AnneMarie, you have a gift! Your ability to teach and share excellent ideas is outstanding.
I want to thank you for your sensational work!
I'd say that you are more than an English teacher. You are a coach (English life coach). You make us thinking and encourage us to become better every single lesson that you share with us.
Thank you very much for all the lessons (I always recommend your work for friends).
If one day you come to New Zealand, let's go for a coffee :)
    Cheers,
    Renata Mondego

I can relate these tips with my conversational adult class a year ago. I was super nervous in our first class. I spoke in front of 30 more students. I felt like my ears are burning. But what I did was, I asked their names individually and gave a handshake to make comfortable with them and smiled. So I went through all those fears and nervousness. Later than sooner, keep talking in front of a large audience. I boast my confidence. It just needs lots of practice and gets used to it...By the way, thanks a bunch for these amazing tips. It really helps those people out there especially if they are introvert people. Greetings from Korea. Wish you all the best.

So glad this was helpful to you. And definitely, us introverts have a harder time because we naturally avoid being in front of people. But it is possible to feel confident and to present well!

    Anne Marie,
Even tough many people express (and unconsciously think) in negative terms, saying "I can't" for an instance.
I have made a conscious effort for years now, to select the appropriate words for the occasion, and every time it is adequate, I use positive connotation and empowering words such "I CAN".
Thanks a lot for sharing all of your knowledge openly on these platforms.
    Blessings !

Thank you for the good summary!!! I started teaching a few weeks ago as a teaching assistant. While I know it's natural to be nervous and I should learn from experience, this video is definitely giving the direction. For example, I know practice is important, but always wondering how to make practice effective. And tips here (2'15''), like practice out loud, record yourself, are so practical and helpful. Thanks and looking forward to more content like this. :) Could you or anyone share how long it takes to prepare or practice for a 10 mins public speaking? For me, it may take at least two hours to practice if I will not use notes.

Speak Confident English Hi AnneMarie thank you for your reply. I am an upper intermedia level student, and talking in front of an audience is not easy, even when you know you still have grammar and pronunciation mistakes. I was super nervous, but at the end it was very rewarding because everyone understood what I said. And I consider it is not about perfection, it’s about communication. In the future I would like to talk fluently in front of a big audience. 🙏Yesterday, when I saw this video I said: ohh Annemarie read my mind, she hits the spot, because every video you have uploaded has been really useful for my learning process. Thank you so much 😊

❤️❤️❤️Wow, Lina Maria, I'm so proud of you. It takes real courage to talk in front of an audience in your own language... and you did it in English! That's so impressive. Congratulations on doing something really hard and brave. Plus, I love what you said about: "it is not about perfection, it's about communication." You're absolutely right! And that's exactly what happened when you said everyone understood you. 😊 You were successful in communication. And keep going - you will continue to be more confident and more fluent as you go forward.

How to remember Variety of vocabulary during public speaking so that we can choose easily

    • @Speakconfidentenglish
      @Speakconfidentenglish  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

It all comes down to practice, practice, practice. I don't recommend memorizing your speech because it can sound like you're reading (and if you don't forget then you have no options to keep going). Instead, practice as much as you can and be sure you practice out loud.
Even better, follow my system of recording yourself, listening to it, evaluating it, and repeating it. This is the surest way to refine your vocabulary and be more flexible in the moment.
