I’m honestly loving my 16 pro upgrading from a 12. The build quality, the refresh rate, the battery, and the cameras are more than enough enough for me. Camera control is def pretty lame but I like it at least as a quick camera shortcut. I wish I used my action button more
Apple strategically releases new features in increments in order to leverage their products. If they were to release all the new features at once, it would not leave room for more reasons to come out with a new product because everything would have already been rolled out.
I just found you today. Thank you for mentioning those of us who their iPhone for 5+ years and nowu upgrading. I went from an 11 pro max to a 14 pro max in September. Writhing that same month I had to consider what to do now that I have to upgrade again. My husband is rough on phones so he gets the phone I’m using currently and I get the upgrade.
I stopped upgrading every year around the iPhone 5, went to a 7 to a 13pro and this year going to a 16proMax because I really like seeing the upgrades between those generations. My 13Pro going to the C- and the camera improvements and the battery life upgrade and NO MENTION of the sattelite link up for emergencies was the real reason for the upgrade this year.
For me personally, No need to upgrade for my 15Pro. I usually do a yearly upgrade but totally not worth it. Got one to replace a family member's iPhone XR and couldn't be happier.
Im using iPhone 12 Pro and will be upgrading to iPhone 16 pro, before the iPhone 12 Pro I had iPhone 7 and before that I had the iPhone 5s. So you can see how often I feel like upgrading and not because of need but just because the upgrade is justifiable. Even tho my devices are with 0 scratches and taken good care of.i just don’t get those who upgrade every year. I even have iOS 18 on the iPhone 12 Pro and still works amazing.
The one thing I hardly see any creator talk about is why we upgrade often… for most its length of term, AppleCare expiring, phone being older and slower … phones to me now are like leasing cars vs financing . My 14 pro max 1tb has 1 month left on AppleCare and I had my first incident in 15+ years of iPhones. New screen and battery replaced and it’s like new.. but without AppleCare I’m not comfortable using a $3k cdn phone

Yeah, I'm staying with mine too. Apple needs to seriously fix all the lag and bugs in iOS. A three year old phone that was the flagship of its time should not have a keyboard this laggy. Until Apple fix this, I'm not giving them a dime of my money towards a new device.
I upgraded from the 13 to the 16 pro max and I love it ,I never had a phone this big and beautiful, I also love the camera button as well, easy access to the camera

Still haven’t copped the 16 Pro Max yet. I have the 15 Pro Max and I want the 16 for the bigger screen and battery life. Apple Intelligence isn’t the selling point for me. I don’t see why people are so disappointed about a software update not bein in the 16 right now. They told us what it was and when it’s going to be available.
@@MrInFlight the screen, I promise you won’t notice. Even holding them side by side, it’s super minimal. But the phone itself is a bit taller, none of your cases or screen protectors will fit this. The battery is a significant improvement though, I’ll give them that.
Im so happy my brother swapped his new 16 pro max with my 15 pro max. My visually intensive games don't overheat the phone like pavement on a summer day and the battery is noticeably, substantially better. Also this may just be my imagination but the overall screen brightness is brighter and the screen is just easier on the eyes overall
Your experience with the display is probably real. Even though standards are considered a hard standard, there is percentage in that standard from phone to phone.
I was pretty unhappy all year with my 15 pro max camera. It was very grainy and washed out more often than not, I’m hoping the 16 pro max will be better. I have a baby and I don’t want all his pics to look crappy

Just upgraded to an iPhone 16 pro from my IPhone 12. I'm totally impressed withthe 16 Pro. It was worth every dollar. Screen, battery , camera, speed - all check!
48MP is a good reason to buy the iP16P, but then again I don’t take photos like that so it will be more of a want than a need at this point coming from a iP15P. Type C charging was the major seller for that phone.
I have a Pixel 8 Pro already, with an iPhone 16 pro due to be delivered today. I've never wanted an iPhone in the past, so having an excellent phone from each ecosystem will be an interesting experiment for me.
WOW!!! That's not possible???!!!! As powerful as the iPhone is???!!! 😂 I have an iPhone but never thought about alphabetizing the apps, perhaps because I have a Samsung phone and did all of that on my Galaxy phone and was content that I could do it on one of my devices. Now I wish I could do it on my iPhone. You've opened my eyes to that missing feature!
Hey C, check out the rebel version six and the rebel Flex, the Rebel Flex is without sides. I'm sporting this on my 16 Pro Max and I love that I can narrow it by that amount of thickness to where it is about as thick as a 15/16 pro with a full case! Plus I can modify the buttons and trim/protection pieces with different colors/material. Aluminum/titanium etc. 14:45

Again another banger I understand that people are complaining about the intelligence stuff and I like how you went about it. You touched on it and then you moved on, but remember they did warn us that it was going to take a while. I will admit slightly strange with them to make the event based on it, but it was showing you what was coming they never said you had to rush out and buy one and lastly, if you remember, they did the same thing with the SOS feature🤷♂️🤷♂️ and again if people really think about it, everything has been done to a phone for the most part that they can do without it being extremely buggy and making the cost of the phone skyrocket. And what were you talking about earlier? How people are being careful because the economy that’s another thing that blows me away when you look at what the phone upgraded to especially if your base model buyer you got so much more for the exact same price as last year.

