It's not uncommon once women reach 40. They accept that they are sex objects but no longer the object of desire.
She's trying to make herself more attractive to a man who might want to spend time with a single mother.
Her current dating pool is men 45-90 years old, so she's trying to show them that she is "serious" and a good partner.

One of the pieces of advice I most often give to my younger generation friends is that the hardest thing to do is to figure out your role in your own suffering. I've been at that point where I had to realize I was the common denominator in a pattern of abusive relationships--even though the guy's behavior was horrid, I either allowed it or created a situation where he presumed I'd allow it. Learning to set and defend boundaries is not an easy task!

I like the ending of this conversation as a summary - ' the truth is somewhere in between ' To be strong, we have to find this truth within ourselves in order to live at ease despite whom we choose to listen to or influence us. I love how Whitney validates the simplicity of moving someone's bin as a simple act of service/kindness. Humility when acted upon is powerful influence to keep life real. It's a tough world, we are all emotionally fragile and I don't mean to over simplify, but be kinder when you can, its a win win

Little correction - Adrenaline (epinephrine) doesn't metabolize into dopamine. The process goes vice versa actually: Dopamine is converted into noradrenaline (norepinephrine) by dopamine β-hydroxylase and then into adrenaline (epinephrine) by specific enzymes. This is crude oversimplification but you get the picture. Just pointing it out nothing more. 🙂
PS. This is the main reason why people coming down from stimulants become anxious and paranoid.

I really liked this conversation as the previous one with Withney . She is a very smart person. One would discard what she says because she is a comedian , but Peterson was right , the skill of comedy requires high level of Intelligence. It is nice to see this side of her. Thanks Chris for your awsome podcast.

cracking video this Chris and Whitney. co dependency is everywhere and a huge problem in relationships. I believe mental health problems are only going to increase over next decade... especially personality disorders. So glad i lived through the 90s.

I was with my ex for over ten years and endured a lot of abuse mentally, little physical, and constant manipulation. He was a narcissist and I do share some of my story on social media. I
Do it because I want people to see what it can look like healing it can get real
Ugly but with it, that’s why I post it online. It’s hard for me but there’s been an inner calling for over two years telling myself to post. It’s been part of my journey to share in order to help

Idk who needs to hear this, but my friends and I all agree, women who are confident in their natural look, that don't wear makeup or change their bodies, are so much more attractive and beautiful than women who try to look perfect. You can't. Your perfect is the way you look naturally, it is the thing that makes you you, and changing it also changes your uniqueness. I don't know if it's rooted in a fear that people don't like you as you are, but I promise you that the right person will. That's how it works. And when you do find that right person, would you want them to see that mask you created, or would you prefer them to see the real you, the you that they'll hopefully grow old with?
That's at least my opinion, would love to know if anyone disagrees, or your general thoughts

@@xKarenWalkerx bro... Please hang out around women more.
Most of the women in my family and friend group don't wear makeup at all, ever... They don't even own breakup. Also I was referring to Botox and surgeries when talking about women changing their bodies, I disagree with the whole thing unless it's for medical reasons.
And wdym women can't control their looks like men, maybe it's harder but of course they can.
I'm just confused by your comment.
And please don't assume I don't know how makeup looks.

And also, due to hormones and women being susceptible by at least 70% (whereas men is around 10%) to many more autoimmune diseases which affect a woman's weight and much easier to control men's weight due to their lack of getting autoimmune diseases like hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, hormonal imbalances, iron deficiency anemia, cortisol, etc.

Good talk, appreciate the topics and points. Really love this channel… By the way, Whitney, there are a lot of people (including me) who relate and appreciate how fast you talk and branch off into every variable possible. It IS hard to summarize what IS a lot, and not lose people’s interest. Let alone stay on track yourself while trying to address every key point you can, with topics that do warrant in-depth conversation… In fact, it’s a developed skill. I’m always working on it… And, some of us have to put slow talkers at a fast speed TO be able to hear them out, and appreciate when we don’t, like with you. That IS a compliment in my book, haha... I think you do great!

I've been wondering the same thing, especially with Gen Z and Alpha. So scared to try and do, because the fear of failure or rejection is too much to bear. We Gen X parents wrapped our kids in bubble rap and here's the result. In retrospect being an 80's latchkey kid taught us how to solve our own problems and lick our own wounds...as long as we made it out alive it was a good day.

It's pretty logical, I think it's combination of intelligence, wisdom.
Because then person knows how little they actually know and know how many different ways they can be wrong (and has been wrong in the past). That makes them cautious to give answer if asked. It takes a humility which usually comes with wisdom.
Being just intelligent can mean you are very smart but still quite one track thinker and cannot see various branches and options instead of the Only Correct Answer (tm) which you naturally know because you are always so smart.
