The best part, aside from fewer dishes, is the fact that the starch stays in the dish instead of the pasta water. The sauce will cling to the pasta better when cooked like this.

Yes! I failed to mention this. It really does taste better. 👍
Pinterest is a good place to find one pot meals as well. I found one similar to this. It was made with tomatoes, onions, spinach, mushrooms, and chicken broth. There were a couple more ingredients as well but those are what I remember. It was so delicious. Just remember that you're the star of your kitchen. Add and subtract to your preference. My go to is to follow a recipe the way it's written one time and then do what I want after that 😂 baking though you need to be pretty precise
Single black man and I've been eating out all the time and now that I'm cooking it feels very good and my food tastes good and I enjoy doing it and learning.
For the life of me I don’t understand WHY people feel they need to make negative comments, or give ‘tips’. Do your own thing. If you don’t like this recipe, move on to the next. If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say it at all. Everything I have ever tried has been delicious, and fun.
I have never heard of so many bitter and miserable people criticizing and tell someone how they should cook their food. If any of you had an ounce of intelligence you'd know people cook the way the like to cook. She shares her recipes with us and any of you who don't like it cook your own way and don't watch.
Angelica, my fellow Texan thank you so much for sharing! Looks delish and it def inspired me to try it. Cornbread and spaghetti was unknown & unheard of to me 15 minutes ago lol but I am always open to trying new things out. That's why I enjoy watching your vids, you inspire me! After watching this one, I made the mistake of reading others comments. I get we're all allowed to our own opinions, but Jeez! There's a difference between sharing an opposing opinion and just being snotty and downright rude. I get that if the combination is new to someone, it may seem odd but it doesn't mean it's wrong or even gross. I try to stay open minded, you never know when your going to discover a new fave. Anyway, keep up the great work and I look forward to next vid.
I am not sure why I'm watching this. I know how to make spaghetti several different ways. This is just so soothing to watch after a long day's work. Thank you.
I grew up eating spaghetti this way. I know a lot of people who do this, it’s so good 😊 A southern thing. It’s an ole school thing! Why all the hate? I was a 70’s kid. We ate what we had, and made good food, I still eat it today and my Boys do too! Thank You Mama for reviving an ole school style dinner. I’m Hungry 🤤
Omg!!! Lady I cook this spaghetti today after watching this video...girl it was easy delicious and one pot no mess. Only I cook it on my electric pan... Easy. Thank you
I just did this last night! But...I sautéed onion and celery, added burger, cooked then added a big can of crushed tomato instead of the store-bought stuff. That way I control the seasonings and salt content. Still turns out yummy!
My mom made her spaghetti this way and I've always cooked it this way as well. Now my daughters carry on the tradition. So glad there are others that make it this way too! I love it this way because the spaghetti noodles absorb the flavor of the sauce. My father in-law, who hated spaghetti, loved mine. I miss him dearly.
My Dad was our cook when I grew up. He fixed spaghetti with meat sauce all cooked together like you do and cornbread on the side. I’ve never seen anyone else serve cornbread with spaghetti. Brings back memories. (PS - no sugar in cornbread. 😉) Also, if you preheat the skillet, you will have a crispy crust.
2024 Living in New Zealand 🇳🇿 USA 🇺🇸 very much appreciated handy bolognase. Your spaghetti method is brilliant. Corn bread looked delishymo. It is indeed the quickest Italian meal method yet. Thank you for the look in 😊
I make cornbread in my skillet as well! Preheat your cast iron skillet prior to dumping batter and you’ll get a crispy edge on your cornbread. I’ve never had corn bread with spaghetti. I’d definitely try it though! I just wouldn’t add as much sugar. I don’t like mine super sweet.
Everyone's a critic. This looks like a delicious and easy meal, not everything has to be gourmet or cooked the "traditional" way, sometimes we just need some uncomplicated, low stress cooking that we can still Look forward to. I would be very happy with this meal and will probably try my own version of it. One pot dishes are the best!
I made this last night for my daughter’s birthday and it was really good. The noodles soaked up the flavor of the sauce and meat - amazing. I tweaked the spices to my family’s preference but still used everything she did. I also doubled the recipe and did more of a slow cooked version of it so the flavors infused with the noodles longer. It was perfect.
