Their live performances are almost 95% better then the studio versions. Now you have to watch Live Aid from Wembley 1985. It's considered the best set ever in Rock history. There were 75,000 people at Wembley stadium and 1.9 billion people watching all over the world.
The incomparable Roger Taylor was/is a beast on drums and vocals. Please react to Rogers solo I'm In Love With My Car from this same concert. His voice just slices through your soul ❤️👑🎸🎤🎹🥁
Young Freddie has long hair and no moustache. He's 35 years old here and sadly only has 10 more years to live. Nearer the end you might see him with a "scruff" beard, which hides the Karposi lesions on his face, but in 1981 he was in his glorious prime, which is how we love to remember him. ❤❤
Exactly ten years (depending on if this performance was 1st or 2nd night of filming). It's beyond criminal that the film makers discarded the unused performances. RIP
If you haven't yet, please react to their performance of "White Queen", live at Hammersmith Odeon. It's a good example of a very young Freddie's talent, and the instrumental interlude in the middle of the song is beyond amazing. I'm really enjoying your enthusiastic reactions to my favorite band!
Love your reaction. This is my favourite performance of this song partially due to Roger Taylor's backing vocal. You should watch his timpani solo at this concert. Roger has a fantastic voice and takes lead vocal in I'm In Love With My Car. If you really want to see young Queen watch Live at the Rainbow 1974 and Live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1975. They were great from the beginning!
Four musicians at the peak of their powers creating magic together. The band were so tight live.
GOAT. FOUR MUSICAL GENIUSES in same band. Lucky us 🥰✌🏼👑
Love watching people discovering Roger Taylor’s voice. 😊. I was a teenager in the 1970s when Queen first appeared and they never ceased to amaze.
You’re reaction was adorable. Love from Canada 🍁
At Milton Keynes, Freddie sings this with more blues style. It’s really fantastic.
This is hands down the best live performance arguably ever. Perfect in every way. You could not get it to sound better even after months of studio production.
Please do "White Queen" Live at the Odeon Hammersmith 1975 🙏
Absolute GOAT
If you watch again, when Freddie gets up the second time to get the crowd going he notices that Brian May has a small technical hitch with his guitar, so Freddie fills it out a bit longer till he sees Brian has sorted it out.
@@juliewaters-sr4kt love this comment. I legit never noticed before that. Had to watch it a second time to see it play out. Brilliant.
Love watching people see this for the first time. The joy on your face says it all. When this concert was in IMAX in January, I was thrilled to experience Queen.
I was lucky to see Queen back in 1978 on the Jazz tour. I laughed when you remarked how young Freddie looks here. You need to dive into the 70s when the whole band had the long hair and amazing costumes. And you spoke what I've often said: You may not get to see Queen, but we are so lucky to have all the videos, interviews, concerts. It's not the same, but at least it's something. Just my opinion, but I would encourage you to watch/listen to the studio versions of songs first. Freddie was a perfectionist in the studio and every song is so amazing. But mainly because you hear it as we did first in the day on the radio. Then you can see how they didn't just recreate that onstage. They changed songs up. Freddie said if they just did them as they did in recording that people might as well just stay home and listen to the records. So glad you're enjoying "old" music. The best music with no auto-tune or backing tracks. Just pure talent. ✌💖😃
Thanks, Pam.. I was privileged to see Queen with Freddie three times between 1978-1980.. teenager first time... they were all amazing performers.. I do agree that some songs should be first listened on the album.. like "Love of my Life".. written for piano and incredible harmonies.. but later known for the live versions...still, hearing these in any kind of version is amazing...
How can you not be blown away by this performance? It is so good! Thank you.
To get to know the Queen's music is better late than never, and now you follow your dad's steps with this journey. This is one of the greatest live performances ever.
The greatest live prefomance of all time. Period❤
This is a great one, one of their best live performances 👍😎
Props to Roger Taylor on drums and vocals ❤❤❤❤
The look on your face says it all ❤❤❤❤btw you have beautiful hair
If you want to see more of Roger drumming and singing, checkout I'm In Love With My Car from this same Montreal concert. Roger sings lead on it as well as some intense drumming.
Definitely, it's short - but amazing!
I came here to suggest this!
I watched the Montreal concert in 4k UHD on Disney+ last night. Phenomenal concert ❤❤❤❤❤❤
just perfection...
