So call this self indulgent or whatever you like but I have been shared this video so many times and other and thought I could clarify a few things:
    - I am not an actor, I'm a regular guy from Halifax, who now works in a law firm doing an open university degree.
    - I applied for the show, went for various background checks and everything else that comes with it.
    - I was the third person on fastest finger first so wasn't "chosen" to sit in the chair.
    - This question was my 12th question and as the next question shows I had the knowledge.
    - Yes it was an extremely fortuitous stroke of luck on that question, but so was the Lightning seeds question, as I was listening to them in the car on my way over, surely they didn't know that too?
    - As soon as I was in the green room the first thing told to me was that you are going to be questioned on this and people will claim cheating also, however the question setter is independent and doesn't even know who gets the questions, it just so happened to be that I was the first person on the week to get to that question.
    - Yes my prosthetic is bionic, yes the joke was funny, yes I laughed, no I'm not offended.
    - The tattoo was meant to break the walls, yes it's comedic, but as most disabled people can attest there is nothing worse than staring and not asking, the tattoo was meant as, if you can laugh then I'm comfortable about talking about it.

This reminds me a story of a Liverpool fan who lost a leg with a tattoo of the LFC badge with the "You'll never walk alone" moniker, but it was amputated in such a way that the word "alone" was removed, while leaving the rest still intact enough to be legible, so it just said "You'll never walk".

I remember a story once where a man was doing some work while on a ladder and he wound up falling off of the ladder and landing *FACE-FIRST* onto an up-turned power drill that drove the drill bit straight through his left eye, and yet according to the paramedics and doctors, he was actually *CRACKING JOKES* even with a freaking *DRILL BIT* lodged in his *SKULL* of all things! The guy literally lost his eye, and yet he was cracking jokes to the paramedics and doctors trying to treat his wounds and remove the drill bit from his skull (which they ultimately removed via the reverse of how it got lodged into his skull in the first place, by slowly rotating it the opposite way as the manually pulled it out). The fact that the guy was able to not only stay that calm but also *crack jokes* even with a drill bit lodged in his skull is absurd to me.

I'm very sorry for him that he lost a leg... it's obviously a terrible thing to happen. He won a lot of money because of it. No amount of money can bring back your organic body part.... but I'm so happy for him that he won such a large amount of money. This was fate in an odd sort of way.
I have a large amount of money, but it doesn't cure my early-onset arthritis (very painful) but having money does help with ongoing treatment/hospital bills/doctors visits etc.
Winning something in a show like this is always a confidence booster. I'm very happy for him.

    • @dissolution9843

This is something that most of us cannot imagine happening to us, and despite what happened to this man, he survived and he's even sort of 'making fun of' his other leg considering the engraving on the other leg. I believe that making this sort of fun no matter what is extremely important, so a person doesn't lost their mind. This man is giving a one fabulous example of living on and carrying on no matter what, and I wish this man all the very best, and I wish everyone the best in the New Year! Stay safe and stay positive no matter what! Be good, be healthy, and most of everything - be healthy in your mind! I hope that this regular TH-cam video will open eyes of so many people who are complaining about such a bullshit. This man went through something I'd never wish to myself and to you, and he's still here, playing the Millionaire, making fun of himself, despite everything! All the best to you! All the best to everyone!
