- Forza Horizon 5 manual w/ clutch how to video. I explain how to use manual with clutch in FH5 and teach you the basics of manual transmission driving. I am using Logitech G920 Steering wheel and shifter. Forza Horizon 5 is an open world racing game with realistic car sounds and driving characteristics Developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios.

FAQ:
1. Q: I don't see the wheel settings, I can only see controller settings. What should I do?
A: Make sure you are entering the settings from your controller. The game will automatically have the settings visible for what you are playing with, so enter the controls using the wheel.
2. Q: I don't have a G920, will these wheel settings still work for my Thrustmaster, G923, etc?
A; Yes! Although, they won't be perfect. If you have a different wheel than I do, use these settings as a baseline and go from there. Your preference for how the wheel feels may be different than mine, so make sure you fine tune it to your liking if needed.
3. Q: Why doesn't my clutch work?
A: It is just a bug in Horizon 5 right now. I am hoping this gets fixed in a future update. For now, try remapping your clutch pedal. Go to settings and find controls. Then click on clutch and re map it.
4: Q: What are my GHub Settings?
A: I am on xbox, so I unfortunately do not have GHub.
5. Q: My settings show steering sensitivity, what should I set this to?
A: My wheel does not offer this option, so I unfortunately would not be able to give you a number.
6. Q: (Xbox only) My wheel feels like it has no force-feedback and is not counter-steering at all, what should I do?
A: Quick resume causes the wheel and game to glitch. Restart the game and xbox console to fix this. I hope this can be fixed in an update, but for now I am having to restart my game everytime I play because quick resume causes the wheel to lose all feeling.

Yo I just got this shifter for my g920 and I plugged the shifter in right and the shifter just acts like it’s dead like I can’t do anything with it

I didn't realize how realistic Forza is with a wheel
not realistic at all, the whell wont turn 900 degress, clutch is a cosmetic as u don't need to use it to change gears, u car won't stall if u dont use clutch, u car won't roll if u turn too much ur whell.

@@CristianSalles1 fr, in the gaming cafe when I was playing this game with the setup I was surprised when the non usage of Clutch didn't stall the call.
On eurotruck clutch and shifters are workjng ,you have a bitting point to accellerate.FH5 even you not pressing the clutch you can still shift drive. And yes my setting is manual/ clutch tried all setting now working.

Just found this video when searching about clutch for the G920. Hope for quick answer - What more games have clutch on XBOX?
I found a fix for the Clutch issue that everyone is complaining about, go into your settings and then Controls then change input mapping. Switch to wheel then scroll all the way down till you see Clutch. Once you click on Clutch you will then press the clutch pedal down and it will learn it. Bang! the clutch will now work properly!!!
also if you go into your settings to difficult, down to shifting make sure it’s set on manual w/ clutch not manual.

You’re a legend for this one. I was driving with simulation damage on and couldn’t figure out why every shift was messing up my trans. Didn’t realize my clutch was doing nothing 😂
Dont know if anyone will see this but I need to ask: Why if I play with clutch, I still have to use it on supercars that have a secuential gearbox? I know that a few cars still have a clutch pedal and a secuential gearbox but, why do I need to use it on all cars? Is there a way to change it without changing the game "difficulty" or there is no other option?

I use Logitech G923 with shifter and the clutch is useless as I can shift gears directly by the shifter, although difficulty setting is "manual with shifter'.

Hi, for the game this is normal. You will find that sweet spot where giving gas causes the car to roll. If you are too much on the clutch, it will just rev and not go anywhere. If you are not on the clutch enough, it will simulate the car stalling

What if the car your driving has a 7 speed up to the 10 speed? How to you shift into the gears after 6th
Well in real life you do not typically see these cars with an h pattern manual. Usually they are with paddle shifters so I would recommend just switching to manual and using the paddles
They only make seven speed manual in the 2015 Corvette, and some of the Porsches. If it has seven gears or more, it’s a sequential.
Question , what about the different cars some have 5 gears while others have 6,7,8 and I even seen some have 9 gears. How does that work with the wheel setup? I never played with a with a wheel so. I understand shifting cause ido in real life but how how many slots does the shifter have? 7? 8? 9?
The logitech g29 has 6 gears and a reverse. But all wheels come with paddle shifters so you would just use those in the case you have more gears

So I changed my cluch pedal to hand break and when I changed it back and put MC back on the cluch does nothing but I change it back to handbrake and it works.
It’s a weird bug in the game. Try restarting and remapping the clutch pedal

I connected my shifter but it doesn’t register when I’m trying to shift gears. I have the shifter in neutral but when I go in the game and look it says the car is in first gear. I have manual with clutch on so do you know why it’s doing this?
Try restarting the game. A lot of these settings just don’t register until you restart
I selected the manual +clutch option but I still don’t need the clutch. Whether that setting is clicked on or not, makes no difference. Any idea why? What am I doing wrong?

whenever i release the clutch after it starts rolling i get to about 10-15mph and when i accelerate it just revs as if it is in neutral

Just got my g29 and I am trying to go out of 1st gear like you are in 1:55 and the car is not slightly rolling when I slightly and slowly release the clutch....I remapped the clutch key already and set the setting to manual w/ clutch.
It does not always do this. I was also slightly downhill. Usually always does this with a real car, but Forza is odd
you probably got clutch dead zone inside at 0, go into advanced settings and change "Clutch Axis Deadzone Inside" set it to 15 or higher and then save.

I dont have the gear shifter currently, all i have is the wheel and peddles so i guess the clutch is not going to work really without it.
When you shift without the clutch, does it redline mid shift? You can still shift without the clutch, it is just really weird and not smooth
It's somewhat similar to a real car, you can clutchless shift but it just won't be as smooth as using the clutch in game
You can feel the clutch when you step on it, it starts slowing the car down and when you release the clutch which I prefer to release slowly the car moves up

Can I speed shift? it is where you are in say 3rd Gear and you quickly switch 4th Gear and the gears go right in and you don't need to apply the clutch
Dont you always need the clutch to shift otherwise you will stall

The engine does not shut off but you can see the rpm drop rapidly when it "stalls"

You can always shift without a clutch… theoretically. Maybe it’s not working and you’re just shifting without the clutch?

Go to your Will settings take it all the way to the stock number one settings go down to clutch hit a it’s going to ask you what you want to save it under 123 or 45 choose one then go back out of the game then back into the menu, go to advance and change your off-road upper one down notch go back to the game and while yourclutch works. You can also try just going back to the home screen and going back into the game.
