My neighbor's Catholic school class was required to write a paragraph on the subject of his show as proof they watched it daily. His show had higher views than Milton Berle's show that aired at the same time.. He'd have made a wonderful pope.. in my very humble opinion. I’ve been a Catholic my whole entire life including catholic school for 8 years, however, I didn’t really understand it. I explored other faiths that I enjoyed because it was entertaining. Good music, good message etc… but noticed they were missing something. What happened to communion? The Holy Eucharistic? I decided to seek the truth. I delved into it, and eventually found real answers. My journey brought me back to Catholicism. My original faith. Now I thoroughly enjoy the mass and look forward to receiving the body and blood of Jesus Christ which is offered at every mass. I actually witness a miracle during the consecration. I urge those who feel lost or thirsting for the truth to seek and you shall find. I feel the Holy Spirit in me now and I have found true peace within my soul 🙏
Never tried other faiths but left the church to have fun and be selfish. When life became too much and I began to realize how much I needed God, I came home and went to confession in humility and now I go to confession ever week before the Holy Mass, say the rosary almost every night unless I fall asleep. And I've found the Magnificent Prayers of St Bridgett and have said them one whole year and starting my second year now. They honor every wound Christ recieved during His Most loving Passion.
I used to watch Fulton Sheen every Sunday on TV as a young girl growing up in Sydney Australia in the sixties. What a true blessing he was to the Catholic Church.
I am blessed to say that Abp Fulton Sheen and my father were close friends and that Blessed Sheen had promised to pray for every member of my father's family. He is our saint, besides my saintly father. Saints beget saints.
About 8 years ago I stumbled upon a Fr. Fulton Sheen throwback video on TH-cam. It sparked an interest in the Catholic faith. As a lifelong Protestant I was taught that Catholics are wrong and not Christians, yet This video pried open the door and God blessed me the grace to pursue more info. I can definitively say that I am Catholic in my heart tho not yet a member of the church although I do attend Mass at my local parish.
Oh, bless you! Catholic channels get so many posted comments from angry Protestants who have such wrong ideas about the Church. I often wonder how many of them got their religious education in childhood from Jack Chick comic books. They are deeply convinced and only God's Divine Grace will soften their hearts.

II was blessed growing up and listening to Fulton Sheen. Living in apartment in Queens NY. The men would gather, leaning on cars standing around discussing HIS show. These men were Jewish and Christians. He brought people together as well as teaching us the Faith. I watch on TH-cam his old shows. Thank you for this book.
My father rarely went to Church but he watched Bishop Sheen faithfully ever week and insisted we kids watch it too. As a small child, I wasn't too crazy about it but now appreciate the wisdom of it all.
Sister Mary Howard my first communion teacher (may she rip) taught us to say the Hail Mary and bow our heads when we say Jesus. I still do it everytime I hear his name.
I found Archbishop Futon Sheen on TH-cam 2 years ago. I have broken a relationship on the idolatries coming from the political left. I didn’t know that at first. I fond a book with his face on it in a dusty thrift shop in Olathe, Kansas. So, I knew he was trying to speak to me after I found that book. I’ve bought 2 of his books since. The book of communism is so powerful I can only take the book in increments because how powerful his explanations are. That is when I knew that we all have been fooled. Thank you, and I love that you’re giving memorial to this man. I think he should be nominated as saint that fights objective philosophers.

My earliest memories are those of me and my mom watching St Archbishop Sheen on our tiny black and white TV. As a 60+ adult, I can only now appreciate the Catholic wisdom and wit of this contemporary saint. And I emphasize that he should already be a saint.

I wish more parishes offered daily adoration. When I first came into the church seven years ago, I went to adoration four days a week for an hour for several years. When Covid hit and when I moved, that stopped. Churches really should emphasize its importance more.
We need more perpetual adoration chapels with the blessed sacrament available 24 hours of the day. My diocese has two of them and it's truly a blessing
I wish the same. I was at the Jersey shore this summer and attended St. Frances Cabrini church for daily mass. They had rosary , then Holy Mass, then Adoration every day. I was in tears and so amazed . The mass was well attended, shoulder to shoulder people. I live in the city of Philadelphia and right after mass our churches can't wait until after mass is over to shut the doors 😢

