Wow, those van fit outs are amazing!! Although not for detailing, ( but mountain bikes) seeing these certainly gives me a few ideas for the hopefully imminent van purchase.
Thank you for the video Dave 👍. Very true comments you made about carrying unnecessary kit when you have a large van. As you rightly said, no one needs 25 litre containers of car cleaning products. Also with the price of vans, if you're on a budget, an MPV can be virtually as good. Keep up the great work. 👍
I’m starting a detailing business next few weeks my van ain’t the biggest buuuuuut . Theirs quite a few chemicals that can be used for different jobs . This can save at least 1 shelf 👍
@@epicautomotivedetailing Sadly at the moment I am not valeting nor detailing since I came back to the UK. I came over again to get into aviation detailing but was not lucky yet. At the moment I have a Peugeot 206 2.0hdi that I am thinking of converting to a van. I could get quite a bit of stuff in it and the water tank would be towed on a small trailer. Another idea on a van or car that can take a decent amout of weight on the roof, is to put the water tank on the roof but would have to be a flatter tank. On a bigger van, instead of having a gazebo, you can have that extendable shade thing many motorhomes have on the side. Dont know the name in english. In a smaller car, like this corsa, you can always take out the passengers seat and use all that space. Got an idea of a big van like a Craftse or Ducato Maxi and covert part into a motorhome and a part for mobile valeting. Etc. 😁
Great video Dave , very informative and lots of helpful hints and tips but one small point to add of I may ? For those who live in london from October 2021 they may be subject to the ULEZ? So if you have a small diesel van it may be on the register to pay meaning that would have to be factored in.
@@epicautomotivedetailing definitely worth a go there In Leeds I live in Essex so I had to stay up there for one night while they fitted it all out. I do not regret it one bit
Great video Dave, I want to start my own valeting business and I'm in the planning phase right now so excellent timing 👍 I have one question, how big a water tank do you recommend for a full day of work?
@@stuartrodger5875 no mate, part of being mobile and professional is not having to use the customer water at least. I do tap into power if allowed, but carry a generator on board full of fuel at all times 👍🏻
@@stuartrodger5875 if there's an outside tap always ask the customer if you can use it, common sense to save on using your own water when you can, nothing unprofessional about that.
Hi Dave. Another great video. I have been looking at using a box trailer. I am lucky enough to have a unit to store it in, but it means it can be locked away from thieving gobshites overnight.
None of the Vans are as fast as your first vehicle was Dave. For those amongst you who spotted it.(The yellow Rover MG). By the time we had travelled between customers it was lovely and clean inside. Dad 😂🤣

As for someone who isn't from the UK - when he says "van" then shows a ford fiesta - does he mean the fiesta is a van? A van small van here in Australia would be something you could get into the back of (maybe with a bit of a slouch) but ...ye a van isn't a hatch?
