I'm 67 years old and have been surf fishing for 50 plus years in NC.. you my friend have taught this old guy quite a few more things about surf fishing. You have a lot of knowledge and a very humble way that you deliver that knowledge Thank for sharing what you have learned. Keep up the good work!

Ahhh yes, the Oregon Inlet... this spot is 10000% 🔥. Speaking from experience, DO NOT WAIT TILL HIGH TIDE AT NIGHT TO LEAVE.... almost had to wait a tide change out one night there. Keep up the amazing vids!
I was using braid and a 3 oz sinker this past weekend at cape lookout and caught slot drum on a much simpler rig using live mullet from the surf! 30lb braid to a swivel with a clinch knot and the premade bottom rigs with circle hooks. It was my first time ever surf fishing and we got 5 drum and 2 blues ☺ the 3 oz weight seemed to work well in the mild surf, but a 6-8oz would definitely be better in heavier surf. I watched a lot of your videos in preparation for my trip and they seriously helped! I love your enthusiasm!
Legit question: isnt that fish finder at around 5:00 backwards? The weight should be on the slider right? Not saying its WRONG if youre pulling in fish, but isnt the weight supposed to carry the bait to the very end of your cast? Another problem with bait on the slider is that if the surf pulls your bait up the line and you get a bite, you have to reel the weight all the way up to the bait before you can actually get tension on the hook, allowing the fish more time to get free.
I love watching my British beach fishing videos where its all sit back for 2 hours and hope for a bite, then watching you lucky guys in america with non stop action haha
I’m in the uk, and about 90 miles to the nearest worthy fishing spots I used to love going too, im unable to walk now and very limited on sitting let alone standing. It’s been a long time since I’ve tried even a cast. But watching your videos takes me back to happy days for sure. My happy stomping grounds were from Cromer in Norfolk right up to Whitby in North Yorkshire xxx God Bless
