Just finished my first pot holder and love it. Your instructions are perfect! I cut all the pieces 9" x 9" and the finished size was 8" x 8" - perfect for a man's hand as well. I used 1 piece of insul-bright and one piece of cotton batting and a size 80 needle. Thank you so much for your video.
Stacey - Thank you for the great quick project. Sometimes we want to sew but don't want to get involved in a big project, so this would be perfect for a relaxing sew! What a great quick gift idea! Kudos to you for posting a video when you're in the midst of relocating. I know how exhausting mentally and physically it is! What a trooper!

Stacey - your tutorial is PERFECT for a beginner like my daughter and granddaughter - I can’t wait to show them this! I’ll make a few more for myself since my husband really loves them (I’m spoiled and he does 99% of the cooking) - he’s said the homemade ones with the batting and insulbrite are fabulous and so much better than store bought. Thank you for all you do
I love this potholder ❤ I think I'll use some leftover wrap n zap batting and pretty flannel from another project. As always, thank you for mentioning all the stitch lengths used in your tutorials. 😊
Hi Connie! 😊 I'm thrilled you find the instructions easy to follow. Can't wait to see what you create! Thanks for taking the time to leave such a kind comment. 🧵 If you'd like to share your projects, please join our Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/staceyleecreative.

It made fell so good that they liked them and l also a table runner to match them.. I wanted to let you know thank you for your lesson on to make pot holders. Maria 😊
Thank you for the easiest potholder tutorial I've seen yet for beginners! Please continue to do beginner sewing instructionals as you take your time and don't speed through the video thinking everyone knows their way around sewing.💜💜
That’s such a fantastic idea! 😊 What a creative way to recycle your pajamas, and I love that you turned it into a placemat! ❤️ It’s great that you get to admire your work every day at lunch-well done! ✂️🌟
Thank you so much for the great tutorial!! I am making several of these for Christmas this year. I am going to add a pocket on one side to hold cooking tools, like a whisk, spatula abd wooden spoon. Adding this to a gift basket with soup bowls, bowl holder, soup, muffin and cookie mixes!! Your video is so timely. Many thanks…PS. Love your pink iron❤
Thank you so much, Debbie! 😊 Your gift idea sounds absolutely amazing-I love the pocket addition and the thoughtful basket! ❤️ And yes, my pink iron is a favorite too! ✂️🎄
Hi Stacey. Once again a lovely project. I love the shape of your pins. Hope they come to NZ. Do you watch Rosery Apparel. She is from Tasmania and a dress maker using a very similar colour palette to you. I found your channel because of the colours you use. I love all that you do. Have a great week. Lynda
Sorry for not replying sooner 😅 Roseary Apparel is my favourite TH-camr. She is very sweet. I message her from time to time asking her questions about her channel and how she does things and she is lovely and kind and always replies ❤️
Great tutorial. It seems the only pot holders I can find to buy are too small, too thick (with a pocket for your hand), and too expensive! This is perfect! You make it look easy! I will try this!
Thanks for the suggestion, Maria! 😊 I'll add burp cloths to my list of potential future tutorials. They're indeed a great beginner-friendly project. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment! 🧵
I would use cotton batting 2 layers it will hold the heat if you don't have inselbright I would do 2 layers or one layer of cotton batting and 1 layer of inselbright
I'm sure it's been mentioned already, but for potholders, please use at least 2 layers of insulbrite as it's rather thin. When using 100% cotton batting, which is thin, please use at least 2 layers. Wool batting is best, but it's more expensive.
Does anyone ever hang up a pot holder? I definitely do not and I eliminate the little hanger .I find it to be in the way when handling the pot holder to remove the pot from the oven.

Super cute ❤😊
You are so kind - thank you! 🤗
These are so lovely. Great gift ideas. 😃
Thanks so much 😊
I love the print! You might want to add some cotton batting with the insulbright. It is not made to use alone.
Thanks so much for the tip Debbie 🤗
Yes I don’t see why not 🤗
I always use my insulbrite alone. No problemsa
Yes you can use only insul brite. Extra batting is too bulky.
I like a thicker pot holder it keeps your hands from burning. Insulbright alone is to thin to me.
Thank you! That was simple and to the point.
Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching my videos ☺️
Thanks Stacey! Exactly the easy tutorial I was looking for. I like your loop idea too!😊

Quick and easy 😊love it.

Fyi...in the states the insulated batting is, in many places, called thermo-lam. This info might help other viewers
Interesting I am in the US and that's what it is called where I am
Good edc Hank tutorial
Thanks 👍 I appreciate you watching my video and taking the time to leave a comment 😊
You could sandwich the insul bright between 2 pieces of old toweling to give the potholder more body, or just use 1 piece...
Great idea! Thanks for watching ❤
Wondering if you show us to make a burp cloth something that easy to make. Thank you
Maria😊
Thanks for the suggestion, Maria! 😊 I'll add burp cloths to my list of potential future tutorials. They're indeed a great beginner-friendly project. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment! 🧵
Super cute ❤What kind of pins are those?
Hi, they are these ones: amzn.to/3SHnU5a
I would definitely sew a criscross because the batting will slip inside or some kind of quilting but very nice
Yes you are right 🤗
Hi just wondering if one layer of heat resistant batting is enough? I see variations on videos--sometimes as much as three layers! thanks!
Great question! One layer of heat-resistant batting is safe, but some quilters prefer two layers for extra protection. 🌟 ✨
Can I use zorb for the batting?
I am sorry I am not familiar with zorb
Thank you so much for this. ❤ Can you tell me which needle and thread do you use? Greetings from Croatia
I just use a universal needle and for this project glide thread
Does it matter which side of the insulbrite you put next to the fabric?
Hi, put it closest to the side which will touch the hot item 😊
Wonderful tutorial! But wouldn’t you need some batting if its a potholder??? Just curious.
Hi. Yes I put a layer of insul-bright in. For extra protection you can also add a layer of regular batting 🤗
I would use cotton batting 2 layers it will hold the heat if you don't have inselbright
I would do 2 layers or one layer of cotton batting and 1 layer of inselbright
I'm sure it's been mentioned already, but for potholders, please use at least 2 layers of insulbrite as it's rather thin. When using 100% cotton batting, which is thin, please use at least 2 layers. Wool batting is best, but it's more expensive.
Great tip! 😊 Wool batting is top-notch if you’re willing to splurge. Thanks for sharing! 🌟
I have calico cotton fabric, I don't think it's 100 percent cotton. Do you think it's okay I I use that fabric for pot holders?
Yes! I believe Calico is 100% cotton 🤗
Great! Thanks.😊
Can you use any fabric please.
Hi, I would stick with 100% cotton 😊
Does anyone ever hang up a pot holder? I definitely do not and I eliminate the little hanger .I find it to be in the way when handling the pot holder to remove the pot from the oven.
Yes people do 🤗 Thanks for watching 🤗
