    I was wondering that when mentoring an U18 player in the senior team, do they still train with the youth team or the senior team? If they then train with the senior team they won’t be getting trained by the coaches with high ‘working with youngsters’ won’t this affect their attribute development?
    Thank you for the insightful videos.

    A good Coaching staff is useful, but a thing overlooked is that the player needs to play in first team games, but needs a rating of above 7 to fulfill that potential. Anything below will most likely hurt the players potential. They’ll go from five star to 3 Star. Ps Zenit in Russia is definitely the most fun you’ll have in a save

    physical training is important to include for training youth, thats the biggest increase in attributes from the ages 18-21. Thats what you should focus on.

    • @fmscout
      @fmscout  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Physical attributes develop naturally. This is for youth teams (u18s). Without a single physical session, your u18s physical attributes will still develop rapidly

    • @johndeluca7425
      @johndeluca7425 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Usually if they are too old for u18s and not good enough to play in the first team or come on as a sub, u should loan them out

    • @AurioDK
      @AurioDK 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The U23 team is only slightly useful if they are playing in a league ... and that´s only slightly, friendly matches won´t do much. The U23 team is however extremely handy for your first team players to gain some fitness if they have been out with an injury. Like it´t already stated, loan your 19+ players out ... those you don´t intend to use.

    Thanks for the vid! Question: a while back you mentioned in a vid to not train roles, but stick to training positions, and tailor attributes by using additional focus, which seems to work well with the correct training; did your opinion change on this matter? Cadoni also recently still mentioned training positions instead of roles until the age of 23 in the description of his schedules; opinions seem to differ a bit. If you don't set a specific role, players still get trained, based on the position they last played in within the tactic; black box for me is how this relates to the different forms of training blocks; general ("dark blue") training blocks target attributes in a general sense, across the board, not limited by roles; other types of individual training specifically target attributes within the assigned roles of individual training (usually secondary units, match prep related). Question is though if this secondary individual training is "wasted" if no specific role is selected in individual training, or instead follows the (implied) role of the tactic behind the individual position training? I generally prefer a combination of general training and 4-5 match prep blocks. Keep up the insightful work!

I would like to check them and try to learn something from them like I did with the main squad tactics you had, I've created my own version of them thanks to yours... I try not to copy but actually learn from everything available.

    So on my 1st Fm21 save with Man United i have been trying something a bit different, i do all the coach tips you have recommended before with the personalities and being a team like United its pretty easy to get 4+ star ratings in all catagories at 1st/U23/U18 teams as well as having the correct personalities, so we all know Physicals develop first then Technical then Mental so for my U18 training 75% of the schedule is Physical based and 25% Technical tho always taking into account not to make the schedule to taxing, if a player is already a bit of a Physical beast i will add an additional focus to other weak points but if they are lacking any Physical attributes i will hit that with additional focus, then once they age 19 move them to the U23 which is a 50/50 split of Physical/Technical training and look more to the Technical/Mental attributes to improve with additional focus, once they turn 22/23 move them to the 1st team where the training is 50/50 Technical/Mental, and a little more specified to certain attributes, i don't do any Physical training for 1st team is simply no need as players of that age aren't as likely to develop much more Physically plus if you are a top team and have multiple cup comps along with your league your match schedule is going to be hectic and don't need the added Physical training on top, my aim is to specifically target the right areas of growth at the right time of their career, 1 thing this has definitely proven to me is that Mentals can naturally develop at any time as at my U18/U23 level we are hardly doing any mentals at all but they are still growing, this approach is definitely working well for me :) even if i have a wonder kid who i want to be using but is below 22/23 i still leave them in the U23 but i just add them to the match day whenever i want to use them that way they are not actually being promoted to the 1st team that way they are still in the U23 units getting that level of development that i want them to get plus 1st team football experience.

    anyone know how to get flair to improve?

  • @backwardsnation
    @backwardsnation 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I gave my centerbacks "libero-attack" for individual training in order to train all of those attributes. I also decided to do the same for some of my DM/CB players instead of giving them "DLP" individual training because of all those attributes. So what I do is to those players, I give "libero-attack" and extra focus for "endurance" which also trains "workrate" attribute. What do you think?
    Also, when I go to Under 18s > training > coaches, I see that my U23 coaches and some of my senior team coaches (me the head coach, fitness trainers and goalkeeping trainers) all apply to the U18 teeam training, giving each category a 5-star (I manage Man City). Do I still need good U18 coaches, I mean I get them but the board only allows me to get 2 coaches.

    • @paulnorrisjunior548

      I tend to buy very cheap, older players, with the right attributes, like Jagielka/Quagliarella/Parolo, and move them to my U18’s and mentor them

    • @jonnygriffiths7668
      @jonnygriffiths7668 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@paulnorrisjunior548 yeah mate I get that. I just think my 1st team coaches are better than my youth coaches and that my players will benefit from that and generally training with my first team. I only do it for the better youth players

    • @dannygeerinckx
      @dannygeerinckx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You don't have to promote them to first team to get them in mentoring groups, you can also put them in training groups for the main squad (training -> groups -> U19 -> gk/def/att). Only problem with that method is that your ass man needs to assemble the mentoring groups, you can't assign the youngsters manually. Either way they get less training than they would have in the youth training... I tend to keep them in the u19's until they are 18 to benefit most from training, and then start mentoring them in the main squad training.

      @@fmscout I thought that as well, but this has come from SI developers, up until 18 it's all about training, coaches and your facilities. Blew my mind when I found that out but look into it yourself it is very much true.

    • @fmscout
      @fmscout  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@andythompson1954 There are contradictions because another person from SI says something different haha In my experience, and all of our wonderkid videos are examples, when playing them their attributes tend to rise rapidly. If we left them in the u18s for first season, they wouldn't have developed so rapidly in the first season. But what comes with this is injuries, plenty of times during the woonderkid tests, the youth player got a very bad injury

    • @andythompson1954
      @andythompson1954 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fmscout I have done the opposite, and left players in under 18's and let them follow a natural process of going through the squads at ages, start giving the top prospects game time at late 17 turning 18, loan out average prospects at late 18/19, had way more progress with players lol, I think the developers like to keep us guessing ;)

  • @paulnorrisjunior548
    @paulnorrisjunior548 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’ve found that when training using a different role, than they are more suited to, their training rating drops and the speed at which their attributes grow decreases.
    So for example, if I have a creative centre mid, who I want to be more well rounded and eventually a box to box, training them as a ball winning midfielder will improve their defensive attributes, but their training rating is lower and the rate of growth is also lower.
    Any tips?

    • @jasonsaunderson6028
      @jasonsaunderson6028 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi hope this helps. I find role training does work as will cover more attributes but you have to take into account a few things.
      First does that player have the right skill set to grow this attributes. Does this contradict what he likes to do. If his a flair player then work rate may never improve. If his 5ft 5 his heading won't improve.
      2nd game time and rest. This took me a while but really utilise the physio report and change intensity of training as if getting game time but double intensity this will slow down progress.
      Thirdly as rdf said pick training that allows them to focus on individual roles rather than team training. Mainly do this in u23 and u18.
