"Pez diablo" destructive species here in Mexico, specially in lakes and rivers at Tamaulipas and Veracruz, I didn´t know it adapted to salt water. As you see it´s mouth, eats nests so black bass, mojarra, sun fish, walleye and other are serously affected. We are having strong issues because of it!!
I live and fish on Amelia Island but would love to have you post in your videos where you are fishing on the Florida East Coast. I know fishermen hate to give up good spots but please let us know,
That looks like Guanna Park in St. Johns County. Watch for the gators as I had a 12 footer try to take out my kayak on that side of the damn. Plus if you get out there real early in the morning there are packs of wild pigs and even turkeys in the area.
You should use some shrimp to make some jam-asian jerk shrimp patties with everything that would be in a shrimp egg roll inside, but with jerk flavored shrimp
dang when were you there? we were at the dam like 3 times in the past week. woulda loved to meet you. A guy next to us caught like 11 reds and we caught 5 in one day. also there are blues and black drums too
northeast florida close to where I live. we just caught a big jack near there on christmas eve. I put the video in my channel. one day we will run into you brendan!!! everyone has been at that side for the last couple weeks due to this video. slot reds are being pulled up still.
Just a couple of questions. What's the most common lb test line you use for tying your dropper rigs and Carolina rigs? What's the max number of hooks you can use in Florida on your rod? I think you live there now. I'm not a troller or anything like that. I'm headed to Singer Island in March and trying to get my ducks in a row.
@@tommieholton2824 Not him but 20lb braid to 30lb leader will let you apply a fair amount of pressure to larger fish while still getting good casting distance. If you're around heavy structure and rocks you can up it as necessary, if what you're fishing is bite shy and you're in an area you can fish lose drag 10lb braid to 15lb leader works. If you're using bait I would lean towards the heavier leader. Exception to this is if I'm using floats, for those I use 50lb braid to 15lb flouro. The fish where I'm from that you would float for are super line shy, the 50lb braid floats over the water better than other diameters, it's actual breaking strength is irrelevant, the part that actually matters is the 15lb flouro which sinks straighter than mono and gives you a better bait presentation.
@attybatty6070 Thanks for the tips. I was thinking 20lb braid and leader for the first trough and 30lb braid and 50lb leader for the second. That's kinda what I use in Georgia.
When the shripm bad, they look orange, when they orange only the rubbish fish and rays gonna bite that, maybe some whiting, sharks and cat fish like it too!
Can you try to use bacon out there for bait? Or is it Mans urban legend to use bacon? Salted bacon must try. Lures, drop shotted, and even Carolina rigged.
What part of Florida is this and where? Been trying to find a good land based spot when i vacation there, havent had anyluck. especially around orlanda.
I love fishing. But the problem is we don't have sea water in where I live. I'm so tired of catching the same fish every year. So sad because I used to fish where it has all kinds of Marin life.
If you're in the Jacksonville area for an extended period of time you should try Joe Carlucci Park too man! I believe you'll catch a mysterious, new species of fish there that are edible. I'll tell you this, they are an unregulated species, and they are not catfish lol! Fish right in the middle of the channel between the old boat dock and the industrial ship yard. I recommend small pieces of shrimp on a dropper rig with a 2 oz weight.
Your sponsorship bit with Deeno Battery would have been better, if you had used the product throughout your videos and got more familiar with the product first. Then let us know what you have been using the battery for, that we are used to watching in your videos. ❤
Please check out ASFN fishing on U tube on how they handle skates and rays without hurting them, i saw in this video a guy standing on a small skate upside down , these guys in South Africa handle huge rays with ease.
Before I even watch I will say live bait..I think it's a girl thing. Hope you are surrounded by love, laughter, family, and friends this holiday season 💝🕊🎄 🌟 🎣 🐟 🐠 🎣
Fish eat whatever is in front of them , if they are hungry
That’s true! But that’s not always the case

Love your fishing in every clip I follow you for a long time
That reminds of when I doubled up on some bonefish with the same style rig
I live your videos. I have learned alot from you. GUANA State Park and Preserve is an awesome place to fish
I have fished at Guana also! There are usually lots of blue crabs there too you can catch with a dip net!

Great vid guys. What kind of chum were you throwing out when you were netting those shrimp. Definitely seems like it worked.
We were using a mixture of fish meal
Sand And flour
I never knew pleco could live in saltwater
They are crazy!

Where at in Jacksonville are you at
Can you try to use bacon out there for bait? Or is it Mans urban legend to use bacon? Salted bacon must try. Lures, drop shotted, and even Carolina rigged.
I was throwing greenbacks on skyway and it just kept getting nibbles on and no fish
That happens sometimes:( just gotta go again the next day!
Whats name of the place you are fishing at?
God, I love you heyskipper
God I love you back!
Where is that place
Hi me and my family might be going to Florida, someone you have any spots that you have caught fish at,
That's called Janitor fish here in the phillippines
When you do live bait vs dead bait in the future can you also do total weight for each category to distinguish if live bait catches bigger fish?
Or avg weight of fish
Sure, but I can tell you this, it all depends on the day!
Great vid! Shrimp it is👍
Thanks!
What part of Florida is this and where? Been trying to find a good land based spot when i vacation there, havent had anyluck. especially around orlanda.
This is in north Florida, near Jacksonville. Look for places near inlets! They always produce fish!

What rods do you fish with?😅
Phenix black Diamond rods
Would love to get the opportunity to fish with you guys. Just name the time and place in Florida
Definitely gotta check out that portable power station!!!! How do you find out where to cast net for shrimp???
Just keep trying different depths!
