      That was definitely 1 of the craziest things I've ever watched. I love the Olympic games and have watched the track and field events since the 88 games when I was a little 5y/o kid. Michael Johnson blew me away and I never thought I would see amy1 dominate like he did. Then bolt came along and absolutely ruined the games for me bcuz nobody will ever do what he did. Its literally almost physically impossible to run faster than he did. Such a beast!!

      I read the article back in the day which was tell if bolt did not slowing down in the last 30 mts, he could hit around 9,55 to 9,56 s.
      That could be Bolt best 100m.

Most World Cup Finals are terrible games. Crappy, defensive struggles. 2018 is the only exception in decades. From 1990-2014 they were all terrible games.

      His stride is too long. He has slower start but as long as he is right with you by 50m he going to win. He doesnt need to move his legs as fast and he still covers more ground quicker

      We can conclude that black people are
      (.55) seconds faster than other races. It may not be alot in the real world but in sports it does.

      Not really ... for example in which race could he have done so .... in his 2008 Olympic victory it wouldn't have took off over 0.1 of a second if he didn't celebrate

    There needs to be a study on how 99% of all Olympic 100m sprinters are Black, and then how a tiny country like Jamaica can produce so many of them. Genetics, diet, lifestyle, etc? Just incredible how a country with just 0.04% of the world's population can have up to 2-3 of its athletes among the 8 finalists in both men's and women's 100m sprints

      chaoticdays Blacks either have more fast twitch fibers, larger ratio of fast:slow fiber, or larger fast twitch fibers. As to Jamaicans, more about culture and weather. Warm weather allows more time spent running.

      In Jamaica track is very popular that's why they produce so many talents. In other countries track isn't that popular and there are many other sports which will bring you way more money if you're really good at them.

    Has there ever been a more electrifying sprinter than the magical Usain Bolt. Not a chance, he is the ultimate champion and the greatest ever, we are so fortunate that he has been part of our lifetime, and I cannot think of a more appropriate name, BOLT. It’s no wonder that he used the ⚡️ as his iconic pose. What a legend!

      Not really. He set world records in 2008 and 2009 after that he got slower each year.

      @@TheoOJamaloO1 Slower yeah but in a 100m a 1km/h average difference can give you around 0.33s difference so if he ran 9.88 instead of 9.58 that means that he ran in average at a speed 1km/h slower. So yes it is slower but it's not a huge difference in speed they are all insanely fast and Bolt's acceleration is the best that ever existed. And all the runners that are under 9.88 can be classified as peers of bolts as beasts when it comes to running !

      The 1996 100mtrs was the most tense and even changed the way the event was staged with its numerous false starts. It was an event scheduling nightmare...I never saw a final that each competitor so obviously wanted to win.

    When a race starts no one wants to keep their eyes off or even dare to blink. You just can't miss the few seconds of uncertainty. So the question now is, why is the description of why a race is exciting be placed just when the race starts. Very very distracting

    Amazing ...that most of the top sprinters in History are from Jamaica or born there...Ben Johnson , Linford Christie , Donovan Bailey , Asafa Powell , Yohan Blake and of Course Usain Bolt... and I know I’m missing a few

      Check out Arthur Wint and Herb McKinley from 1950"s, and Donald Quarrie and Lennox Miller from the 1970's.They were all Olympic gold or silver medalists long before those mentioned above. Jamaica has been at this for a long, long time.

    The problem I had with Bolt at the 2008 Olympic was that he slowed down towards the final 40 metres. If he had just maintained his speed he could have destroyed that Olympic /world record in the 9.4 seconds or better. Sadly we’ll never know .

    Have to admit,100m,200m,4x100m.....those events will never be the same without Bolt,ever since Beijing,you could not wait until the next big athletics event to see what this guy would produce,and now,with this pandemic going on,the olympics also somewhat have lost that magical feeling,i think the next time we will experience that feeling again is when his WR record come under fire by the next generation of sprinters....and something tells me the Jamaicans and Americans might just be hard working on it.....

    Athens 2004 was the most exciting 100m race in Olympic history. Bolts 100m olympics victories were with a huge gap without any chance of somebody beating him...not not interesting. 2004 final included MO Greene, Powell, Crawford, Gatlin, Obikwelu.... Pretty much equally fast sprinters in 2004.

    As amazing a moment it was when Bolt celebrated before he even finished I can't help but wish he stayed focused and didn't. Imagine what time he could of got - easily under the current record of 9.58. Imo.
