Thanks dude. That’s great to hear.
About the isopropyl -- Siraya Tech actually recommends ethyl alcohol for cleaning. I get denatured alcohol, and it's much cheaper, easier to find, and DOES clean as well or better than IPA.
Fair enough. I had a look it’s actually cheaper to get ipa for me. Not to mention I use it for my other work too so it’s easy to get and pretty cheap. I have heard that ethyl alcohol is good for cleaning. But I’m happy with either it and anyone who has a cheaper version should use what’s cheaper it’s just a cleaner in the end some people use simple green esp over the pandemic..
@@Groundeffected if it's cheaper, definitely use it!
Just getting into this painting lark and your videos have helped so much, cheers and keep up the great work :-)

Thank you dude. I’m glad you came back to it. It’s truly a great hobby!!
Cool thanks for the video, I’ll be painting my first ever model soon and I was looking for some good paint to use
Army painter does a good set with a load of colors that are fairly cheap.
dude, I love your sense of humor :D
I like your show. Your comments make sense and I like your dry brush style humor.
Haha thanks my dude.
Excellent tips as usual Brent, nothing that is going break the bank for anyone but will save a lot if drama when prepping for painting and painting. I always refer novice painters to your videos because they rock. You have helped me so much with painting with them.
Thanks dude. And keep referring. Can’t take over TH-cam until we have the numbers (evil laugh while rubbing hands together)
great video!
thanks dude!!
dude your awesome i hope to one day paint like you.
Great vid. I already got the paints. 👍
Awesome! Thank you for watching bruh
Definitely need to get a couple of this bits! Maybe the wet palette too 😉😂 certainly need to order the fairy flesh set and rewatch some of your skin tutorials for sure! Great video as always ma dude!
Thanks bruh. Really appreciate it!
Thank you!!!!!!!!
No thank you for watching!!
love your videos man, great content. would love to see a video on blending one thing i struggle with that i think you could do a better job then others at teaching the basics. :)
Great suggestion! Thanks for watching!
Great list, I really need to get that skin set. One of the most useful cheap things I use is Silly Putty. It's awesome for masking and almost never damages the paint underneath.
Yea I need to get some!!
Great video mate, pink blu tack for the win 👍
Thanks mate!!
Love the content. I have been watching a lot of yt videos and I finally feel ready to start my journey in this 3D print-painting world. As a DC fan I already searched for cool 3d models. Now I need to learn how to paint from the very very basics 😂.
Good luck dude and welcome to the world of 3d printing.
I've been recycling the brown paper that Amazon uses for packaging, works a treat!
That's a great idea bruh!
Wet pallet goodness!!!
Yes indeed.
love your vids wish i could paint like you
Keep at it!! Practice will make better.
i just got the skin tone set you talked about i cant wait to use it.
Good luck it’s a great set how it goes well for you.
Army painter wet palette please~!!! i love your videos !!
your work is amazing, I wish I could paint like you, maybe wet pallet will help me :)
Ohh, Wet palette!!!! Fingers crossed. Great video. I think I am going to get a turntable.
That’s a great tool. Simple but great!!
started watching your videos when i got my 3D printer 2 months ago. I got so many good tips for painting and other stuff. I use a selfmade wet palette at the moment, so would be cool to get a "real one" ;D
Thanks for watching. Any wet palette is a good one though as long as you are trying to keep those paints hydrated.
Really helpful video - thanks. If you haven't already picked someone, the wet palette would be great :D
I’ve picked someone will be announced in tomorrows video
I would love to start painting my prints. It so satisfying to watch painting on models
Go for it dude. You might surprise your self.
After the first alcohol wash I've been using acetone to finish them off using a toothbrush to get in all the places that white gunk can accumulate especially after the alcohol has been used more than a few times, it works incredibly well.
Acetone would do that. It’s just a bit harsh though my family would hate me for having acetone in the lounge. Alcohol is bad enough hahaha
That sheet of paper is a great idea! I'll have to pick some up!
Yea defo helps keep things clean.
@@Groundeffected where did you pick this up from? Didn't see it below in the info.
I've seen you use the flesh kit before, time for me to get one and the other purple color, it really does make a difference on your models. I'll hold off buying a wet pallet until we see if you'll be sending it to me! 😀
Haha. Nice one yea that set is really good
I'm glad I found this channel,
Me too!
"And if you didn't like anything about this video....then click the dislike button.....and F**k off!"Lol! Ah straight up, love it. Great video Brent, keep up the good work.
Thank you. 🙏
+1 on the wet palette! :)
where the winner be announced?
Oooooh I want it lol I'm new to the 3d printing world and want to start making models.
Just typing words to support this channel
I like words
Would love to have that palette to replace my DIY one
Great video and channel! What sort of ratio do you use the tenacious? I’ve just ordered some as a set of 1/6 scale models I sent to USA ended up in bits…
So I just pour into the standard resin bottle about 150 ml of tenacious it makes them a lot less brittle
@@Groundeffected awesome could be a life saver!
Great videos , Sure a lot of model creators are making more money thanks to your builds and paints helps them create more, And yes i would like a wet palette lol
Haha maybe. Thanks dude.
Great video. Just wondering if you have tried the "sideshow wash" in lieu of Grimoire Purple?
i.e. light yellow then blue then red wash.
I'm tempted by your Purple technique but my airbrushing can get a bit aggressive.
Yea I have and it came out a mess. Wipe on wipe off wipe on wipe off. I just spray really things purple on there and get the same effect pretty much they are literally just making purple buy mixing those colours. Sure it’s not hyper realistic my way but it does the job and is definitely easier for most to follow
I just got my bottle of Grimoire purple in the post today.
Oooo that’s good! It’s a crutch now for me. Haha
Another good masking, cheap material is Silly Putty. And it doesn't rip up paint. BTW- don't select me. I already bought an Army Painter wet pallette. Great video!!
Yes silly putty is a good one. I don’t have any but I need to get some.
I just started to air brush, i have to say its fun
Yes it is! Good luck.
Thanks for the info, cool video. Would watering down acrylic paints give the same effect as the model paints?
Um model paints are acrylic based mostly at least the ones I’m using are
@@Groundeffected I'm going to try it and see what happens. Keep up the awesome content.
For masking silly putty works great
Yea I really need to get some
