- Hi everybody!! We're doing great out here on the Happy Together Tour having great shows with great audiences. Today we visit about life at Halidon Hall, the mansion on the hill in Newport, Rhode Island where we lived just before we moved to New York. We were on the cusp of making it big and we have a lot of fun memories to share with you about life in Newport c. 1965-1966.

I can’t thank you enough for your podcast and videos. During all the Covid lockdowns I looked forward to walking and listening to you guys every week. You and your music and your good humour really helped me in those crappy days. Sending hugs from Australia.

Watching old “Northern Exposure” TV show last night, and “The Rain the Park…” was played on their radio station for a pretty long (relatively, for this) time! It was a bit where the town DJ wanted to play happy songs.

So good to see you! Love you guys! ❤ Your walk down memory lane is very enjoyable! I remember reading in a teen magazine in the 60s that your family had to "burn furniture in the fireplace" to keep warm. Strange to know that was actually true.
Love listening to all your stories and I look forward to the next podcast.

Love you guys. Positive vibes from Fall River, MA. Hope to see you if your ever in the area. I know a guy who sings Cara Mia and his secret is duct tape.
I have blankets from Fall River and I love them ! Also breads from F.R. bakeries available here in Poughkeepsie.
@@JOHNWLOUCKS I know a lot of the bakeries do ship to different areas of the country. Also, Chow Mein noodles made here that are unlike any others are shipped all over the country. Another big favorite are the Lebanese meat pies from Sams Bakery. There are a lot of ex Fall Riverites in California who they ship to. We have a huge ethnic smorgasbord of delicious food. Where do you get the blankets?
@@alcambrola2834 Thanks for the great info. The blankets are from American Blanket Company. The bread I get at Ocean STate. I used to work with an ex Fall Riverite and on her really bad days we called her Lizzy.
Sea Snarks? Now that wasn't a term I ever expected to hear in your podcast. 😂 Memories are great!
Wow! Just looked up Halidon Hall on the web….awesome house! So, what’s the story with the broken window on the “turret”. Just noticed that on the sleeve of your single, “The Rain, the Park….”.
Woohoo Hoooo! Atlantic City this weekend!! Can't wait!! See you guys then!
