Adding oil to spaghetti water is a huge mistake. It's why you wind up with a puddle of water on your plate. You need to keep the starchiness of the pasta so the sauce will stick. This is something I learned fairly recently after over 40 years of making spaghetti at home. It's a game changer. Thought I'd share.
Looks yummy....I just discovered roasted bell pepper and man it's good .... comes in a jar packed in water good in anything specially omelets... can get it at Walmart next to the pickles
Made this tonight! It was yummy! 😋 Between us, when I told my hubby I made the sauce from scratch, he said he feels so special, because he’s used to eating it the cheap way (with the Ragu sauce) 😂😂
OMG! Lol! I'm weak at his comment! Thanks so much for trying it out and I'm glad that y'all enjoyed it! Someone asked me to do a chicken spaghetti! I can't wait to share that one too!
Some of you may remember that Wednesday was Prince spaghetti day! Remember the commercial? We kept that up in our family right up until our parents passed; traditions can be so comforting when we need comfort.
I’m not sure why I haven’t seen any of your videos until now, but I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL AND RECIPES ❤❤. I’m a southern girl, too !!! 😂😂Keep up the GREAT CONTENT!!
This recipe turned out good this was my first time making it and it was delicious thanks for this it better then I thought not like other spaghetti recipes❤
I tried this recipe. My family loved it. It had so much flavor. I wish I would have use the spaghetti recipe for your baked ziti that I followed from your recipe. I will never use jar spaghetti sauce again. This was absolutely delicious. Thank you!
I tried 3 other spaghetti recipes on TH-cam and my sauce still tasted bland. I saw your recipe pop up and remembered your amazing shrimp Alfredo recipe. I decided to try your spaghetti and it was delicious!!! I think I will just stick w/ you.
This is a great variation of a bolognese. I don't recommend substituting the beef for poultry, I've done it once and no! dramatically changes the base flavor and kills the texture. Also, don't drain out the fat from the beef!... that's a HUGE loss of flavor since the veggies and garlic cooked in it. If you're concerned about the excess grease, cook the beef separately from the veggies, drain out the beef fat, and then combined with veggies.
I hope your cast iron skillet is very well seasoned. Chao. Retired Vietnam era veteran, ex Detroiter, expatriate currently living in the Colombian Andes.
Hi Marie! Thank you so much for watching. I honestly think it was because I had already used oregano and thyme separately but I do use it frequently when making this if I don’t have them separate and it definitely won’t hurt to add it. If you’d like to, I’d do 1 Tsp of Italian seasonings in place or in addition to the thyme and oregano. But anywho, I appreciate your feedback and thank you for watching! 💕
I honestly like the taste of cold pressed Extra Virgin olive oil. The one that I used was of high quality and can be eaten and cooked with. I also picked up adding olive oil and balsamic vinegar to some of my completed pasta dishes when I went to Italy. It’s delicious to me!
@@ThatGirlCanCook_ Thank you so much for replying back and not ignoring me or being nasty with your response ,most cooks do..I must try that, thank you so much
Sure! Any cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. I would stay away from big brands like bertolli and pompe.. The ones that tend to be more expensive are the ones that are of better quality. Hope this helps. I used the yellow tail brand
Olive oil in the water and when you add the noodles in, try your best to separate them before they cook and stick together ! Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

I didn't add mayonnaise to the garlic bread mixture... I just put it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it up...
Yea ma'am
Goooood!!!!
Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! 😋❤️❤️👏
Thank you 😋
Looks yummy 😋
Question, why did you pour a little oil over your spaghetti and meat?

Hey Tamika! Hope that you enjoy the recipe!
Hey Kayla! I will enjoy it because everything you make is bussin!
Is there a secret to keeping the noodles from sticking to themselves especially after you drain them? Seems like most of mine stick together.
Olive oil in the water and when you add the noodles in, try your best to separate them before they cook and stick together ! Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
You did that sis kept it classic
Mmmmmmm!!!
Try using ground sirloin because it is less fat and you won’t have to drain excess fat.
What seasoned salt do you use please?
🤤 ❤
Needed this thanks
I’ll be making this for dinner
Hey Sirena hunny! I hope that you enjoyed the recipe! let me know how it went!

WERE THE OLIVEOIL
That looks more than 1 lb of ground beef.

Was thinking the same haha
