    That looks much better than the original ones. Never seen people leave rubbish like that on a campsite before, certainly is the hight of laziness.

      thanks for the comment. I could not believe it when we emerged and saw the mess. Burnham is far from my favourite place in all honesty, but a great golf course (Burnham & Berrow), hence the trip. campsite was Unity Farm. Over the summer for us, it wont be so much 'van life' adventures but our own mini tour of the UK to the great golf courses we have and using park4night there and around.

    From Canada: I agree with all the tricks you used but what about using a heat gun to heat the flexible reinforced tube? I used that trick many times on my sailboats to fit hoses on thru hull fittings.

    As a Wiltshireman myself (from Warminster) I had wondered where you were and now I've worked it out. I know that road with the tyre place well. Another good vid. I like that you are always seeking to improve the van.

      I always knew a local chap would recognise the only 'go to' tyre place in the town but tried to be discreet not showing their name as this tyre place did not want to be on film. After weeks of haggling, got a deal of the decade on 4x BF's and I don't think they wanted to repeat that if advertised. Did not want to have to do this improvement but the CAK's are CAK!

    This is one of the tasks I also need to do. Make sure the drain taps appear next to each other and you can pull up to a dump point and drop what ever you have in excess of!

      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, it started that way, but in actual fact I moved the grey waste to the other side later on for a shorter pipe run and even better flow. did not film that as did not seem to have much more to offer on the subject.

    I have these taps on my swift Motorhome, they will eventually get blocked due to the 2 offset 1/2 circle flanges in the pipe. I got a drimmel and filled them back so there was a clear flow for the water.

    Hi buddy amazing as always 👌I don't suppose you remember where you got the straight coupler for the tap to the pipe from? Or what size each end is? Cheers 🍻

      Oh god, there's a question. I am so sorry but I cant. Most of the plumbing came from Magnum or Rainbow so either of them would be a good place to start.

    Excellent little and very informative production. Many thanks. Gz the people who left the rubbish should be banned from future stays at the site. How bloody lazy can some people be? Absolutely disgraceful.

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed, but unfortunately, judging by the accents I heard on site the day before, Unity suffer from a mass influx of guests from not too far away where a large bridge is involved and without them, messy as they are, might struggle for occupancy so I think just grin and bear it. Although it is likely a false positive as many are no doubt put off from going there due to afore mentioned guests 'on mass' with excess noise and mess.

    Where did you find the bigger ones please?

      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comment. I have linked in the video description to where I got mine, although they are available from many 'good' outlets. you just need to ensure you order the tap and the adaptor for flexi pipe and ensure they come with the mounting clips as some 'retailers'!!! sell the clips separately. so do your homework and shop around.

      Sorry to be picky but I just did a google search for 'campervan drain taps' and the screen lit up with many options for suppliers of these? Magnum motorhome being one of them, try them perhaps?

    Very useful videos, one question, the blue flexible drain pipe supplied by CAK tanks is too small, where did you buy your replacement from? I'm struggling to find it.

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm afraid I don't recall now, but it is likely to have come from either CAK or Magnum, they both offer a range of pipes of different sizes. although if I was doing it again I would use 32mm rigid instead for the waste.

  • @RedandWhiteRebel
    @RedandWhiteRebel 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great content as always, does the flexi hose adapter come with the drain or did you have to order it seperately ? Keep up the good work.

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203

      separate and you need to look for 28mm to 26mm reducer for the 1" flexi grey tubing.

    To anyone else doing this job. Put the end of the pipes in a cup of hot water for 5 minutes. Makes the pipe soft enough to push on easily.

    How did you fit a breather to the freshwater tank? Our tank is fitted and it’s clear we need a breather ! As we thought! Any suggestions of a self sealer breather

    Did the new taps make a big difference to the drain speed of your tanks. We had a holiday in Somerset a few years back and stayed at Burnham on Sea and never saw any of it apart from Asda and Aldi.

      yes, fully agree. the CAK tank kit would be so much better with good quality taps and I think most people would be quite happy to pay a little extra for it, or even have it as an optional upgrade? regards.

    I didn’t bother with a drain tap for the fresh water tank
    I just turn the sink tap on to empty fresh water into the waste tank and drain that
    Also I used a slide valve to empty waste tank as it’s much quicker and easier , just pull the handle