A spectacular live show!
This performance always makes me cry. You can tell Freddie wrote this song because he pours his entire soul to it. He directly talks to God about why he's so lonely with nobody to love. 😭 RIP A LEGEND
Apparently it was a homage to Aretha Franklin. It certainly has soul 💜 -x-
Great reaction. Thank you. My favorite Queen song.
They put a smile on your face, almost the entire time.
Queen was an amazing band, everything about them is unforgettable. Great reaction.
Freddie was 35 here. Check out young Queen and a 28 year old Freddie in 1974 performing early metal, "Stone Cold Crazy":
th-cam.com/video/nBKJjRwvEsI/w-d-xo.html
Metallica covered it and won a Grammy in 1991.
Thanks!
Yes Brother we should all stand up an applaud the geniuses best of all timers that are Queen!!
Boom
Right between the eyes ❤
Awesome stuff 😊
Queen rocks
Greetings from Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦
This entire concert was shown on IMAX screens back in January, and it will be shown on Disney soon. It's really freaking good. Highly recommended.
love this performance by everyone. Freddie looks and moves great on the stage.
Love your excitement at hearing what real musicians were back in the day. You are one of the few who play the entire song and then comment at the end. Bravo!
Another great queen reaction Shane. Keep it going!
R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU
I Loved you reaction!! Thank you so
Much for not pausing. This was Freddies gospal song With Aretha Franklin in mind, he loved her
May your day be filled with joy and magic. Your reactions always make my day better. Thank you
So glad you love this. It’s one of my favourites.” Now I’m here” live at Wembley is another great one. Great reaction. 👍🏾😊
Thank you for that fabulous reaction!!! Seeing your appreciation made me smile so much, and I’m glad you acknowledged Roger’s fantastic vocal contribution, too!
Looking forward to the next one. 😄
This was Freddie's favourite song, he considered it to be better than Bohemian Rhapsody.
And my favorite song and it is better than Bo Rhap. But all Freddie’s songs are AMAZING 🥰💛
so do I
He was 31 or so there, born 9/4/46. They were magical together, made legendary music, innovative, everyone contributes so much. The greatest band, a best vocalist ever, everyone had great pvicals to help achieve those awesome harmonies. Roger’s falsetto is a thing to be hole. Freddie is just amazing. Brian in that guitar!!! John on base, so sure how shy he was. But a gemuis with electronics. Well, Ty.
Roger has an awesome voice. Check out Killer Queen/I'm in Love with my car live from Montreal. Great reaction
Also for your information, Roger wrote some great songs... As did they all.
Love your reactions the way you go from air drums to air guitar, your great.
You will love a song Liar from the Rainbow 1974, they are all in their 20s , you'll be able to see that they were super talented from the beginning.
I've been a fan since they formed in 1970. I still listen to them every day. Loving this journey. Blessings from England x
🎉 yeah man LOVE AN MISS YOU FREDDIE MERCURY RIP BROTHER❤🤘🎚️🔥💯🥇👑👑👑👑
Great reaction your in for a great queen journey
❤❤❤❤❤
What a loving response to Queen! You have a sweet heart! They are timeless talents! Much Love and Light to all!
Thank you 😊 much love 💜
Yeah, most of us didn't grow up listening very good music, but luckly, we are able to discover them now. And the fact both Roger and Brian still play (and absolutely rock) as Queen in their 75+, is absolutely heartwarming (and the fact Adam Lambert, their guest singer, is an absolute brigadeiro com beijinho, very sweet, talented, and a wonderful man, I'm very glad Brian and Roger found him, didn't see them that happy in years). And even considering we can't help but miss John, he's happy living his dream life with his wonderful family, so, we feel happy for him too.
And Freddie lived how he wanted to live. Never stopping, having a good time and rocking the entire world.
If you want to see more of Roger's, I would suggest for you to react to "I'm In Love With My Car", the B-side of Bohemian Rapsody (yeah... I know...The story about this is actually hilarious, Roger hid inside a cabinet and refused to get out until his bandmates agreed to put it there. Roger himself never said it's untrue, sooooo...). Everyone else disliked it, so, he did every single instrumment by himself. He actually played lead guitar and sang for The Cross, and played other instrumments on both his solo career and Queen... Like you playing Brian's guitar solo and Roger's drums at the same time in this video. I laughed hard when I saw that, because I myself play both and do that a lot too!
