The episodes "House's Head" and "Wilson's Heart" are two of the most beautifully written episodes ever written.
They're insanely detailed and rich. I adore them so much. Better than most episodes but doesn't make them look bad
It brought me to tears.
@@helmetmcbarinSame reason you posted. It’s the internet and theres not exactly set rules to which episode someone can bring up.
@@helmetmcbarin Have you never actually watched House? Those are the two episodes from which the storyline of Amber's accident was portrayed. As such, that comment was entirely germane to this video. You're acting as if there's no contextual basis for the comment.
Also, TH-cam doesn't allow full episodes of House to stay up for free, so unless the OP paid the $ to buy those two episodes, they wouldn't be able to go writing these comments under the videos which depict the episodes.
I absolutely agree. The writing, the acting….it’s all stunning!!!
Shows how when the chips are down, Wilson is a weak spot for House. Gave up his whole diagnostic procedure to give Wilson a better chance at a happy ending.
House knows he can be rather unpleasant to be around so the fact Wilson puts up with him is something he is internally grateful
I've seen a fair few medical drama shows in my time, but I think House is the only one that I've consistently enjoyed 😊
the medical drama not so much the personal ones.
FR house is goated
Same. Even at its worst it was compelling and fun.
Totally agree! This is so much more entertaining than greys anatomy for sure 😂
Agreed. Grey’s Anatomy was my favorite for about the first 5 seasons but it slowly declined and became awful around season 12. They should’ve ended it years ago.
Wilson was willing to kill House, and House will always be grateful.
lmfaoooo
You can't have house without Wilson. They balance out each other.
how come?
Every time house compromised his objectivity either foreman or chase hate him for it😭😭😭
@@SmearCampaignsAreEvil poor chase got fired for it
That’s exactly why when Chase became paralyzed, he did everything possible to keep up the appearance of objectivity while treating him. He knew the team wouldn’t let him operate if they noticed just how emotional he was about Chase. The only one who did notice, was Chase himself. As impressive as this episode was, I consider him healing Chase his finest hour, because not only did he manage to heal Chase, but do so while being insanely emotionally compromised while putting up a convincing act that he wasn’t. It was so impressive, that only Chase noticed and called him a genius for it.
@@just4justincase They also did a huge investigation to see who was at fault for what happened to Chase, House being the main suspect. When (at the last minute) the investigator decided that no one was at fault, House was furious and stormed off, immediately visiting Chase during physical therapy to tell him "they decided no one was at fault...they were wrong. It was my fault."
Tbf it’s bc of his hypocrisy
@@SmearCampaignsAreEvil Or y'know, he is somewhat right that compromised objectivity *is* a problem when trying to diagnose and treat a patient, but the person whose objectivity is compromised often can't see that (without prompting), ergo house has to poke at them when it happens to them, and visa versa.
Whoever keeps this channel alive, just know we appreciate you greatly
Aww he liked the comment
That would be the owners of peacock the platform that streams the show.
I'd appreciate full episodes even more.
yes!!!
House's head.
Wilson's heart.
Robert Sean Leonard - Dr. Wilson. I first saw him in Dead Poet Society and then was blessed to see his awesome acting skill here on House.
I first found him playing Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing
Fun fact: They're playing the vocalization of the house theme song (Teardrop - Massive Attack) during the montage. Beautiful touch.
I loved Massive Attack back in the day. I remember House coming along during a time of great music
It's Teardrop by Jose Gonzalez.
@@buvvins6687it’s a cover
I hope the next scene is posted on here also. The sudden realization during the deep brain is one of the best scenes in the show.
Look up "House's Brain"
Edit: nvm it got deleted
@@Goatknyght that’s unfortunate hope someone uploads it
Is that the one with the cuddy musical?
@Ak Sprkl The Get Happy musical number? No, that's when Cuddy goes under the knife and House can't deal with it so he uses vicodin to cope
Since it’s not on here, care to say what happens?
The look on house's face when he realized his best friend was willing to risk his life, hurt.
