Perfect. I don't need 2 keys so thought to remove battery from one of them so that if car is getting stolen outside my house, that unused key fob won't give out any signal. Thanks, it worked!
The Emergency key actually isn't built into the fob anywhere. Kind of unique in that aspect. It's a completely separate key. Seems kind of odd that you'd be expected to carry an additional key when it could just be stored within the fob itself
@KeyFobRob my wife's 023 telluride apparently "went to sleep" when we left for vacation last week. We came back last night. She tried both fobs and they dont work. Kia is Mia. Nobody had any answers and we can't get into her car. Odd is the least of the words I'd use to describe not having a emergency key built into the fob. So as a side not to 023 telluride owners, dont let your telluride go 72 hours without starting it, or it will "go to sleep" and completely die.

You don"t need a screwdriver the opening is made to accept the KIA physical key.
