I just found you this afternoon, and am very glad I did! I'm sorry to hear about your mom, and must say, she has very good taste in quilts! I am going to be delayed, obviously, but I am definitely going to complete this new quilt along that you are doing, and the 2023 quilt as well. I really like the freshness and quiet loveliness of your style. I have definitely subscribed. You will be in my prayers.
Thank you so much for the prayers and kind words. Glad you are here!

You're right you never know And I'm so glad you were able to spend time with your mother. Her memory will always be a blessing and you have the quilt to remember Those feelings. This block is beautiful And I'm sure we'll make another Quilt To provide comfort as A tangible symbol of what making for others provides. Bless you and your family in your time of loss.

Hello I have just found your Chanel and I love this block . My son in law has been diagnosed with the exact same cancer, he is in his mid forties and has children. All we can do is show our love and support to them but I feel so helpless with it all. Sewing is my therapy at the moment. Sending you a big hug
I am so sorry to hear of your son-in-law. Being so young and with children has to be extremely difficult for you all. I am glad that sewing has provided you therapy during this trying time. Hugs back at you!
I am so very sorry to hear of your Mom’s illness. My only daughter was diagnosed with Stage 3 Glioblastoma in 2018. She actually beat it for several years, but a year ago it began rearing its ugly head yet again, then she had a stroke. She’s still fighting like a trooper, but it’s hard. She is totally immobile currently, but I’m betting on her this time around too. Thank you for taking the time to do this quilt along. Sewing is my escape from what’s currently happening in my world. It brings me joy and happiness, and reminds me that though the world can be ugly at times, I can still bring that same world some beauty.
I am so very sorry to hear of your daughter's diagnosis. Your ability to bring beauty back into the world through sewing is just wonderful! Thank you for sharing!
Hello sweet girl. So sorry you lost your mom. Love the block you shared. God bless you

It’s hard to lose a parent…but so good to hear you remembering special times with her, it does really help the grieving process. My dad was diagnosed with colon cancer but it had already spread throughout his body so he had 2 months before we said goodbye. Cancer of any kind is terrible.
Thank you for sharing & still finding the sew-jo to bring us another beautiful quilt project, it’s very appreciated!
So sorry about your dad :( Thank you for the kind words!

I also lost from glioblastoma. Caring for a loved is so difficult, but it also brings you closer. Condolence to your entire family.
Thank you so much. I am sorry for your loss as well!
I just found our channel today. Both my father and husband’s father (FIL) both had glioblastoma. One was primary and other was metastatic. Praying for you and your family. Big hugs. Excited to join your 2024 summer sew along. Also knowing your 2023 is still available, I may have to do that one as well. ♥️
I am so sorry for your father and father-in-law. Such a terrible cancer. Glad you are here though and sewing along!
So very sorry to hear about your mom. Prayers and hugs for comfort. Such a pretty block. Thanks for taking the time to bring us this tutorial even through all your adversity. 🤗🙏🤗🙏
Thank you so much!
I’m so so to hear about your loss. It’s beautiful to hear your quilt comforted your mom. I made my mom a fleece tied knot blanket about 20 years prior to her passing and didn’t remember about it. When my mom got sick with pneumonia right before Covid and had to be hospitalized she asked for it and had it with her at the hospital bed. We spoke about it and how many years she had it and it brought a huge smile to my heart knowing she wanted it with her and now I have it on my end of my bed with me;)
Thank you for reminding me of this special memory and the comfort something we made for someone can both comfort them and us when we need it the most.
I like to think she’s here with me sewing or enjoying time together ❤️💐
Thank you so much for sharing. How wonderful to know how special the blanket was to your mom :).
I got to care for my Mom as she battled cervical cancer. It's been 25 years and I think of her most days still. Thanks for sharing
I'm sorry for your loss. Mom's are so special :)
So sorry to hear about your mother. Hugs and prayers to you and your family.
My sisters ex mother-in-law came to live with my sister and her husband. Yes my sister and her husband took in the ex husbands mother. I knew the mother in law for over 50 years, when I found out she had cancer I made her a quilt. When I gave it to her she had me cover her with it and crawl in bed and held her while we cried. She slept under that quilt till her passing. It touched my heart that she treasured it so much.
Thank you so much for sharing. Her sister and husband were kind to help take care of her. Also another example of how a handmade quilt has brought someone comfort. Thank you!
I’m so very sorry for your loss. Mothers are so special. 🤗

Oh, Kathy, so sorry to hear of all you have been going through. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I lost my mother to a brain tumor 30 years ago. She taught me how to sew when I was only 6 years old . . . a LONG time ago! Whenever I sit down to sew I think of her and am so thankful. Sending love and hugs to you, and good to see you again! 🥰
Thank you so much Kerry! I too am sorry for your loss :(
❤❤❤❤ good to see you back!
Thank you!
My mom passed in 2011 from a Glioblastoma. She lived for a year after her diagnosis, which was a miracle. It’s a terrible cancer to suffer from. I’m sorry your mom has to experience this as well. I moved from Iowa to Alabama to help care for her that last year of her life. It was an emotional roller coaster for me, and I’m certain it was for her as well. Big hugs to you both. 🤗
I enjoy your videos and look forward to sewing along.
I am so very sorry for your loss. She was lucky to have you that last year. Hugs back at you!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom. My mom has been living with me for about 5-6 years this time. She was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia about the same time she came to live with me. I don't know how long I will have with her, so I just enjoy and appreciate every day. We jokingly poke fun at each other by acting like it's such a hardship to live together. When the reality is, we get along great. I pray for God's will to be done for her. I know I will not have too much longer with her. I will be sad and miss her when her time comes. However, I will also rejoice for HER that she gets to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by His grace! I will celebrate her life and be happy for her. I know when her time comes, she will be at peace. I wouldn't want to bring her back for anything in this world. My momma, my children and grandchildren are only on loan to us because God has given them to us to love, honor, protect, and teach them about God The Father, our Savior Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit. This world we live in is only temporary. Our real home is waiting for us when He calls us home. I pray for God to give you peace and comfort for you as you heal from the loss of your mom. ❤
Thank you so much for your prayers . How wonderful for you and your mom to have this time together. Thank you for sharing.
Just found your channel. Thank you!! Sorry to heard about your mom! Do you have a kit for this fabric used??
So glad you are here! Welcome!
So sorry about your mom.
It seems to touch all our families.
Did you say what size the block finishes?
Thank you so much. I don't think I did mention the finished size in the video, thank you for asking. The finished sized is 12".
I am so sorry but family always comes first. My father passed from the same cancer. It’s tough to watch a loved one with this illness.
I'm so sorry for your loss as well. Reading comments like yours helped me to better understand that this terrible cancer has impacted so many.
My husband also had glioblastoma Horrible cancer. So sorry.