Im gonna say i cant really blame Wilson for the soul reason that his girlfriend is dying. Hes desperate and not thinking rationally
@@callmecalamity I know he isn't thinking rationally and when someone you love is dying you're desperate to save them so I'm not really mad at Wilson more so I just feel sad for house cause the most important person in his life just made it seem like he doesn't care if he lives.
@@perfectlyimperfect2368 that's of course what house is feeling, but it's not, i think, what wilson is thinking. He's going through the scariest thing that's ever happened to him and he needs his person, house, in his corner, on his team. it's not that he'd rather have house dead than amber, it's that if house doesn't do this, then wilson doesn't have either of them. house isn't on his team if he can't back him up all the way. ultimately he's just as damaged and intense and obsessive as house is, it just comes out differently most of the time. plus, he's more used to helping people than asking for help, AND the person who needs the most from him is House, so his sense of what you can beg for is...not well calibrated.
The fact the House was going to do it says a lot too
I think it was less that House was hurt, and more that he realised just how much Wilson loved Amber. Confirmed with his sigh and a firm nod to Wilson with only a few seconds of contemplation. He was willing to die if it meant his best friend could be happy.
House doing things differently just for Wilson shows he cares which is obvious but despite the obsessive over rationality its not always that simple to act that way, its not always easy to ignore someones pain and worry
That's because in this case he first hand witnessed someone become a victim/patient, which means it has become personal, plus its someone close to him and someone he cares about, so its double personal. A lot of the other patients he keeps at arm's length to avoid getting "involved". This time he can't.
I agree. He changes his approach to make Wilson keep up his hope. And hope is a poor diagnostic indicator.
But in his way, he loves Wilson, and wants to protect him.
I really like how here Wilson was unapologetically "selfish"- in a way that was morally just. And house accepted it seriously because he knew it was morally just.
House is _literally_ the exact kind of person who would risk his own life to get a correct diagnosis
Best 2 episodes of House and that's saying A LOT. The entire show was a work of art.
acoustic remake of the original theme never noticed that before
Same! It's awesome.
This José González cover is awesome!
This two-part season finale made me cry for the last eight minutes of the final episode.
Goddamn.
7:01 that small sigh House lets is an under rated acting genius.
13 really sat on a toilet seat with her labcoat on
She probably was there to have some time alone to reflect, not for the initial purpose of the restrooms
@@eldonadI still find it gross to sit on the toilet seat and not washing your clothes after.😊
@@GeorgiaAndrea okay, fair enough, I thought the toilet's lid was closed, now I'm grossed out too 😬
i love how y’all are complaining about the lab coat as if doctors don’t wear them so germs and contaminants don’t get on their regular clothes, the whole point. you put your bare skin on toilets, the protective garment will live
lab coats r one of the dirtiest things in a hospital, even more contaminated than a sepsis patient's own clothes
This was one of the most heartbreaking two part episodes of television I had ever seen.
4x15 and 4x16 is my favorite house episodes in terms of story-telling. It's so good that even if you know little about the show, you can still kind of understand what's going on in those two episodes
I always wonder where Amber’s family was.
I don't think she has one
house basically going against his own ways because of wilson's concern for amber. god its beautiful.
13 touching the toilet with her bare hands then running them through her hair is killing me
You good?
@@chilomine839He’s dead
And House had his hands firmly planted on the walls of the stall, too. I want to see some hand washing from both of them
This is one of the best episodes of the show
1:58 Oh boy. I remembered this part but thought it happened in another episode (the one with the psychopath).
Robert Sean Leonard was truly amazing in this episode and the episodes that followed.
And he knows wilson deserved to ask him such thing
Thirteen sometimes feels like she could be House's daughter. The thumbnail made me think of that.
I realized the song is a cover version of the show's actual theme *"Teardrop"* by Massive Attack
Why don’t they use gloves when inserting injections😖😖
Inside voices . . .
2:08 JAMES WILSON IS ADORABLE
how am I just noticing that!!! And did someone write "DADDY" under that??
