It's not uncommon once women reach 40. They accept that they are sex objects but no longer the object of desire. She's trying to make herself more attractive to a man who might want to spend time with a single mother. Her current dating pool is men 45-90 years old, so she's trying to show them that she is "serious" and a good partner.
I knew Whitney was super hot, so I thought I would listen to this interview with a comedian for fun and then BAM! This woman drops all of this deep introspection and I'm like 'marry me woman!' You can have deep conversations that are intelligent , compassionate with no bullshit with this woman.

This almost always happens to radical feminists who birth sons. I read your comment before I saw the video, I for sure already knew she had a son. That's what always happens.
This was the most reasoned conversation I've seen of Whitney. I'm glad her son has been the reason for this. Laughed a lot, though. She is one of the best comedians around.
One of the pieces of advice I most often give to my younger generation friends is that the hardest thing to do is to figure out your role in your own suffering. I've been at that point where I had to realize I was the common denominator in a pattern of abusive relationships--even though the guy's behavior was horrid, I either allowed it or created a situation where he presumed I'd allow it. Learning to set and defend boundaries is not an easy task!

Her level of self-awareness and introspection is so admirable. The ability to come outside of yourself and look around , without projecting your own beliefs/identity. To be able to say, "I know nothing".
I like the ending of this conversation as a summary - ' the truth is somewhere in between ' To be strong, we have to find this truth within ourselves in order to live at ease despite whom we choose to listen to or influence us. I love how Whitney validates the simplicity of moving someone's bin as a simple act of service/kindness. Humility when acted upon is powerful influence to keep life real. It's a tough world, we are all emotionally fragile and I don't mean to over simplify, but be kinder when you can, its a win win

Glad I kept watching.. the part about obligation and friendship is so true. Exhausting subconsciously feeling obligated to do things you don't want to do in life
Little correction - Adrenaline (epinephrine) doesn't metabolize into dopamine. The process goes vice versa actually: Dopamine is converted into noradrenaline (norepinephrine) by dopamine β-hydroxylase and then into adrenaline (epinephrine) by specific enzymes. This is crude oversimplification but you get the picture. Just pointing it out nothing more. 🙂 PS. This is the main reason why people coming down from stimulants become anxious and paranoid.
I really liked this conversation as the previous one with Withney . She is a very smart person. One would discard what she says because she is a comedian , but Peterson was right , the skill of comedy requires high level of Intelligence. It is nice to see this side of her. Idk who needs to hear this, but my friends and I all agree, women who are confident in their natural look, that don't wear makeup or change their bodies, are so much more attractive and beautiful than women who try to look perfect. You can't. Your perfect is the way you look naturally, it is the thing that makes you you, and changing it also changes your uniqueness. I don't know if it's rooted in a fear that people don't like you as you are, but I promise you that the right person will. That's how it works. And when you do find that right person, would you want them to see that mask you created, or would you prefer them to see the real you, the you that they'll hopefully grow old with? That's at least my opinion, would love to know if anyone disagrees, or your general thoughts
@@xKarenWalkerx bro... Please hang out around women more. Most of the women in my family and friend group don't wear makeup at all, ever... They don't even own breakup. Also I was referring to Botox and surgeries when talking about women changing their bodies, I disagree with the whole thing unless it's for medical reasons. And wdym women can't control their looks like men, maybe it's harder but of course they can. I'm just confused by your comment. And please don't assume I don't know how makeup looks.
@@xKarenWalkerx You are spot on. Good talk, appreciate the topics and points. Really love this channel… By the way, Whitney, there are a lot of people (including me) who relate and appreciate how fast you talk and branch off into every variable possible. It IS hard to summarize what IS a lot, and not lose people’s interest. Let alone stay on track yourself while trying to address every key point you can, with topics that do warrant in-depth conversation… In fact, it’s a developed skill. I’m always working on it… And, some of us have to put slow talkers at a fast speed TO be able to hear them out, and appreciate when we don’t, like with you. That IS a compliment in my book, haha... I think you do great!
