Dargo High Plains Rd, Grand Ridge Road, Balook Rd

Day 5 - Victoria Ride
Sabina’s favourite day so-far. We were hesitant to ride back up over Hotham again because of the morning fog which made yesterday so challenging. But thankfully we did just that, riding through constant changing fog and ground level clouds.
Just after Hotham Heights, we turned onto Dargo High Plains Road which was 45km of varied gravel - mostly good, with some picturesque views descending down the mountains. This was a great experience - well that’s what Jeffrey called it when he punctured half way to Dargo.
Dargo Pub was packed, mainly with 4-wheel drivers, in fact the Dargo HP Road was one of the busiest roads we’ve ridden on the trip. Dargo Rd is always a nice ride with plenty of twisties, but there was the occasional surface damage that could easily be dodged.
Beverly Rd features plenty of twisties and is in great condition - we really enjoyed riding it. We had a nice lunch at the Briagolong Hotel, tracked across to Heyfield and on to Gormandale in our quest to avoid the Princes Hwy.
The fun continued, riding along the first section of Grand Ridge Road and stoping off at the Corrigan Suspension Bridge which was pretty good with a nice walk through the fern forrest.
The final site-seeing included a short ride up the terrible driveway to the Mount Tassie Lookout which was a pretty good lookout, making up for the terrible surface getting there.
The ‘icing on the cake’ was the fantastic ride along the high quality, twistie-undulating Traralgon-Balook Road which capped off a great adventurous day’s riding.

Nice trip mate. Bloody GoPros. Mine did exactly that once. wasn't in Timelapse mode, it just decide to record in that way. Only done it once though to me. Next time I hit record it worked properly. ? ?

Think I have now worked it out so it won't happen again - never long-press the record button (usually use the remote anyway) :).
