@@tinam2696eventually, it won’t start. I’m only familiar with Hyundai and they start with keeping you locked out of your car. Then you’ll notice you have to get closer and closer to the car to unlock it. Eventually you’ll have pull out the metal key to get in your car! Once that happens you have to put the fob directly on the push to start button to even crank up your car because the car won’t recognize that the key is in the vicinity. That’s usually when my lazy bones goes to replace it!

We were afraid prying it open after removing the insert would break it, but a cuticle pusher from my manicure case did the trick! Thankfully, I can now just go to the car parts store down the street to get a battery replacement instead.
I just stumbled upon your video and was able to replace my battery on my keyfob with no issues with your instructions. Instead of using a butter knife, I used my screwdriver that's meant for my glasses. It's thin enough to where I can safely pry open the key without damaging the device because I can be very headed handed. I'm so happy it works and tested it out a few minutes ago and my car lit up just fine. Purchased a 10 pack from Amazon a while back and this is perfect. I just need to do the same thing to my spare key. 😊 Thank you again for the awesome tutorial.

I bought one at the dollar store for a buck and change the battery in my key fob was very simple and easy watching this guy doing it the right way he certainly saved me some money
I cant believe it was so simple this whole time. Both my key fabs died around the same time and it was getting to the point I had to sit there and push the start button several time to get my car to start
I was having the same problem just replacing the battery and then I noticed some of the prongs that support the battery were bent down, so I bent them back up! Problem solved
Saved me $22 each time the battery needs changing and I accidentally washed the keys so you saved me as I was able to take it apart and dry and clean out the inside still works perfectly. Thanks so much everyone should hit the thumbs up!
