LS Swapped 1965 Scout 800 Build from IH Parts America

The latest build to come out of the IH Parts America shop is this very early 1965 Scout 800 that is painted in a Sage Green from Volvo. Like many of our builds we put in a brand new GM 6.2L LS3 with 430 horsepower and 430 foot pounds of torque and a 6L-80E transmission. An Atlas transfer case with 3.8 gears splits the power to the front Dana 30 axle and rear CPT Ford 9" axle. A custom CPT suspension with a CPT Reverse Shackle kit and Bilstein shocks hold the axles in place. Lots of custom interior body work was performed so that the front seats could recline and the rear seat could fit 3 people. A custom CPT rollcage was fabricated with three point seatbelts to keep the occupants safe. LizardSkin was sprayed all over for noise and heat control. There's a back-up camera, Alpine stereo and sound system and so much more to this build you just have to watch this video to see all the cool things we did to it.

Depends on type of build and amount of modifications. $50k doesn't pay for all the parts so triple that amount to start.

I putting a LS3 in my 75 CJ-5. Would you stick with the automatic transmission or go manual?

That is user preference. Most prefer automatics but some like myself prefer a manual transmission. - Jeff
