Damn man.. This is one of the things I wish I had while I was an athlete, an university like that and a country that pushes collage level sports so much. Loved the intensity. Really got my heart going.
This is outright astounding. I’m trying to make something very similar for my High school T&F Team and this video puts me in awe. The shots are fantastic, the voice over is great, and everything feels personal. This really inspired me. I can’t wait to try it myself. Phenomenal video!
Phenomenal video man! You can tell it was personal, you put your heart & soul into this. Really well done. And yes, I'm binge watching your vids, haha. Keep it up! Great content and it's awesome to see your channel grow.
This, man. This is why I aspire to get better and better every day at this craft. I want to make things like this for my alma mater (both HS and UNI). I LOVE this type of video. Also I visited there.
And this is why you're the best dude! The pacing and flow of that was perfect! I can't wait for you to grow this channel huge and then I can say. 'Yeah I was there from the beginning' haha!
Love this video..the voice over was epic had the right man speak Haha...you came across when I was debating between c200 and eva1..I ended up getting the eva1 because I'm comfortable with Panasonic but man bro you push that c200 to perfection! Were are you located
@@DannyGevirtz True. I guess it's hard for me cause I don't have people who are willing to be filmed. And now it's more difficult with the world situation. I'll just have to stay reaching out to people. Thanks Danny! Look forward to more stuff!
Seriously looks. like it was sho on an ALEXA Mini or at least a Red Gemini. Super clean and perfect color. Hope you doo a breakdown for BTS. You're past due for a Patreon. What did you use to color and light the interviews? Any LUTS? Resolve? What about the color process? Did you have a crew?
Yoo man!!!! So happy you liked it so much! Haha honestl the C200 is very comparable to the mini. I love mine. I colored in Lumetri in premiere. lit the interviews with a aputure 120d for key and had a little rim behind the head. No luts really. No crew. Literally did everthing a lone for 4 days haha it was brutal lugging gear around.
@@DannyGevirtz I am definitely feeling more and more drawn back into Canon. Just got an EOS R and suprised at the image it can produce to pair with my RED and sony cameras that are recording to external monitors for ProRes. How have you found the C200 for low light? What ISO did you find yourself needing to live in for the night shots on the track...assuming you were rocking 2.8 aperture the whole time?
Great Video! Really enjoyed it. What lenses did you use? Mainly on the C200, did you use the sigma art 24-70 and the canon 70-200 f2.8? what do you think about the Image Stabilization and AF of both lenses? I am considering to buy the sigma art but I saw some footage with the canon 24-70 F4 IS being sharper and with better AF and IS... Glad to get some real life opinions. About the 70-200 I guess there's nothing to argue about. But I am considering to buy the F4 version since it's lighter. About the Ronin shots, I assume Ronin M with C200 and S with 1DX, these settings with the 24-70 or with a prime one? Thank you. Keep the good work. Very inspirational!
Thank you man! Yeah I love getting on the 70-200 every now and then. Definitely important not to mess up the athletes during performance too. But also love how clean compressed shots look. Not a huge fan of shooting below 40mm on pretty much anything other than wides.
This was soooo inspiring... it’d be great if you would bless us with BTS or breakdown type of contents just like your last video which is “producing music videos from start to finish” because that was one of the greatest quality content that I hardly come across !!! I hope you make that into a series:) Also I’d love to watch your color grading video. Your color grading is so beautiful and natural! I truly love your channel! Thank you soooo much for sharing your great creation.
Thanks so much for such an amazing comment! So glad to hear this! Maybe! Haha it was kinda just me running around with a camera for 4 days hahaha. I have a color grading tutorial on here somewhere already but i might need to make an updated one! Thanks again!!!!
Those headshot interviews on 2:13 , 2:21 and 2:34 were shot using the Sigma or the Tamron? they look simply OUTSTANDING. Loved to know your work, hope to see more content on your channel. Great Job!
fantastic video, Danny! the cuts, the movement, even the lack of focus in some shots; it all flowed so well and appears so deliberately put together. phenomenal job. if you ever need an extra hand on set hmu!
that was so beautiful!!!!! i wish i could see the RAW footage.. because the color grade that you did is sick any chance you can share how did you shoot it and how you color grade it ? THANK YOU
Wow you never cease to amaze me with the spectacular quality of your videos. A couple questions I hope you can answer. 1. What did you use for audio for the interviews? 2. Did you shoot handheld or use something like the Ronin 2?
Really nice work. You’re nailing top quality production value (especially without a crew). Only thing that cheapened it for me was the VO. Can’t work out if it’s the voice artist or the script or a bit of both but it’s the only thing that’s holding this back from top level ad agency work IMHO. Would you recommend the tamron 70-200 over the canon?
TORCHY thanks for watching! Appreciate the feedback. I think it’s a preference thing. It was for a the bucknell community and they loved it so I’m super happy with it! Nah the canon version is better.
i think maybe your best work yet. color is beautiful. would love to know more about your process with coloring c200 footage.. do you shoot clog3? do you use any basic luts to get to rec709, or do you do everything manually with curves? any creative luts? thanks man. voiceover talent is badass btw!
Thank you Mark!!! Means a ton to me! Michael Grant has an incredible voice! I shot this all raw, but converted to clog3 then just did everything from curves. I sparingly use creative luts at the end but not much. Appreciate the comment!
Nice work Danny! May I ask, did you use a ProMist filter for the interviews? They have a great look and I like the lighting a lot, plays well with the atmosphere of story and the stadium lights in the B-Roll.
This was UNREAL , subscribing to you right now! , like jeez Bruv you're crazy talented. What was the name of the song you used for the 2nd half of the video? Like when the interviews start
Also, I wonder how the talking heads were lit and negative filled and how were the backgrounds lit. Can't say it enough, you should be making 1m a year bro.
Hahahaha maybe one day. Just said in the last comment how i did the lighting for the heads. i actually didnt even bother with negative fill. I was so overhwlemed being a one man crew. I legit had them talking to a wall.
Thank you brotha!!! I shot like all the track stuff at 60 with an angle of 180. So naturally when I used that footage at 24 it still had the shutter of 120 as oppose to a normal 50. So yes to answer your question of shooting at a higher shutter. Actually was thinking of making a video on this.
@@DannyGevirtz Right on. I guess with sports, filming in 60fps can be a double win in that regard because I think the higher shutter on the real-time shots had more energy to them. NICE.
This is the best track hype video I have ever seen
Incredible man wow. I love the way you shoot interviews its very personal and the audio is insane.
Thank you Evan! Glad you liked it man. Yeah dude! I love giving some energy to interviews especially if its as fast paced as that.
Alright im gonna be honest! Im out of words to comment on your videos!! HOWWW tf does someone make a film like this?!!! Great job man

wow...this as a one man crew is amazing and very inspirational for people who don't have the options of film crew members. Kudos man