when I make these "one pan" meals, I use a really large pan with a lid and any time I put the pasta with the water in, I cover and let it simmer for about 7-12 minutes and it turns out great each time.
In all my years of making spaghetti, I have never thought to make it this way with adding the water into the sauce and then the pasta and cooking it all together. I have always cooked them separately and dirtied two pans. There have been times I have passed on making spaghetti because I didn't have a second pan available at that moment. This is genius! I am definitely going to try this method. Thank you so much for sharing!
I pretty much make spaghetti the same way. I do like taking out the meat once it's browned. Then use the grease to cook some chopped onion, garlic, and tomato paste. After that. Just toss everything back into the pot. Meat, tomato sauce, seasonings, and beef broth(optional). Water works perfectly fine. Keep stirring til it starts to simmer then add the pasta. And bam. Nice big pot of spaghetti.
Thanks for sharing this delicious looking meal. Never thought of having cornbread with spaghetti. I essentially do the same thing but in the instant pot. Cooking the spaghettini with the meat & sauce gives it so much flavor. I’ll never go back to boiling the pasta in water again.
I am going to try this tonight! Thanks for sharing this.....brilliant! Also, about pots.....i always strain my pasta in a colander and then that makes 3 large vessels to clean!
Hi A!!! I liked your quick recipe. I have never used Marinara Sauce or cooked my noodles like that. It would save alot of time with the noodles!!! I dont know about eating green beans with spaghetti!!!... YUMS!!!...Nice Video!!!...🦋
This is a new method to me , very interesting. As always looks yummy 😋 your family is blessed to have such a wonderful cook to make these lovely meals for them! Thank you for sharing your recipes with all of us 👍
i like how you always give tips for variations and that you always mention to adjust to personal taste. so lovely, it makes recipes feel more accessible/doable for me! thank you!
Looks delicious! I typically serve my pasta dishes with a side of green salad, green beans or zucchini. Easier for hubby to digest instead of just straight pasta. And I can eat cornbread anytime with anything.
Geez, some of these comments! First, how can you argue about something you obviously know NOTHING about? If you've never made/ate one pot spaghetti then your opinion is INVALID. Second, why do so many folks feel the need to post crappy comments when you have NO idea what you are even talking about. Just move on... Third, my kids are less picky than some of these "adults" on here. Maybe y'all need to make a New Year's Resolution to try something new daily or weekly or monthly - something!!! How will you ever discover new things to eat if you don't step outside of your comfort zone and try new stuff. One pot spaghetti DOES work. It IS good. It IS quicker. The water DOESN'T dilute the sauce - pasta absorbs it. By not draining pasta water you keep the starch in the pan which helps the sauce cling to each strand of pasta. The science is there to back it up. And I'd have y'all up in arms because I make casseroles with pasta all the time where I don't precook the pasta. I literally soak it in water for 30 minutes, drain, and then add it to my casserole and bake like normal. Turns out great AND nobody has ever complained about it. So no one can tell a difference in how it turns out. Even if something has always been done a certain way DOESN'T mean there isn't another way to do it that's easier, or less time consuming, or less messy... Learning to adapt makes life easier for you. Just sayin'...
Doing it this way brings back happy memories of lunch lady spaghetti days! Each strand gets infused with the yummy sauce. But I also love the pasta cooked separately for other reasons sometimes.
I'm going to have to try this recipe! I never thought of adding water to the sauce so the pasta can cook in the same pot! I've always hated having to dirty two pots when I make spaghetti. Thanks for posting this recipe!
Ciao, my father was originated from puglia in southern italy, and there is a one Pot Pasta recipe, which is famous Worldwide: Spaghetti all' assassina from Bari, so have a look for it.. many greetings from brunswick in germany and please stay safe 🙃
I admire the different take on traditional spagetti. My recommendation is to use either a large deep sauce pan or a much larger fry pan than you are using here.
That all looks delicious! I love cooking the noodles in the sauce. The sauce really flavors the noodles that way. I’ve hunted for self rising corn meal and haven’t had any luck.
The best part, aside from fewer dishes, is the fact that the starch stays in the dish instead of the pasta water. The sauce will cling to the pasta better when cooked like this.
Yes! I failed to mention this. It really does taste better. 👍
Makes sense!
Excellent point! ❤
And more flavor is absorbed into the actual pasta as well! 🙌🏾
So right! ✌🏼💜
Being a new stay at home dad, I needed this more than you know 😊 thank you