When he described the signs of the demonic I was reminded of the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics a couple of weeks ago: celebrating nudity/sexual perversion, celebrating violence on multiple occasions, and a scattered identity. Very interesting. I am fully convinced it was a pagan ceremony of some kind especially after seeing this.
Dear Father Dave Tomaszycki! 🙏🏻 I met him the day he returned to the parish where he had served as a seminarian intern, returned to celebrate Mass as a newly ordained priest. I was living elsewhere when he served as a seminarian, so I hadn't got to meet him then. But I had just moved back into the Port Huron parish of my childhood when he came to celebrate that Mass. I don't recall if it was his first Mass as a newly ordained priest -- the Archbishop gives the newly ordained the choice of where to celebrate their first through however many Masses before they are sent to their new parish assignments. I think it's 2 or 3 Masses, one each at the parishes that helped to form them into the priestly life. Anyway, Father Tomaszycki struck me particularly as strong against the devil, carrying the strength of Jesus with him wherever he went. I'm not the only one who noticed these feelings or this presence, so I'm not saying I was having a unique mystical experience. I received a blessing from him that day, my first time receiving a blessing from a newly ordained priest, so it was pretty special. I've been holding God to the promise of that blessing ever since, that is, I'm reminding myself that I am strengthened by the blessing of God through His servant, Father Tomaszycki, in a particular way. And I've been praying for Father ever since, especially that he stand firm in Christ through all onslaughts of the devil. He returned to our parish again that summer to fill in when the Pastor _In Solidum_ was on vacation, and that's the last time I've seen him. I did notice his name in the news, at least Catholic news, and am very pleased to see that he was appointed Priest Secretary to Archbishop Allen Vigneron. It's fitting that he is also serving on weekends at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, given the strength of Our Lady under this title in combating the devil. Father Dave is nothing special without Jesus, may God bless him for making himself a conduit for our Lord in this world. He's in my daily prayers, and I'm also stopping right now to pray 3 Hail Marys for his intentions 🌹🌹🌹🙏🏻✝️ and also for Dr. Scott Hahn and the St. Paul Institute 🌹🌹🌹🙏🏻✝️

Oh, Bishop Sheen had such a good sense of humor. I loved how he'd get down to his lesson and right in the middle of it all put that funny vibe into it. Scott Hahn is similar in that approach as are others. Yes, we must be serious about being good Catholic Christians, but we also must help bring about the Kingdom with a lightheartedness that expresses the joy associated with what's ahead. We are to hate the sin, live the sinner as God does, but we we need to go to a priest even if sins are venial, to gain grace and strength to avoid mortal sin. Exorcist Fr. Ripperger recently mends regular scheduled prayer, like the Angelus ay 6-12 -6 to draw folks who have been lax & mired in mortal sin back to God and spiritual safety, away from the devil’s lures.

I was initially terrified at his image on TV with that red flowing clothes. I then asked the good lord if there was anything he had to say worth listening to? I remember his lecture on power,control,money,greed,ego,arrogance,apathy and sex. How when twisted and turned inside and out the harm those eight states of existence or demands etc...cause with the perpetrator as well as those coming in contact with. I remember him also saying it's gonna get worse! That was late sixties early seventies.
I've read this book. It is an absolute must read if you wish to have a clearity about what is going on in this world, and within as well. We must be able to see how the demons operate and recognize the effect of their activities

For those who feel they dont have time and maybe if a mother has a child that kept her awake all night she will not feel like spending a half hour in prayer.. I missed daily mass when my children were going to school while been pregnant at the same time.I realised br offering my day to the Sacared heart Of Jesus my day could be a twenty four day of prayer.❤

Thank you for this book from the writing's by Venerable Fulton Sheen. For the father or anyone: Take your Rosary into your bed at night and you will NOT be attacked while you sleep. I do this and many exorcists have found that when they bring the Rosary into bed they are no longer attacked, usually through strangulation. So, you WILL be attacked one way or another for your book, but with your Rosary in bed with you - you will be safe. God Bless!!!
It's been a long time since listening to Scott and just as my experiences led me to try once again(successfully) to the Catholic Church while listening to his recording (their Gold in those mountains), things that I said on Russia News channel are identical to what he is saying about the devil, unfortunately, what I said speaks against the United States. But point is, I rejoice in Mr. Hahn's uniqueness in following Christ.

BP. Sheen was amazing! I'm a cradle catholic who strayed and am now back and totally follow the traditional mass. The latin mass is the answer to Everything! True catholicism will bring back the belief in the eucharist!!!
My brother-in-law who was a Southern Baptist faithfully watched Fulton Sheen on TV 💕every Sunday.
I wish more parishes offered daily adoration. When I first came into the church seven years ago, I went to adoration four days a week for an hour for several years. When Covid hit and when I moved, that stopped. Churches really should emphasize its importance more.
We need more perpetual adoration chapels with the blessed sacrament available 24 hours of the day. My diocese has two of them and it's truly a blessing
I wish the same. I was at the Jersey shore this summer and attended St. Frances Cabrini church for daily mass. They had rosary , then Holy Mass, then Adoration every day. I was in tears and so amazed . The mass was well attended, shoulder to shoulder people. I live in the city of Philadelphia and right after mass our churches can't wait until after mass is over to shut the doors 😢
I watched Archbishop Fulton Sheen growing up. I graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio on 1970. Wonderful what has been done since I left. Know Fr. Brian and Fr. Dennis very well. They are my Fraternity brothers...Bless you all...