Great conversation with Whitney! I love her wisdom and transparency. Very rare to see in women in my personal experience. Chris has such quality guest.
Absolutely love it ❤ my kind of person she is and the way you both connecting it’s beyond !!!! Awesome , thank you ❤ my healing is already in progress just listening to you guys
I've been wondering the same thing, especially with Gen Z and Alpha. So scared to try and do, because the fear of failure or rejection is too much to bear. We Gen X parents wrapped our kids in bubble rap and here's the result. In retrospect being an 80's latchkey kid taught us how to solve our own problems and lick our own wounds...as long as we made it out alive it was a good day.
To be honest her type was part of the problem. Media has influenced a generation of *people to not want kids *and to be hypersensitive to everything under the sun. But I'm glad she's made a change
This was amazing. Thank you Whitney for speaking about this. You exp, ained very well. It home and Youve just taught me so much about myself 😮 thank you for this conversation !!
It's pretty logical, I think it's combination of intelligence, wisdom. Because then person knows how little they actually know and know how many different ways they can be wrong (and has been wrong in the past). That makes them cautious to give answer if asked. It takes a humility which usually comes with wisdom. Being just intelligent can mean you are very smart but still quite one track thinker and cannot see various branches and options instead of the Only Correct Answer (tm) which you naturally know because you are always so smart.

Each time I hear Whitney Cummings long form I appreciate her more. Digging your guests lately Chris. Thanks for this one fam.
Ive always loved Whitney but phew this new version of her is top tier!!
Whitney Cummings' words have an unrivaled rate per clarity
Whitney... This helped me to check off a box thats been plaguing me for like 12 years... Your discussion about attachment absolutely nailed it. Thank you for laying it all out for us
loved the last podcast with Whitney but I loved this one even more. Was supposed to be working from home, but got hooked . . . .
Confidence and doing the work looks great on Whitney. This is the most beautiful Whitney I have ever seen and I’ve been a fan since the CC roasts. What a wonderful conversation.
listening to this podcast was my cardio equivalent. I'm not a huge fan of either of your delivery of information and it can make me cringe but you do make me think differently which I'm very grateful for. keep doing what you're doing
Great episode! Probably better content from her than from other guests who see themselves as specialists in some areas. Loved it
Whitney..you made me think about a lot of things when you were discussing co-dependence; great insights, thanks for that!
Wow this episode in particular is so good I have to watch it at least four more times!
...this is one of the most refreshing podcasts I have seen in a long time! I am so like you Whitney, but I never did anything with my life... Seriously though, I could not agree more. I am tyring to find my way, and along the way I feel like I can never be honest because of....well, these things you speak of! Thank you Chris and Whitney! (first name basis LMAO)
My favorite version of Whitney is when she’s on this pod.
Same 🙌
This was so helpful Whitney can put words on feelings so easily it’s art
I caught Whitney’s last visit and thought she was interesting. I watched today and am glad I did she has a lot to say and makes sense on how she got to the person she is today. Great show.
Glad I kept watching.. the part about obligation and friendship is so true. Exhausting subconsciously feeling obligated to do things you don't want to do in life
Cool to see a woman walk the middle line of feminism. Being likable and useful is the first step to being loved and needed.
Love Whitney!! She's the best podcast guest!
I went from loving her, to being annoyed by her, and now I love and respect her.
PS. This is the main reason why people coming down from stimulants become anxious and paranoid.
I absolutely loved the previous episode with her. Excited for this one as well!!
I really liked this conversation as the previous one with Withney . She is a very smart person. One would discard what she says because she is a comedian , but Peterson was right , the skill of comedy requires high level of Intelligence. It is nice to see this side of her. Thanks Chris for your awsome podcast.
Thank you for having Whitney back on! I always enjoy her insights. And I also love that she is ACA and is sharing the word.
What is ACA?
cracking video this Chris and Whitney. co dependency is everywhere and a huge problem in relationships. I believe mental health problems are only going to increase over next decade... especially personality disorders. So glad i lived through the 90s.
