      +Penetrationskommentar It's essentially asking where would you take a picture of a kitchen you can't afford while having a "meatball" break (meatball being another important part of the clue). The only one that makes any sense is Ikea because it's a furniture store (taking pics of a kitchen you can't afford) while the rest of the choices are cities. Also, Ikea is a Swedish company (hence Swedish "meatballs") and the Ikea stores have places in them where you can get things to eat and drink. It is a convoluted question but I was able to figure it out just with the clues and Ikea was really the only choice that many any sense in relation to the clues.

    • @SuperSethstone
      @SuperSethstone 8 ปีที่แล้ว +87

      Are you kidding? This question was ridiculously easy, and you dont need to have been to Ikea to get the answer. If he was as smart as he said he was, he could have easily used logic, common sense and the process of elimination. Taking selfies in Kitchens? Ok, with that, we could easily surmise that it would be bizarre for that to fit with any of the country answers. Most people know Ikea sells furniture. So the "multiple kitchens" and taking pictures in them fits perfectly into a scenario at an Ikea store. The only hard part of the qeustion, and the part meant to trip you up, would be the meatballs. For me, ive never been to Ikea, but I would safely assume that meatballs are sold there, because again. The kitchen part of the question doesn't logically fit with any of the other answers. So they obviously MUST sell meatballs in Ikea. Thing is though. he KNEW THEY DID! Which is why he failed fairly, by getting the EASIEST part of the question wrong.

      TheCommunistTwilight well that just made you sound a bit thick, didn't it.
      To confidently arrive at the correct answer to this question, two things are required:
      1. Knowledge of Ikea.
      2. (Some) knowledge of what Buzzfeed is.
      I've never set foot in Ikea and certainly didn't know it was a restaurant. Even if I did, I still don't know what a 'meatball break' is.
      I mean, if it's literally what the words suggest, then I'm still lost as to the relevance of this with "twentysomethings".
      You see? Traditionally, the first question on millionaire requires little to no intellect. And this alone would lead somebody to the "obvious answer" of Rome, since anybody 'with half a brain' knows that meatballs go hand in hand with pasta, pasta is associated with Italy, and Rome is in Italy.

    • @haunter4708
      @haunter4708 6 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Plus, I thought the whole point of Ikea was cheap furniture. So that would completely throw me as well.

      The hint “taking selfies in kitchens you can’t afford” literally screams ikea

  • @WmTRiker
    @WmTRiker 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    If you think about the question logically, three of the answers are _cities_ and one is a store. If the answer were any of the cities, that would presume that the city would have publicly accessible kitchen displays where a person _could_ take a selfie. Surely, private individuals, especially those with kitchens "fancy" enough that most people couldn't afford them, wouldn't allow "tourists" into their kitchens (or, houses in general) for the mere purpose of taking a selfie.
    The only _logical_ answer is the one _store_ on the list, a place that commonly _does_ have various room displays open to the public. Same could be said of Lowes, Home Depot, etc., especially when it comes to kitchens.

    I think this question was constructed specifically to deceive someone into thinking D was a joke answer rather than the correct 1 as D has traditionally been used as a foolish joke answer in the past on the show. This coupled with the fact that all the other answers are unrelated to IKEA could make a hasty contestant, such as this 1, completely disregard IKEA and pick Rome thinking meatballs are traditionally italian hence from Rome and could sort of string together rome as a place with expensive kitchens that "nobody could afford" due to Italy in general being well known for its cuisine. Its not an impossibly difficult question but moreso a deceptively constructed question aimed at tripping someone up that tried to rush through it like this unlucky soul.

      I didnt realise that tourists flock to Rome to admire kitchens. Its pretty obvious the answer is IKEA, perhaps a European would of understood that the Swedish are also associated with meatballs and not just the Italians. Even if it were 50/50 between answers C and D, the kitchen part would of been a giveaway. I guess if you had zero clue about Swedish food and furniture stores then you possibly wouldnt know but to most people this is as basic as asking, "What country is associated with pizza?" Or maybe pasta, you get the idea. The guy either needs to get out more or he got complacent with it being the first question which is often a joke question. Its admirable that people are defending him on the comment section but, it was hardly a trick question.

      Fireworks, wrong: Wiki: "In Italy, meatballs (named polpette [polˈpette], sing. polpetta) are generally eaten as a main course or in a soup." The question implied the meatballs were eaten alone (i.e., as a stand-alone meal. It's is very uncommon to have meatballs as a main course in American, however that is common in Italy. YOU desperately added "spaghetti" because you can't accept the fact he provided the most appropriate answer through deductive reasoning.

    • @binkao2938

      Meatballs aren't famous in Rome. You won't see anybody eating it. You'd probably have to look very hard to find them. Also just because they have it in Italy doesn't mean it's a common dish. You can find meatballs in France and UK too. But hey, keep reaching. I'm sure if you try hard enough you will eventually think of a good excuse as to why someone would get this easy answer wrong without it being their fault. Lol I don't see why people can't just own up to their own lack of knowledge and common sense.

I don't know about the American version, but the UK version of Millionaire, they purposefully go out of their way to avoid misleading people. To the point where, "there are no trick questions here, you just have to know the answer", is basically one of the catchphrases of the show. They've even given contestants second chances over questions that were deemed to be misleading in the past. Seems a bit scummy for them to have a question like this on the US version, if you ask me.

      It is not about caring about what BuzzFeed says but it is about how knowledgeable you are in every kind of topic that might be asked upon you. There are many things we don't know because even Einstein did not know the exact names of the future people who will appreciate his own work in science. We tell others what we know and we learn from others what we like to know. So even if you are in an Architecture field and is being asked about a simple Accounting question, you still have to answer that if you are inside a contest like Who wants to be a Millionaire. But hey that is a million dollar(or any currency) game show, why would they just give you that large amount of money by giving you easy questions with no tricks in it? So if you are intelligible person, you can see even a trick question answered in ease.