Exactly 💯🎯‼️
I’m a Texas gal and they would serve cornbread with spaghetti in the cafeteria for lunch in elementary school. ♥️ This recipe is delicious.
💯💯💯

I got lost on the sauce from the JAR. Its impossible for it to taste better with sauce from a jar.

I've never had green beans with my spaghetti but it beats making a salad....cornbread is good with ANYTHING!!!❤
I am not sure why I'm watching this. I know how to make spaghetti several different ways. This is just so soothing to watch after a long day's work. Thank you.

Eating a bowl right now of your shells, beef, and cheese…it is DELISH! Saturday I’ll be doing this spaghetti recipe. Thank you!!

2024 Living in New Zealand 🇳🇿 USA 🇺🇸 very much appreciated handy bolognase. Your spaghetti method

Cornbread goes with everything, but I'm from the south 😍

That looks so good. The corn bread is just so pretty. What a beautiful and colorful dinner. 😋😋
My grandmother cooked spaghetti like this for us when we were growing up with cornbread. Thank you for sharing!
I made this last night for my daughter’s birthday and it was really good. The noodles soaked up the flavor of the sauce and meat - amazing. Looks really Yummy!! I Love both Spaghetti, & Corn bread!! 😍💜💜

Corn bread looks amazing ❤
Aside from the recipe: I like your way of demonstrating, and you have a pleasant voice. Nice tempo too, not too slow!
Looks yummy, if you let the skillet get hot in the oven while it preheats, you will get a nice crispy crust on your cornbread.
That's the old school way of cooking spaghetti and I would sit with you and eat that meal , it looks so good :))
I pretty much make spaghetti the same way. I do like taking out the meat once it's browned. Then use the grease to cook some chopped onion, garlic, and tomato paste. After that. As a bachelor this is great!!! Thank you.
I had planned on spaghetti tomorrow and will DEF try this!! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks for sharing this delicious looking meal. Never thought of having cornbread with spaghetti. I essentially do the same thing but in the instant pot. Cooking the spaghettini with the meat & sauce gives it so much flavor. I’ll never go back to boiling the pasta in water again.
Spaghetti looked delicious❤❤❤
Cornbread and spaghetti and meat sauce sauce is food heaven 101😊
I keep my used jars for drinking beverages. It’s the best way to drink.

Happy late mother's Day hope you had a wonderful day

My mom used to make her spaghetti like this when I was growing up. Looks delicious!
That cornbread looks so fluffy and perfect!
It's 1 am and I'm watching this, made me crazy hungry 😂😂
I will definitely give this a try! I love your channel and how you cook for your family. Love your cookbook too! Thank you for sharing!
I love sweet cornbread ! And a completely different way to cook spaghetti. Looks delicious 😋
I tried this before and the pasta has so much flavor from cooking in the sauce.
We always had sweet cornbread when I was a child...loved it! My mother-in-law was from the south and never sweetened hers but that was good too.
OMG! That spaghettti looked amazing! It looks like it came out of a restaurant! I'd pay for it.
I'm absolutely going to make this. I use Mueller's Pot-Sized Spaghetti, which is already broken in half. I'm so clever.👍⬆😎
This looks simply delish and easy. I cannot wait to try. My mouth is watering 😋
I love that I can count on you to show me what I’m cooking for dinner❤
Looks delicious, going to have to try this, it's very convenient.
Im trying it tomorrow for dinner!! Excited
Looks delicious! I typically serve my pasta dishes with a side of green salad, green beans or zucchini. Easier for hubby to digest instead of just straight pasta. And I can eat cornbread anytime with anything.

This guy is angry.
The fact you took the amount of time to type all that out shows how lame you are….

I enjoyed your version. Looks fairly easy. I will definitely try it.🥰
Doing it this way brings back happy memories of lunch lady spaghetti days! Each strand gets infused with the yummy sauce. But I also love the pasta cooked separately for other reasons sometimes.
Everything looks delicious !
You are one of the best cooks❤. I love all your recipes even if I don’t make it I love watching YOU make it lol
Pls don’t stop ❤
Im going to give this a try! Sounds and looks great!
I'm going to have to try this recipe! I never thought of adding water to the sauce so the pasta can cook in the same pot! I've always hated having to dirty two pots when I make spaghetti. Thanks for posting this recipe!
Like my Daddy always said, “There’s more than one way to skin a cat” and this looks delicious!! ♥️

It looks just like Puerto Rican spaghetti 😋❤
I admire the different take on traditional spagetti. My recommendation is to use either a large deep sauce pan or a much larger fry pan than you are using here.
I love this process!
Looks delicious. I can’t wait to try it like that
One pot spaghetti! Wow this is my kind of meal.
I’ve cooked one pot raw pasta in the oven before, but not on the stovetop.
Thanks!
OMG WAS THAT QUICK AND EASY OR WHAT? RIGHT ON. YUMMY. 😮❤
Spaghetti tastes so much better if it sits in the fridge overnight. So much more flavor in the noodles! 😊
That all looks delicious! I love cooking the noodles in the sauce. The sauce really flavors the noodles that way. I’ve hunted for self rising corn meal and haven’t had any luck.
Corn bread looks yummy
Too much sugar. Bad for your health
I love it and I will be cooking it. I especially like the part of no extra pot to cook the pasta.👍👍
Thank you 🎉 Great video
Looks good! I’m a big fan of convenient cooking, I swear it makes the food taste better.