Honestly the best episode ever would use this as a recomendation for anyone who wants to start watching podcasts hella funny and informative Loved this episode
Whitney Cummings introspective accounts of single life as a successful female comedian to now the joys of Motherhood. Good for you!! Good show 👍
I was with my ex for over ten years and endured a lot of abuse mentally, little physical, and constant manipulation. He was a narcissist and I do share some of my story on social media. I
Do it because I want people to see what it can look like healing it can get real
Ugly but with it, that’s why I post it online. It’s hard for me but there’s been an inner calling for over two years telling myself to post. It’s been part of my journey to share in order to help
Love to hear about that nightly 10th Step work! It makes me so much more self aware.
Loved this...Could not stop watching...sooooooo good !!!! Chris, you and Whitney are so incredibly authentic and real ! Like a breath of fresh air ! Thankyou for the insights, the co dependent info, the personal stuff...all of it !!! A million times THANKYOU !!!!
And also, due to hormones and women being susceptible by at least 70% (whereas men is around 10%) to many more autoimmune diseases which affect a woman's weight and much easier to control men's weight due to their lack of getting autoimmune diseases like hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, hormonal imbalances, iron deficiency anemia, cortisol, etc.
@@lizardltd You are vastly mistaken.
@@kelseyk530 what am I so mistaken about
@@lizardltdjust pointing out that the first poster you replied to was most likely a woman, so that's from her experience or perspective.
Whitney Cummings has got to be the most likeable female comedian
It's fun to watch two good friends chatting about random stuff and sharing some interesting insights.
If you keep it in that context. Many make their words their gospel or truth, not just one person's life experience.
Loved this cast. Not many people are this open about life changes
I'm saving and downloading this video. Thank you so much Chris. Quite informative especially coming from Whitney she always has good pov on things. ✌️
Mom Whitney is the best Whitney.
Whitney, I see a lot of growth in you. This was a fantastic interview. Well done. Thank you for giving me some things to think about. All the best. ❤
Excellent discussion-especially the conversations around codependency
Great PODCAST ! I love how Whitney brought out your dark sense of humor … It’s the first time I saw that in you after watching you for years. Thank you for this episode 🙏 I really respect you
I was about to watch on Spotify then I saw that it was Whitney “The Eagle Feather” Cummings!
Uhhh I’m Gonna need a Visual on this one!
Thanks!!
This episode was incredibly productive and insightful!!
I feel like Whitney held up a mirror and pointed it at me
in the kindness gentlest way!😮😮😮
Mama Whitney is the best Whitney.
I've heard the term co-dependence, but never cared to check what it is. Whitney's explanation makes so much sense (if it's correct,I hope it is :))
Having listened to her in the past, on Rogan etc, I am very impressed by her development. 👏
1:20:20 this.
Felt like a shark in a school of fish. Coming from The #1 Headband Wearer gives me hope in overcoming.
However, i need the exterior stimulus to replace the pain within... woahman, the more i listen, the more i love Whitney.
Great conversation, both of you. Thanks for these insights
I need more of this. Immediately.
Such a great description of codependency. Very helpful
She’s cool, knowledgeable & funny. Great guest. Great episode 😎
Thanks! Less in show ads please! Your show is to good to be muddied up with commercials.
Thissssssss
To be honest her type was part of the problem. Media has influenced a generation of *people to not want kids *and to be hypersensitive to everything under the sun. But I'm glad she's made a change
Hey Chris, thank you for another great episode! Greetings from Belgium.
This was amazing. Thank you Whitney for speaking about this. You exp, ained very well. It home and Youve just taught me so much about myself 😮 thank you for this conversation !!
I found the discussion about codependence incredibly interesting and helpful. I'm glad I watched this episode.
Chris: "I'm chronically uncertain about everything."
Whitney: "Every smart person I think is."
Chris, so earnestly: "Oh, ok...Well... I.. yeah.. Maybe."
😂😂😂
😂 just got to that part, glad someone commented it
It's pretty logical, I think it's combination of intelligence, wisdom.
Got to say that was an exhilarating conversation ❤
Whitney, I really appreciated you opening up about your struggles. Thank you
Wow, what a great interview!