Loved your reaction. Please, do more Queen, I swear you'll like it!
Thank you for the suggestions. And the wonderful comment. Put a smile on my face. I just love music and I've always loved playing air drums and guitar. Got to live vicariously because I missed my opportunity to try and become a gigging musician. Still love playing drums but live in a small town now. Can't wait to see that song everyone been recommending "I'm in love with my car" 😊
Excelente reacción y gracias por los subtítulos. Saludos desde Ciudad de Guatemala en Centro América, casi desde el otro lado del mundo.
Great reaction. ✌🏼🌷
This has to be my fave reaction to this video 😍 you face throughout, just fab! Playing along too, i was smiling along with you 😊
😊 thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it
I was surprised when I saw you were reacting to this. I thought "Wow! You haven't seen this yet? Oh Boy!!" My description of this particular performance is that it's like the combination of a religious experience and the best sex you ever had. It leaves you speechless and breathless. I'm really looking forward to your upcoming Queen reactions -- there's so much amazing music for you to get lost in! Dive into a few of the documentaries, too. They're pretty wonderful. (P.S. You're younger than my kids!)
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Please do yourself a favor and watch the Milton Keynes version. It's my favorite version of this song.
Amen … even better ✌🏼🥰
Even I, born 1973, sure grew up with hearing Queen on the Radio, yet i only started to really appreciate them around 1990 - and then Freddie died... 😭
So, do not feel bad for not having paid attention to their stuff. 😅
Wat 'n lekker reaksie! groete uit Nederland 👑🔥🎸😉
Baie Dankie, bly jy het dit geniet😊
You should react to Killer Queen/Im in Love With My Car medley from this same concert to hear Roger singing lead great reaction xx
My favourite ❤ thanks please check out Who wants to live forever live at Wembley 1986 😊
now you know why your parents adored freddy AND queen😅 we love freddy and queen❤
First time live? RIGHT! Next up is the whole live set from Live Aid 1985 (20 plus minutes) at Wembley Stadium. NOW! 🙂🙂
I have done that reaction. Was the first Queen reaction I done on the channel. This was my first time hearing this song live. I kind of remember it from the past (the song) just never seen them do it live. 😊
Great reaction. This was Queen's homage to Aretha Franklin 💜 -x-
Didn't know that. Thank you for letting me know 💜
Thanks, Shane! this is an awesome performance.. the entire concert.. you are clearly a drummer, so you must appreciate Roger Taylor, right?... the whole band was on fire... hope you listen & react to more!...
This is music. No autotune. Can tell you love music as much as I do. I can dance to anything, I feel the beat. Glad you enjoyed it. You would probably like Bob seger, or some of guns and roses songs. Brad delp from Boston has vocals even better than freddie.
You cannot witness this - because Freddie died and John has retired from the musicbusiness. But if you are lucky you CAN witness Queen - Roger and Brian - now with Adam Lambert singing - not as Freddie but totally capable to sing the whole repertoire. They have a pianoplayer, a bass player and an extra drummer as well. They still sell out their concerts world wide - but they are in their mid seventies so maybe they will stop before long. Try Who wants to live forever 2016 on TH-cam - that will give you an idea of what it is like now. - You have a new subscriber 😍
Enjoyed your reaction. Greetings from Jozi.
Thank you! 😃 I'm glad you enjoyed. I use to stay in Jozi not to long ago.
Love how you enjoy this...amazing, right!!? Nobody like Freddie.
I was born in 1963
Same as my mother (:
@@ShaneAlanGower we had the very best music in our generation
Apart from live aid I don't think you'll better this one... Shout out to Roger Taylor's drumming and vocals, totally blo**y brilliant ❤❤❤❤
You should listen to Sultans of Swing by the Dire Straits live from Alchemy. Another great live performance.
You will love it guaranteed.
Thank you, I'll add it to the list 😊
As a Queen fan... I must agree 💯👍
You're a baby!
Sorry, he has no tattoos. Still, he is so good. Could not help it.
They only wrote 200 odd songs, take your time lol.
leave out the theatrics its puts us off
Just you, and that's okay. I'm not everyone's cup of tea.
i have underpants older than you mate.....lol but still good review, and the look on your face is the same look we had when we first saw this. I watched Live Aid as a 14 y.o and saw them at there best.....xxx