When he described the signs of the demonic I was reminded of the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics a couple of weeks ago: celebrating nudity/sexual perversion, celebrating violence on multiple occasions, and a scattered identity. Very interesting. I am fully convinced it was a pagan ceremony of some kind especially after seeing this.
When I was young i plain couldnt understand it. As an adult I try and pray and pray.

Dear Father Dave Tomaszycki! 🙏🏻 I met him the day he returned to the parish where he had served as a seminarian intern, returned to celebrate Mass as a newly ordained priest. I was living elsewhere when he served as a seminarian, so I hadn't got to meet him then. But I had just moved back into the Port Huron parish of my childhood when he came to celebrate that Mass. I don't recall if it was his first Mass as a newly ordained priest -- the Archbishop gives the newly ordained the choice of where to celebrate their first through however many Masses before they are sent to their new parish assignments. I think it's 2 or 3 Masses, one each at the parishes that helped to form them into the priestly life. Anyway, Father Tomaszycki struck me particularly as strong against the devil, carrying the strength of Jesus with him wherever he went. I'm not the only one who noticed these feelings or this presence, so I'm not saying I was having a unique mystical experience. I received a blessing from him that day, my first time receiving a blessing from a newly ordained priest, so it was pretty special. I've been holding God to the promise of that blessing ever since, that is, I'm reminding myself that I am strengthened by the blessing of God through His servant, Father Tomaszycki, in a particular way. And I've been praying for Father ever since, especially that he stand firm in Christ through all onslaughts of the devil. He returned to our parish again that summer to fill in when the Pastor _In Solidum_ was on vacation, and that's the last time I've seen him. I did notice his name in the news, at least Catholic news, and am very pleased to see that he was appointed Priest Secretary to Archbishop Allen Vigneron. It's fitting that he is also serving on weekends at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, given the strength of Our Lady under this title in combating the devil. Father Dave is nothing special without Jesus, may God bless him for making himself a conduit for our Lord in this world. He's in my daily prayers, and I'm also stopping right now to pray 3 Hail Marys for his intentions 🌹🌹🌹🙏🏻✝️ and also for Dr. Scott Hahn and the St. Paul Institute 🌹🌹🌹🙏🏻✝️

Oh, Bishop Sheen had such a good sense of humor. I loved how he'd get down to his lesson and right in the middle of it all put that funny vibe into it. Scott Hahn is similar in that approach as are others. Yes, we must be serious about being good Catholic Christians, but we also must help bring about the Kingdom with a lightheartedness that expresses the joy associated with what's ahead. IMHO, that is what true fulfillment of the Kingdom is all about! Laughter and soaring high on Eagle's Wings! Oh the thought of it makes me love our God even more!! ❤😊

The devil will give you whatever you want, as long as he owns your soul eternity. This is why Mama Mary said to pray the rosary everyday, all 4 mysteries because it protects you from demonic ways.
He spoke about the 2 churchs living side by side, with the anti Church looking catholic on the outside, but worldly and devoid of supernatural faith on the inside.

Making the sign of the Cross when under attack by the demonic also works….it happened to me and I could hardly raise my hand to my forehead….it had a great force holding it down, but I forced it up to my head, made the sign of the Cross and I was left in peace. @@veev2561Confession is a gift and the priest is “in persona Christie,”, frequent confession helps keep us free the right pat. We are to hate the sin, live the sinner as God does, but we we need to go to a priest even if sins are venial, to gain grace and strength to avoid mortal sin. Exorcist Fr. Ripperger recently mends regular scheduled prayer, like the Angelus ay 6-12 -6 to draw folks who have been lax & mired in mortal sin back to God and spiritual safety, away from the devil’s lures.

