so funny - i regularly catch something right after a boat goes by - thinking it helps stir up the water almost like chum kicking food up and around - also gets water harder to see for fish so they might miss the hook and bite.
Spanish Harbor is one of the best bridges to catch keeper mangroves and yellow jacks. Next time you throw your chum in the water use size 3/0 circle hooks with shrimp, dead or alive it doesn’t really matter. There were some 14”+ mangroves under your chum, they just weren’t interested in the sabiki.
I spearfish Ed this bridge and there are hundreds of snapper by each pilon, some as big as my chest. The issue in this area are barracuda, they will snaych your catch quick and they wait for you to throw bait in the water and catch a fish then they strike.
Schoolmaster. Btw night time fishing been on fire down in the keys . Use frozen sardines or manhaden. What I've learned in Florida. You do NOT use chum on bridge. It a waste of money since all the cut bait and scrap that what brings the fish in. Cast the bait toward other bridge pilings for bigger mangrove or cast it out in the open for big muttons snappers. It hard to catch live bait in the keys
Great enjoyable video, heading to Florida next year from the UK Can I please ask what sort of tackle, rods and reels we would need to bring to cover us. Thank you
Hy buddy really enjoy your content I'm fishing for the past 30yrs learnt alot of things from you and I'm applying it here in South Africa really get alot my fish thank you keep up the great work tell your dad hello 👋
Buy some blue crabs and freeline them with the current for permit (although im not sure if they are still running) and for bigger snapper and yellowjacks use pilchards with the current with a 1-1/2 oz egg sinker, cut bait doesnt work that well on warmer water and less so in the summer, but also the tiny gotchas jigging with the current can work. And use chum a lot of chum
Love your videos!!! Your Surf Videos are very informative!! Started Surf Fishing late last year and got hooked. Still learning how to catch big fish, but still having fun 😀
How do you clean/wash your fishing gloves? I have look on TH-cam but didn't find any help. Wondering if you have some tips or tricks? Maybe idea for upcoming video? 🤔
from the start all your videos were very helpful and entertained me too..thank you for all the fishing tutorials are very detailed..regards fishing hobby
Anchovies and sardines,is all you need!!But good to have a few different baits for sure,Erin killing it!!Gotta just use the sabiki with no bait to catch bait fish, if you put bait on it your gonna get all the reef rubbish fish, we have better subiki rigs in Hawaii we have the killer japan ones!!I always enjoy your folks videos!!
I was surprised to see you catch a strawberry grouper off of a bridge. I have only caught them in deeper water. Very good eating actually. It is amazing how many types of fish you can catch off the bridges there. Great video.
@@HeySkipper we’ve got family in Key West & I have yet to get down there to visit but I should! It’s been YEARS since I was in the Keys, I had forgotten that the bridges are basically aquariums!
Perfect advice. We slayed the mutton on long key bridge. Learned we needed bigger chunks of ballyhoo. Averaged 17” got one keeper. And a bunch of yellow tail keepers!

Yooooo guys I'll be down there tomorrow! Not that south but I'll point you the right bridge further north 😆! I know exactly that bridge you were at...it's actually a good bridge but not during the day with this heat. I caught my first Snook and Tarpon there. Right now the trend there is night fishing...during the day it's too hot and you'll get dinks! Trust me I fished there for years. If you want to join me...I'll show you how it's done down there with my setup and you'll be super impressed what toys I got! It's a very unique fishery down there...buy frozen or live Ballyhoo for some massive Snappers. Large size Mangrove Snappers, Mutton Snappers, Yellow Jacks, and Cudas love them!
The chickens are native to Key West. To the extent that during the last hurricane (Irma, 2017) they evacuated them from the Key. They are more protected than you and I...
Are you allowed to chum in Florida? I thought they banned this for shore fishing. I am not sure if the ban would include pier and bridge fishing. I love your videos!
Schoolmaster Snapper! 18:53 Also, leave the chum in the box, lasts a little longer & catch Pinfish in the grass flats for bait.
19:00 schoolmaster snapper
I was down in the keys 2 days ago, had no luck except a couple bites on cut jack crevalle.
On the way to Key West try Bahia Honda. One of the prettiest beaches anywhere and great place to fish on old train trestle.
Y’all should come up to Savannah, GA to fish the beach
I’ve been to fort clinch right next to Georgia!
I fish in tybee all the time and I never catch anything g
My brother and his family were down there in the beginning of July, had a lot of luck on the head boats. Always cool to see something different.
Yea! It’s a different perspective, an adventure that anyone can go try!

Hi, this is the 3rd time I will be asking you, what model are the black New Balance shoes you are wearing? Thx.
Can you get the penn spinfisher reel a try?
I didn't see anyone reply, but that snapper in the video that you couldn't identify around 19:00 is a schoolmaster snapper.

Okay! Thanks for the suggestion. What kind of fish?

Hi Skipper Brandan Erin always
Enjoy your hard work attitude
Stay safe out there bro
Regard to your family 🎣🐟✊👍💰
Nice to see Erin catching a lot of fish. It must be so neat fishing off the bridges. Where I am we can’t fish off of most of the bridges.
The bridges are fun to fish! If you ever make a trip to the keys you should try!
And Cudas are bitting hard this time of the year, use small blue runners and clip the tail
last comment: night fishing rn is rlly good for decent mangrove snapper (cast out away from under the bridge to avoid bait stealing fish)

Been to Key West twice and wondered what it would be like to fish there. Love Erin's new haircut.
It’s fun there! Go back with a rod next time

Hit Long Key bridge in islamorada . Chum the top and bottom. Bigger ballyhoo cuts. Fresh ballyhoo is the key! Great content!
Hey skipper lemme know when you're on Florida would love to go fishing with you
Congrats on 500k!
Hope y’all have a great time in the keys!!! Go snorkeling on a pro boat, we’ll worth the $30-$50 a person, esp at sunset!!
It was an amazing trip, there were so many sea creatures there. Great vibes on the keys!
The "crazy snapper" you caught after you moved spots, is called a schoolmaster snapper.
One of my dream vacations!

We were both surprised! So many random fish here. We are really enjoying the adventure.
All the keys bridges have them. Few and far between. Loving the content! Buying a bait box now!
Great videos! I lived in KW for years. Try Captain John's grey hound 1/2 day fishing charter. Really good people. Peace.
A good place I suggest is Smith mountain lake really really good fishing there and also great vid keep it up 👍🏾

Most of the fish caught bridge fishing like that will catch you dog master and most kinds of snappers really fun catching them
What type of bikes are those?
Hi! whats the brand of the wagon you are using if you dont mind me asking? I’m on a hunt of a nice wagon to get😊
Kahuna wagon! They rock!
That looked like so much fun to catch all those different species! I don’t actually know what that one “mystery” snapper was…schoolmaster maybe?
It was a blast! Especially when the water is so blue and there are so many random fish.
