All long pole switches sound the same
All linear switches sound the same
All MX switches sound the same
Mic is placed next to my ears (and not right above the board), the recording is surprizingly close to what I actually hear.
Did not swap the spacebar because with HMX the long pole Staebies bottom out before the switch does and it sounds like ass.

I also applied a forcebreak to my desk so there is less bass.

Neons are by far the best feeling and sounding to me.
how would you compare the neons in terms of how loud they are and how full they are compared to all the hmx?
They are just as loud I would say, but scratchier (which I like) and have more character. Idk but all HMX are feeling very 'generic' to me.
Do you notice any different in person between Hyacinth and Xinhai?
Yes. Minor.
v2 sound more deep and full to me than xinhai

If you snuk into my home overnight and soldeted in deep navy instead of hyacinth, I would probably not notice haha.
I mean you can hear the differences, but they are quite minute. Some people say all MX switches sound the same, or all linears sound the same. Depends on your frame of reference I guess.
To me linear MX is quite a broad spectrum. HMX in that spectrum occupies a very narrow band and operates there.
They are all very similar. I think you’d have heard more difference in the spacebar though