As soon as Jesus rose from the dead and earned salvation for us, he brought his apostles a new gift. After speaking peace to them, he said, “As the Father has sent me, even so I send you” (John 20:21). Just as Jesus was sent by the Father to reconcile the world to God, Jesus sent the apostles to continue his mission.
Jesus then breathed on the apostles. This is a verse that is often passed over, but it has extraordinary significance because it is only the second time in all of Scripture where God breathes on anyone. The other instance was at the moment of creation, when God breathed his own life into the nostrils of Adam. This should tell us that something of great importance is taking place. Upon doing this, Jesus said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained” (John 20:22-23).
Notice that Jesus is not simply commissioning the apostles to preach about God’s forgiveness. He is not saying, “Go tell everyone that when God forgives men’s sins, they’re forgiven.” In using the second person plural you, Jesus is telling his apostles that by the power of the Holy Spirit he has given them the power to forgive and retain the sins of men. Having the power to forgive and to retain sins implies that the apostle knows what a person’s sins are, which in turn implies oral confession. Otherwise, how is the apostle to know what to retain or forgive?
In the same way that Jesus gave his apostles other supernatural powers (such as raising men from the dead), he gave them power to absolve sins (raising them from spiritual death). In Matthew 9, we read that Jesus forgave a paralytic and then healed him so “that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (Matt. 9:6)
After he exercised this power as a man, the crowds glorified God for having given “such authority to men” (Matt. 9:8, emphasis added). Notice that Matthew indicates this power to forgive sins had been given to men, and not simply to a man.
@@veev2561If you had been a true, authentic, core Catholic, you would have never become Protestant. I became Protestant and reverted to Catholicism as it is the True Faith, and Protestantism is just an imitator in 45,000 different flavors.

As much as I LOVE, absolutely LOVE Scott Hahn, as an interviewer with guests, Scott cannot help but dominate the conversation rather than allow the guest to speak so we can HEAR (James 1:19) what HE wants to share with us about the book HE wrote.

There is a documentary on the life of archbishop Fulton J. Sheen , 2010 Ignatius Press called "Servant of All". Also he did go to Australia (its in the doc..)
I was initially terrified at his image on TV with that red flowing clothes. I then asked the good lord if there was anything he had to say worth listening to? I remember his lecture on power,control,money,greed,ego,arrogance,apathy and sex. How when twisted and turned inside and out the harm those eight states of existence or demands etc...cause with the perpetrator as well as those coming in contact with. I remember him also saying it's gonna get worse! That was late sixties early seventies.
I've read this book. It is an absolute must read if you wish to have a clearity about what is going on in this world, and within as well. We must be able to see how the demons operate and recognize the effect of their activities
Ordering this book. Father Dave was an associate pastor at my former parish. He loves Bishop Fulton Sheen and we all were blessed as he shared his love for Bishop Fulton Sheen. Sounds like this is needed for our world today. Thank you Father Dave!
I heard him back in the late 60's at the University of Pacific in Stockton. He really impressed me. I was in my teens at the time.
For those who feel they dont have time and maybe if a mother has a child that kept her awake all night she will not feel like spending a half hour in prayer.. I missed daily mass when my children were going to school while been pregnant at the same time.I realised br offering my day to the Sacared heart Of Jesus my day could be a twenty four day of prayer.❤

Bishop Sheen sat in front of the Eucharist every day for guidance. He did from the time he was ordained. He said anyone that has important decisions, sit in front of the Eucharistic.

Thank you for this book from the writing's by Venerable Fulton Sheen. For the father or anyone: Take your Rosary into your bed at night and you will NOT be attacked while you sleep. I do this and many exorcists have found that when they bring the Rosary into bed they are no longer attacked, usually through strangulation. So, you WILL be attacked one way or another for your book, but with your Rosary in bed with you - you will be safe. God Bless!!!

The ones since, with a few exceptions, are more into it for the money.
It's been a long time since listening to Scott and just as my experiences led me to try once again(successfully) to the Catholic Church while listening to his recording (their Gold in those mountains), things that I said on Russia News channel are identical to what he is saying about the devil, unfortunately, what I said speaks against the United States. But point is, I rejoice in Mr. Hahn's uniqueness in following Christ.

Connecting all the dots of Salvation...I Love this interview/discussion, involving the writings of Bishop Sheen. He is a favorite of mine,since I was but a small child. To me with his purple cape, he was the Superman of The Trinity, with Jesus and Mary, with St. Joseph,as well, depicting their Fiats/roles in our Salvation/ Refuge... and Satan and the deception he truly is, that constantly tries to lead us astray, however, Holy Mary was given The Power; by God , Our FATHER, The Wisdom; by God The Son, and Love and Mercy; by God The Holy Spirit, to turn us around, with this Grace, to defeat the devil, and Lead us through the Narrow Gate, if individually, we so choose..that Line in the sand, where we Choose; Excellence/Christ over Evil/ Satan. Jesus does't put anyone into Hell, where you live, isolated...You put yourself in Hell...and Throughput eternity, you Hate Yourself, because of Your Choice
It's so great, though he has moved on, that future generations can see and hear this delightful individual convey his thoughts, learning humour , and life.
