Despite almost never actually reading the in-game books, I do wish they were longer at times. It's fun to just quickly glance through from time to time. Pictures would be nice too.
@@ABardsBallad I remember as a kid back when the game just came out, I didn't know any english so I just made up what stories the books told. I still haven't actually read any of them fully all these years.

One book they apparently overlooked for Oblivion was Varieties of Faith, a book that details just about every major Tamerielic god. I haven't found it in Oblivion (the game not the realm) even tho it's one I like to skim the most. I figure it's probably because some of the lore is outdated, but that's one of the things that makes ES so unique: it's so much like real life with all the differing accounts of events and differing takes on each god. So cool.
Great video! I used to skip over in-game books, but started to read them more often in recent years. I found your channel a few weeks ago. I love all the quality Oblivion lore content.
I just subbed to your channel. Between your channel and Dark Lore Dash you are one of the few channels doing decent Oblivion content on TH-cam at this time. I think if you take the time to do a bit more research and also try and learn some things from the more established lore channels you can take your channel to the next level. Keep up the good work. Also I'm not familiar with that Frontier book but we do know that the Breton race is a mixed Elven and Human race. When the Aldmeri began to spread across Tamriel they encountered the Nedic humans in High Rock. Rather than enslave them like the Ayleid Elves did in Cyrodiil the Direnni Elves ruled over them as a lower class. Many Direnni nobles took dozens of Nedic concubines and the newly born mixed race people grew into a new middle class. Then eventually the new Breton mixed elven human population grew far greater in number to the Derenni who slowly over time lost their holdings to the ever growing Breton population leaving them left with only the Isle of Balferia. The location of the Adamantine Tower. The first structure built in all of Nirn where Trinimac tore out the heart of Lorkhan. BTW Bro Divayth Fyr's last name is pronounced Fear.
I read a couple books in Morrowind that stuck out to me. I don't remember their titles atm, but they went like: 1. A thief was dared to steal a key from a vampire, or escape its lair, or pick an un-pickable lock, or smth, but it ends with the key to the lock hanging around the vampires neck. Interesting read. 2. A wizard student falling in love with a statue thinking it was his friend's mom and learning how to resurrect it. He was successful in bringing it back to life, but at a terrible cost. That one may have been a 2 book combo I think
Not sure its in Oblivion but my favourite book is the Begger Prince, a great story of a man becoming "powerful" after Namira gives him her Daedric "gifts".
Do one with all of them, for all games, I will watch them all , and then watch again sporadically from time to time for years to come, and then I won't have to read them to my friends they can just watch the vids and I'll send them there!!!
I will never not be impressed that any item you see on the shelves is an individual object that can be interacted, and not just visual clutter. Oh, yeah, the real Barenziah series are my favourite books.
TH-cam guy: mentions there are hundreds of books in-game* TH-cam guy: only talks about five of them Me, having read the title, yet still surprised it only mentions five: I can't believe he's only gonna mention five!!
Top 5 oblivion books to read:
1. Mithic Dawn Commentaries #1
2. Mithic Dawn Commentaries #2
3. Mithic Dawn Commentaries #3
4. Mithic Dawn Commentaries #4
5. Lusty Argonian Maid Vol. 1
Despite almost never actually reading the in-game books, I do wish they were longer at times.

I agree! I wish some of them had a little more content to them, and illustrations would be cool to see!

I would like to hear some of those stories! I bet they wild lol
I look forward to you videos so much. Please keep it up man. Love what your doing it makes me happy.
I wonder why The Lusty Argonian Maid was not included in this video or at least as a honorable mention. Truly puzzling.
I've heard others say the same.

One of my favourites is a book called Immortal Blood. Cool little story on vampires
I’ve had that book recommended before to me actually! I’ll have to give it a read!
@ABardsBallad It is so damn good. You can find it at the bandit camp opposite of the sewers or just look it up online
And it's writer is in skyrim funny enough
Pretty sure the Song of Pelinal had at least one picture in it.

Love reading and same goes for games 😊 much to the annoyance to some people, lag behind in eso because I found a library 😂
It’s really cool how much added lore and information we get by just reading the books in game! It’s honestly changed my perspective!
Your one of the best channels I’ve discovered this year. Keep up the good work!

I know both books, but can only remember the name of the second (a two-part series, as you correctly remember): Palla I & II
Not sure its in Oblivion but my favourite book is the Begger Prince, a great story of a man becoming "powerful" after Namira gives him her Daedric "gifts".
It is, I think that's the game I first read it in.
Recommend: Palla
goofy ah plot twist
Yes if you do a part 2 a really good read I don't remember where I found it but "a game at dinner." Has ties to events from Morrowind actually

I do like a Book of Daedra 😊
As always, another banger man ❤
I really liked the Ruins of Kemel-Ze
