husbands to read the OLD CATHECHISMS to nourish their faith and for their families.
This is a direct pointer to the traditions of The Church before the reforms of Vatican 2. The Bishop can obviously see errors in cathechises after Vatican 2 either by modernist ideologies or by omission altogether.
I was cathechisein the 196060's before the introduction of reforms and when I tell people what The Church taught me they look at me like I'm completely mad. This shows me how far we have now gone from True Revelation, The Deposit of The Faith and what The Catholic Church always taught and believed in.

@@therealong One of the reasons I converted to Catholicism 30 years ago is that I was called a heretic! I was born Episcopalian. In 1963, in confirmation, I was taught we must reject Satan and all his works. By 1993, that church denied the existence of Satan, demons, and he;;. So when I said I believed all that exists, the Episcopal Priest said I was an heretic. He said I believed the Manichean Heresy. That is an offshoot of Zoroastrianism. They believe two equal forces are battling. I never thought of Satan as equal to God! Heaven forbid!
I realized there was one Church that had it right. So I went to talk with a Catholic Church.
For 43 years I was Episcopal.
For 30 years I have been Catholic. And I am so happy here! Problems exist, but Grace abounds!

I'm 65, and attended Catholic school from 1965-1969. Imo, the main defenders of Vatican II, and the N.O. do so because it's all they know, and are most likely too young to have experienced what Holy Mother Church was like before the changes. I would die a happy man if Bishop Schneider was our next Pope.

I agree! There is no human being that ever lived who fully understood GOD'S Revelation and Divine Will. We could live a million lives and not even scratch the Surface of GOD'S Divinity, Truth and Holy Will.
For this reason in our intellect and with the discernment of The Holy Spirit we must accept Truth with faith. It is not for us to question Truth or try to change it to suit ourselves. To question truth is a non acceptance of that very Truth. It has to be accepted unconditionally and as something that is unchangeable. This is what we call true faith!

I believe your statement is wrong . Arianism was the first heresy to be proclaimed and so was semi Arianism. The Catholic Church teaches that Our Lord Jesus Christ is Man and God . He was born lived and Died for our salvation. This os the Uniqueness of Our Lord. This is one of the claims the Jews made as they plotted to Kill him. That He proclaimed Himself God. This is the reason Saint Stephen and future martyrs Died. Our Lord of the same Glory as The Father and The Holy Spirit is Man.

Yes choosing is the problem because one tends to choose what keeps one comfy and able to justify the conscience. It is not a smorgasborg banquet! The banquet of Christ has guidelines and Truth to follow. Bishop Schneider would be a very good Pope! So would Cardinal Sarah and Cardinal Meuller. Remember what Jesus did to throw out the moneychangers in the Temple and what He said? "My Father's House is a House of Prayer!" We can't say that about the Vatican...when we visit the Vatican there should be such a depth of permeating purity & peace. We cannot say that exists at all but if it did, pilgrims would be flocking there in droves! Insread it is vulgar and dark full of deception. Come, Lord Jesus...

Bsp A Schneider. There is a Way now on how we could receive our LORD GOD by the hand. Truly you are correct and we thank you. ISAIAH received the ember coal that stands for the Messiah by the tongue given thru a tong by a Seraphim because he felt unworthy humbled to touch our Lord God. ISAIAH 6;6-7. For many years we cry within that no one can satisfy or appease our LORD JESUS CHRIST from sacrilege from receiving the Holy Eucharist by the hand. / But recently, LORD GOD Enlightened us. / Before Communion we pray: O Mary Conceived without sin pray for us who have recourse to Thee [meditate silently: Cover our hands Dear LADY with Thy Most Pure hand when we receive our LORD in the HOLY EUCHARIST]. Then, after Communion, we pray: "For the POPE and his intentions [1 Our FATHER and 1 Hail Mary]". / The prayer for the Pope and his intentions is a FULL INDULGENCE. / In my Parish, we pray it in the Petitions. With the Holy Rosary, we asked our Blsd LADY to bring any merits at the hour of our death. / But all in all, we are very satisfied that we now can appease our LORD JESUS CHRIST from opening HIS Wounds because of Sacrilege. May you please bless us all now Bshp Athanasius Schneider. You are our deciding factor if all are now all Right?

I’m sure that I would agree with the Bishop on the 130 heresies he mentions. I would also agree that the Latin Mass should be allowed to continue freely. BUT, I would probably be challenged by him if I added a 131st heresy. That heresy regards the indefectibility of the church. Jesus promised to be with the church always till the end if time. That has always been interpreted to mean that the church in its authentic teachings of the Magisterium cannot harm the souls of Catholics and cannot teach HERESY. It seems that this is challenged by the Bishop’s claims that the pope is teaching heresy. That would be a subjective opinion not in line with the church’s teaching over the years, or of the Word of God, and thus heretical. This is serious. It seems that the pope is being misunderstood and misquoted often and sadly.

    • @themanlycatholic
      @themanlycatholic  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Thank you for your comment and reply. The Church teaches and has always taught that the Church, guided by the Holy Spirit cannot define dogmas of the Church that is in essence against God's will. Papal infallibility also states that the Pope when he speaks ex cathedra is preserved from the possibility of error on doctrine "initially given to the apostolic Church and handed down in Scripture and tradition". That being said, many church leaders throughout the ages have had subjective opinions that are in fact heresies. The Pope can still be the Pope and actually teach heresy as long as he is not speaking ex cathedra. I am not saying Pope Francis is doing that but I am saying it is possible. Hope that clarifies things!