As a cost-conscious consumer and, more importantly, a non-iPhone-Samsung Z Fold/Ultra user, I think, like most tech reviewers, that the traditional slab phone and maybe cell phones, in general, have plateaued. The best thing I've found is to not update every year. I save money and feel like I've got a legitimate upgrade after 2 or 3 years.
@ The only time I replace my phone is when it’s worn out or no longer software supported, I wised up to apples incremental changes and purchase only the most memory and biggest screen, so the have gone from 64gigabit to 1 t see if it lasts the next ten upgrades the 6+ did years of great service and changed 3 batteries in the life of the phone.
I’m upgrading from iPhone 14 to iPhone 16 pro max, maybe it’s not the best idea, but I’ve always wanted a pro model because I think they’re pretty. ^^ Currently I have the iPhone 14, it’s a little laggy but terrible it’s alright. Sometimes I get annoyed but it’s not the worst phone I’ve had. My camera is nice, I’ve not cracked it at all. :)
It would be nice to use the camera button and switch it to a flashlight button. It’ll be super easier to use then trying to press with the action button.

Damn, the fact that every other year, I've spent all my time inside. Not going out, not having kids, forced friendships, and keeping to myself. I find it crazy how people are having money problems. Seems I’m ahead of the times. My current iPhone (soon to be replaced) is an iPhone X. Yep. 7 1/2 Years on the same model, brother, with the only thing replaced being the battery. So I will certainly not belong to the people to return it, just for not being happy with not getting enough new features. I don‘t care about that. I get the one upgrade, that nobody can talk their way out of. Software support. The iPhone X didn’t even get iOS 17. And with iOS 18 released, apparently, I don’t even get security updates for iOS 16 anymore. So its only a matter of time, before apps won‘t be updated anymore as well. And since my replacement battery is used up as well, getting the latest and greatest iPhone is a no brainer for me.
Traded my XS (I also replaced the battery once before) in for a 16 Pro. It was on back order, but it just arrived today. The battery and inevitable end of support were my reasons for upgrading too.

The camera button, unless your disabled or right handed is actually pretty nice. I gotta use my camera for my job often and the button helps a lot, and using your left hand helps too
How do you manage the eSIM? I have a 16 pro max. But also like to use android. Do you keep your main number on iPhone and another line on androids? The switching is a pain n ass
You can keep your same phone number I had switched years ago from android to iPhone not sure about eSIM go to tips on your phone that will tell you you everything you need to know about your new phone it’s very helpful and it has video training also under “Tips “

Upgraded from 15 pro max to 16 pro max……it’s definitely bigger (no diddy)😂 the 1 nit of brightness at night is amazing, the photos are more realistic and photographic styles enhance it so much, battery is much better, overheating issues non existent, the studio mics and controls are amazing, camera control is great and I use it naturally in portrait and landscape mode videos are beautiful using 4k at 120. ( I’m currently on the developer beta 18.1. Whatever😂)
Well that explains it I watch that last video of how the s24 ultra look better more vivid and saturated You look brighter and just all around better that explains it having a screen protector that makes sense that I don't get why they would make a screen protector to take away from the beautiful picture weird

I am on 15 pro , agree it warms up faster , battery life not that great , else it ok will wait for better pro model . Battery is my main issue tho.

Currently I have the iPhone 14, it’s a little laggy but terrible it’s alright. Sometimes I get annoyed but it’s not the worst phone I’ve had. My camera is nice, I’ve not cracked it at all. :)

I've never found "trends" to really be worth much, if I like it that's what matters and I'm loving my 16 Pro Max. I'm with you on the AI frustration but it will come. Great and very thorough video!

Damn, the fact that every other year, I've spent all my time inside. Not going out, not having kids, forced friendships, and keeping to myself. I find it crazy how people are having money problems. Just don't spend what you can't spend lol I'm blessed to have the 16 pro without feeling like I lost money. It seems like a lot of people need financial counseling 💀 now I can enjoy my phone without feeling guilty like a majority of yall 😭 I went from an iPhone 11 to the 16 and my upgrade might be different than yours, but who told yall to get the latest phone when yall didn't have the money 💤

Seems I’m ahead of the times. My current iPhone (soon to be replaced) is an iPhone X. Yep. 7 1/2 Years on the same model, brother, with the only thing replaced being the battery. So I will certainly not belong to the people to return it, just for not being happy with not getting enough new features. I don‘t care about that. I get the one upgrade, that nobody can talk their way out of. Software support. The iPhone X didn’t even get iOS 17. And with iOS 18 released, apparently, I don’t even get security updates for iOS 16 anymore. So its only a matter of time, before apps won‘t be updated anymore as well. And since my replacement battery is used up as well, getting the latest and greatest iPhone is a no brainer for me.

Traded my XS (I also replaced the battery once before) in for a 16 Pro. It was on back order, but it just arrived today. The battery and inevitable end of support were my reasons for upgrading too.

Scratches found right before I put on screen protector. Hyper paranoid without case or screen protector. Had to get a case. Waiting over a month for magbak elite case ugh

Yes from my experience and I’m a very heavy user that gets over 1.5 days of battery
My 13 pro max was no where near a two day battery life. Upgraded to to 16 pro and hoping I’m happy with it.

The camera button, unless your disabled or right handed is actually pretty nice. I gotta use my camera for my job often and the button helps a lot, and using your left hand helps too

How do you manage the eSIM? I have a 16 pro max. But also like to use android. Do you keep your main number on iPhone and another line on androids? The switching is a pain n ass
You can keep your same phone number I had switched years ago from android to iPhone not sure about eSIM go to tips on your phone that will tell you you everything you need to know about your new phone it’s very helpful and it has video training also under “Tips “

Upgraded from 15 pro max to 16 pro max……it’s definitely bigger (no diddy)😂 the 1 nit of brightness at night is amazing, the photos are more realistic and photographic styles enhance it so much, battery is much better, overheating issues non existent, the studio mics and controls are amazing, camera control is great and I use it naturally in portrait and landscape mode videos are beautiful using 4k at 120. ( I’m currently on the developer beta 18.1. Whatever😂)
