Sherrill I love your videos! You are a natural at teaching & explaining how to make great projects. I've learned so much about sewing from you! ❤🧵🧵🧵🪡 Thank you so much
You really hold my attention, I talk to you as your describing a technique and before I can say “but wait?” You start to explain what I need you to explain a little more or differently. Thank you so much, you make me feel confident about myself because I’m learning so much. I never had a hobby as a young girl, but now it’s all I talk about and want to do. I couldn’t even thread a sewing machine until just 3 years ago, lol. Thank you again.
I am also power watching your videos as Cathy below said. I made this mitt but cut the circle 9" as I was sewing it for someone with larger hands. On the outside piece, the one that will come in contact with the most heat, I added a layer of insulbright, metallic side facing out. And of course because my circle was larger I needed more bias and straight binding. Thank you so much for the pace you use, it is so helpful.
Hi I really enjoy your videos you go slow so that "us beginners" can follow along with you, I sew "step by step" as I go. I watch, pause the video sew then go on from there so again Thanks a Bunch for your videos
Sherrill, thanks for another great tutorial. You explain things so clearly which makes it so easy to follow your instructions. Thanks for putting in such a lot of time to make each project to the various stages to make your explanations of each step so clear. It is so kind of you and very much appreciated.
Hi Cheryl, Once again thank you so much for a great tutorial. I am glued to your video whilst we are in lockdown in Sydney Australia and I will make them once I get my fabric. Thank you and stay safe and good day to everyone. Ginny D.
Hi Sherril. I find your videos most informative. The best part is that you are so super patient. Thank you for your hard work in making things easy for us. Pam Naidoo South Africa
Very good video and easy to understand. Thank you so much for your work it surely does help me so I can come back and take a double look (or more lol) at the steps to complete this project. God bless.
Sherrill you are a rock star and so inspirational. I love your videos and the way you teach. Your quick and easy and I just wanted to share my love for your channel. Thank you for all your hard work. Very talented!!
Thx for the video! I suppose you could omit the half circle binding by cutting them on the fold. Just a thought. I’ll be making a set for a raffle table! 😊
Very nice pot holder and practical in the kitchen . Thank you . I am sure will be sewing soon, your sewing is beautiful. Hope you had a very "Happy Easter"
Hi Sherrill, this is a great video I love this pot holder. I ‘m going to try to make it. You have some beautiful kitchen items to sew, thanks so much sherrill.
I am power watching all your kitchen accessories instructions - they are great! Have you ever folded and ironed your binding one more time -- so there is a fold on the raw edge when you go to attach? Then use a decorative stitch to attach the binding? Very fast!
Hey Cheryl I sure need your help I’m 75 and want to continue sewing, I’m having loads of issues that are keeping me from enjoying it and don’t know which sewing machine would benefit me. I would like help with threading, cutting the thread and extension for me are a must would like to have all that for the least cost wise without sacrificing quality. I would love your feed back 5:49
Hi BevyAnn. There are many sewing machines that have an auto needle threader, and built in thread cutter. I would go to a sewing machine dealer store and tell them what your budget is and what your special needs are. They will demonstrate the machines, and many dealer stores will offer a free class to teach you how to use the machine. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching, Merry Christmas, and happy sewing. 😍
Hit Patricia. I'm glad I was able to help. By the way -- I have an acquired right hand injury (spinal cord injured). Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
I love your videos and subscribed. I have one suggestion. You should do you instructions on the computer and print it out instead of hand written. It's neat, clear and easy to read. Great projects.
Hi Kerrie. It is a toaster cover. I will be making a video on how to make it some time this year. But, there are many free Sun Bonnet Sue patterns on the internet that you can apply to your projects. Their are some really cute ones out there. Happy sewing.
Thanks Sherrill. Looking forward to that tutorial as well as any others you do. I had a question about subscribing to your channel. I have subscribed but I don't seem to ever get notified when you post a tutorial. Do you know how I can fix this as I would really like to be notified of new tutorials?
Hi Kerrie. When you clicked on subscribe did you enter your email address? If you did enter your email address, then I'm not sure why you are not receiving an email message from You Tube. I will look into this. I usually release a new video every week. Happy sewing.
Hi Sherrill Thanks for getting back to me. When I subscribed there was no message or place to enter my email address so I was unable to do this. After getting this reply I clicked on the subscribe button on the bottom of your tutorial page to see if I would be asked for my email address but it simply sent me to The Sewing Room channel. I hope it can be sorted so that I don't miss your tutorials Thanks again
Hi Donna. You can put batting in but only use 1 layer. Otherwise, it will be very thick and the binding might not be wide enough to go over the edges. If you want a double layer, you might have to cut the binding wider. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Hi Betty. I proof read, but sometimes I don't catch everything. Once the video is upload to TH-cam, I can't make changes. But thanks for letting me know. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Excellent video! This video provides very clear, step by step instructions, thank you!

I love the way she shows on paper what you need for the project. And she goes slowly to make sure that you get it right.

I rather like the handwritten (although it's 'bias' not 'biaz' ;-). It is more personal.
I also enjoy the handwritten instructions...
Awesome
Sherrill I love the appliqued Sunbonnet Sue that sits on your shelf. What is she appliqued onto?
Hi Kerrie. It is a toaster cover. I will be making a video on how to make it some time this year. But, there are many free Sun Bonnet Sue patterns on the internet that you can apply to your projects. Their are some really cute ones out there. Happy sewing.

Hi Teresa. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
You may want to correct your spelling. bias is spelled with an S, not a Z. Thanks for the info. Great potholder.
Hi Betty. I proof read, but sometimes I don't catch everything. Once the video is upload to TH-cam, I can't make changes. But thanks for letting me know. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Se ven lindos...pero textos en ESPAÑOL por favor
I see you did not use batting on the top pieces.
Hi Suzy. You can use 1 layer of cotton batting on the top 2 pieces. I wouldn't use more than that. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
no video on bias cutting
Hi Janis. The link is in the video now. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Also, here is the link th-cam.com/video/1tCf_nTZDRk/w-d-xo.html
🌺🌹💕😍👌
I cannot see what she is doing cuz of the writing instructions on top of the inst.