You can see the mental calculation Wilson runs through before nodding when House asks “You think I should risk my life to save Amber’s?”; he starts but then pauses, before realising (or rather rationalising) that he’d actually be giving House a chance to a) succeed and diagnose Amber, and b) potentially die on his own terms.
2:23 my guy is michael myers with that teleport
seeing Wilson angry is disturbing
Is that fair to House? Expecting him to sacrifice himself for Amber? Perhaps Wilson should treat her himself, since he was so adamant that House listen to him.
If I’m not mistaken I think Wilson feels that way because Amber was going to get House from his … house, and due to that she was in the bus.
So it’s House’s fault, but not really
"Risk" and "sacrifice" are two different things. He didn't ask him to die, he asked him to risk dying. It may seem like semantics, but the point is that Wilson wants Amber saved and the best chance is whatever clues may or may not be hidden inside House's head. He's done everything for House, and he's not thinking rationally at that moment, so you can't blame him for asking. He isn't asking House to die, he's asking him to save Amber.
@@Nygassso nah wilson didnt find that out til afterwards
Best hospital show ever.
Chicago med and The good doctor don't come close!
that is me when i see ghost while drinking ice coffee at 2:03 LOL
I love the way he poses the question to wilson. Using it to Gauge just how important it is to him and see how desperate wilson is.
House: you want me to risk my life to save the patients?!!!
Inner house: giggles with excitement
"sorry... wide stance" heh, I know that reference
Help me out here. Is that phrase from I think the American politician that was in the restroom trying to hook up with a dude?
Forgive me, I do not live in the States.
I was today years old when I noticed they used the intro song for the most dramatic scene here
House wearing 1s are crazy lmao
I love how House, self-centered as he is, waited all of 2 seconds to agree to risk his own life after Wilson confirmed he was asking for just that. We always see him take advantage of Wilson's good nature, but when it mattered most, he stepped up, and put it all on the line for his only true friend. It sadly didn't save Amber, but it probably saved their friendship after she died.
The reference at 2:08 💀
I'm shocked that they haven't put up the scenes from this episode of Chase hypnotizing House. They were extremely well-done and set up the beginning of the ensuing reveal beautifully. Plus...funny. 😁
Foreman: you can't fold just because Wilson's throwing a fit
House: oh, I'm sorry, who works for who again? That's right, shut up and do the cultures.
Foreman was right in this instance though.
Anyone know where I can see the rest of this scene? This is such a good one and I’ve never seen anything of it till now
Why do the directors choose not to have doctors wear gloves during procedures??
This show can get kind of droning sometimes but the acting is phenominal
I'd really hate to be under these people's care. All they do is guess and screw up every episode.
lol, thats because you are seeing behind the scenes. from the patient perspective its all good
But you'd be terrifically entertained in the meantime.
They have 50 minutes to fill. That gives them time to make at least six wrong guesses.
Crazy how people in the comment section are bitching about Wilson. You clearly haven't seen the series in full or the episode fully 😢
It was so heartbreaking when they eventually know it's all because of flu meds!! Freakin flu meds! Amber genuinely could've survived the crash, the other passengers did!
So, he agreed to risk his life for your woman, had a seizure because of it, and you still friend-divorced him.
Way to go, Wilson.
House could have killed him but luckily only hurt his ankle, and pretty much destroyed his life, and pushed the love of his (House') life away. He did what addicts do. But Wilson still took him back.
He might be family, but he still has a fucking right to discuss treatment such as restarting her heart. In her condition, he has the right to deliberate on her behalf, yes he's scared and maybe they go past him anyway but he has the right to talk and even for House to decide differently because of it.
Normally foreman is the one wanting to be safe
Can't get bitchy about house this time
He was being safe
@@redfordreddington8834 by almost killing the patient?
@@maggimaster they had to restart her heart at some point. House knew that.
Formans as bad as House when it comes to risks he can just usually hide behind House and cover himself by presenting the safe argument.
