We are very proud of this truck, it turned out excellent. We hope you enjoy!
Very happy to see you guys didn’t LS swap it. Nothing wrong with the LS, just way over done. I rebuilt a 345 for a buddy, got the heads milled and custom pistons, 9.5-1 compression and mildly ported heads, Comp 218@050 cam and MSD Atomic efi. Runs very good. It’s in a Scout 800A.
Big guys break those Mustang seats. Ask me how I know. 🙄
Yap, sorry to say but the ls is such a better option, for one it’s way easier to get parts for, more power, better fuel efficiency, more available, easier to add mods too, starts right up any time any temp, not to even mention how much support and help you could get if you get caught chasing ghost
That is a great looking Scout. Great job!
Why did i not see this in time? My scout was torched 30 years ago it was a 79. It killed a part of my soul watching it get towed away. Till this day it brings tears to my eyes. I let it go in my mind that i would probably never have the opportunity to have one again. Nice job guys! She's a beauty!!❤
The amount of detail y’all put into these rigs always leaves me smiling!
Wow!! Amazing work on this build, Riley!
these and old Bronco s are awesome!
The flat/full glass on the cover is MUCH better!
Awesome build
Already grabbed myself an early birthday gift, you guys did a killer job on this one
Nice job!! If I won this Scout I would keep it for the rest of my life. I kick myself for ever selling my 1972 Scout II. I loved that truck. This one is even better looking than mine was, I love it. I would give it a good home. 😎
The interior is just wow. Really looking forward to this giveaway 😄
Awesome! Great truck , good job!
I've never noticed these rigs very much but, I really like the break down of it and it's very nice! Well done!
Immaculate job! So excited to see the giveaway video!
One of your finest builds!! Looks great!
Great build on that one guys!
That stance🔥. There’s not a bad angle!
Dream truck
Simply amazing!
Glad you think so!
Ive got a 72 International 1600 this would look really nice sitting next to
I knew you were in NV just by the power line road and those mountains. Grew up in Vegas. Nice truck.
Looks great! Would look even better in Alaska!
Love it!
I live how you guys find all the standard vehicles.
Once again, you nailed it !
I want to pack my camping gear, tow my zodiac and head to the islands in this honorable rig.... let this Scout be the one!
My dream vehicle 😍 I've got to try and win one!❤
23:21 I noticed it in the opening video, but it’s really prevalent here. Why is the back left tire wobbling? Bent rim bent axle?
It had a bent axle shaft, didn't realize it until after filming and saw the wobble! We've already fixed it with a brand new shaft, bearing seal and studs. 👍👍
Lots of good eagle eyes on here that don't miss much.
BY FAR BEST GIVEAWAY YET! Might have beat the honcho out for my fav 😉
I probably wouldn't even bother entering for this one- it's mine.
love it ❤👌👍!!
This thing is sweet!!
The video of the Jeep you’re talking about with the body popping off was an RC car 🤣
I used to have an 80 Scout II and had to get rid of it. One of the saddest days of my life.
What brand or model # are those retractable running boards?
Ahh, I missed it.
Was this V8 or Inline 6?
My bank wont be happy with how much im gunna spend tryin to win this one
I might have missed it, but does this have the factory TH400 trans? I really dig the look! Likely worth the winner (me?) installing a vacuum pump to fix the brakes. Its a super common thing with bigger cams.
It has the factory 727 trans!
@@hodsonmotors Oh, only the AMC engine versions had the TH400. Forgot the IH engine has the 727. Still a good trans!
We still may add a vacuum pump. I'm gonna daily it for the next few weeks while my daily goes under the knife. If it bugs me, vacuum pump it will get.
Warn locking hubs?

What's the transmission?
Damn!
👍
New to the channel! If I am subscribed to you all (the monthly 10 dollar subscription)does that automatically enter me into the drawing?
Yes!
What year is this?
Its a '73
These 345’s run forever. 200k miles easy. Downside is 8-10mpg at best 😬.
I agree with you thank God they did not put an LS engine in it my God they put an LS in everything now how unoriginal can you get
"Better than Amp steps" that's not saying much, Amp power steps are straight garbage
I mean, there's literally 3 options on the market. So when people are looking for steps, they'll remember this 🤷♂️
@hodsonmotors
GoRhino E1
Westin Pro E
Amp Research Power Steps
Rough Country
If I must have running boards, just give me some Luverne Grip Steps, none of those powered steps hold up to Minnesota winters
@@hodsonmotors What model steps was it easy to convert?
@@hodsonmotors Which model Rough Country power running boards did you modify? Thanks! Beautiful build. Super clean.