But every-time he's on his own or House is being careful for some reason Forman does exactly what House would do.
It literally got him fired from another hospital.
wait why would this procedure risk house's life?
House was in the bus crash with Amber and has a skull fracture. IIRC that's why the procedure would endanger him.
@@MaxwellsDemon9 but why would the skull fracture affect his ability to do the procedure?
@@tieflingcorpse9817cause it can damage him…. Skull fracture leads to mistakes
@@collegues724 so i can see how that might damage the patient but how could that damage him further?
@tieflingcorpse9817 someone else said house had a severe concussion, and jolting an already damaged brain could cause him to have a heart attack, seizure, stroke or aneurysm. They also said he ended up having a seizure
Everything ends.. also the good.. the bad and the ugly..
if DrHouse would reboot.. o man.. but who be the addicted one ?
that be me!
What I didn't like about this episode is that Wilson somehow is Amber's only "family" . She didn't have a mother or father sister brother or cousin. That doesn't make sense. He's only been dating her for about a month and somehow he calls the shots on her life.
House is loyal,sadlyyyyyn
So what happens? I’ve never seen this episode, and the second half isn’t on TH-cam
Can someone tell me, what was the risk for House?
He and Amber were in a major bus crash together. He's Dealing with a concussion that was so dramatic it took a day or 2 to remember even being on the bus let alone Amber being with him.
Head trauma from the crash caused a severe concussion, plus he was forcing himself to stay awake, which adds to the potential brain damage. Jolting an already damaged brain like that with electricity, could easily overload it, cause a stroke, seizure, heart attack, or an aneurism. In the end he had a seizure.
Wilson is such a crybaby
I mean the man is losing family cut him some slack
gross, how could they sit on those toilets like that, i think she had her hand on it too
The "vote for change" sticker did not age well. 2:09.
2:48 wait house has kids? Much less a grandson? When do we say that?
Of course he doesn't House was just making one of his jokes
Real house md theme song! too bad they ruined it in the aussie version (maybe even in the physical media versions too) i think this youtube channel plays the non original theme aswell, copyright?
Foreman was really willing to kill a patient again and did not even hesitate. It's like he did not learn anything from his previous screwup.
@5:44
This one was cut so badly I can't tell what is going on.
Please tell me what song that was at 3:29?
Teardrop massive attack
Funnily enough, the theme for house Md
I hate Foreman he doesn't care about the life of any pt, it's just all about him.

What was wrong with amber again? I know she dies. I just forgot why.
No gloves?!
I really like watching these but get throughly ANNOYED when we only get a piece of it and can not find the ending. WHY dont you have the full episode all in one???
Was amber had sepsis
Best medical show ever.
My only problem with this scene is that she wasn't taking a dump. I feel like the viewers were robbed of that
Ayo?
I know it’s 2024 and we’re not allowed to kink shame but seriously, go away you disgusting weirdo.
You know I've always known that whatever Hugh Laurie was going to be on next, what's going to be awesome. But then he had a Hiatus for a little while and then he came out on that new TV show that I can't remember the name now, but the one where he is a fake Captain who is actually an actor out in space. It's like the entire show was written by Zoomers and let me tell you this... it is beyond bad. No redeeming qualities
Wilson is houses best friend but i swear they argue like blood brothers
Everybody: "wow House is apathetic and incapable of himan connection"
House when his friend asks him to risk his life for his gfs: "... *nods* 🫡
This one was cut so badly I can't tell what is going on.
House was on a bus that got hit by a truck. The previous episode was all about House trying to remember who he saw on the bus that was going to die (at the end he finally remembered it was Amber, manifested in his mind as a woman wearing a necklace with an amber pendant). This episode, they're trying to find out what is killing her, because House still doesn't remember what he saw that made him think she was going to die. It turns out that it's a combination of a medication she took and her injuries in the bus crash damaging her liver or something, which means that her body can't process the medication and it poisons her. Sadly, there was nothing anyone could have done, she was dead as soon as she got hurt in the crash.
