You actually can trigger 3D movement in a 2D section in Chemical Plant as Modern Sonic as well. And in the Sky Sanctuary Act 2 Mission 3.
So there is 5 places to do it.

Also, note if 2D sonic goes 3D movement mode, spin dash takes on new, odd properties.
I'm not entirely sure, but on the PC version you can put 2D sonic into one of 3D sonic's levels, and if you attempt to spindash it will send you off in a random direction, whether this is reliant on your last 2D orientation I do not know.
Also, Classic sonic can run on top of water in Modern Sonic's acts without boost, which is pretty great.
I discovered a 3D in 2D glitch in modern Chemical Plant were if you jump on the last red platform in the part where you dodge the mines near the start of the level then jump at the farthest right part of the platform then boost jump and stomp at the 2D section and if you hit the checkpoint you can retain the 3D glitch. (Note that the part afterwards doesn’t work but you can boost jump to see how far you can go.)
This shows way more than Son of a Glitch from A+Start did. This is the better video I have to decide between both. Good job, keep it up :D

I accidentally boosted into a platform somewhere near Crisis City stage select and was stuck there. Thankfully I was below one of the challenges.
I love how you say at 5:34 "Just know, that little Chibi Sonic will do glitchy things with the spikey power."
Fun Fact: AntDude kinda ad-libbed that line, I wrote it much differently.

You can also trigger 3D in 2D in Sky Sanctuary Act 2, if you jump before the transition to 2D at the end of the Quick Step section. Learned it from AGDQ.
I think it's pretty late but some weeks ago playing again I got soft-locked on planet wisp act one by using the spike wisp to climb the walls and ended up accidentally locking myself above the plataform on some sort of room made from invisible walls with no way out

Question Aurum which modern sonic speed glitch is better sonic unleashed or sonic gen i say sonic unleaded
I've found a sort of exploit in a Green Hill mission, that one with all the jump panels. Usually, the goal ring in that mission is half way thru the stage, But ass you get launched in the air towards the goal ring, boost toward the waterfall, and you can continue into the cave with all the rails, there are no rings or boosters, even the giant robo-fish is gone! I haven't found a way to get past that cave though.

If you use the spikes in planet wisp on the upper spot in the factory entrance, if the spikes go away mid-loop, Classic Sonic will get stuck in the loop

Actually, I'm fairly certain there are ways to do the 3d in 2d glitch in every level. Definitely in Green Hill Zone Act 2, as that is the only place I've personally done it, but I've heard of it in other places too.
The 3d glitch can be done in other stages as well. I did it in speed highway act 1
I've found a weird glitch. Use Bubble shield, go to Speed Highway, bounce on the slope at the beginning and Classic Sonic will get stuck and slide slowly down. To get out of this glitch, you press the bounce button again.
I tried that in the PS3 version.
Their is a glitch where in one challenge in green hill. With the extra speed circle in modern sonic, you can boost right where it ends with the stage ring goal is on the flooting wooden platform by the waterfall. Well if you go boost up that ramp, hold the boost button and sonic will boost above the ring and fall, keep holding the boost button again and will boost in to the waterfall. You will go in to the grinding area where the giant robot fish is but he won't be their. AND once you grind out of their, you'll fall in the underdeveloped other half of green hill where you'll fall in too the glitch out place of limbo and fall to your death.
anyone know the name of the song around 4:46? I thought it was sonic heroes casino theme but I was wrong, I know I've heard it before but I can't be sure which game it was from.
I found one glitch on Sky Sanctuary Balloon Bonanza Missiot Act. I think it's possible on normal Act 2, but because I don't know how I did that, I'm not sure is it possible.
on planet wisp act 1, when i was getting all red star wings i got stuck into a wall softlocking me, forcing me to restart

No one ever talks about the cannon through a wall in speed highway act 2 and the falling through the floor in seaside hill act 1. Those are so frustrating.
I have done most of these glitches by accident. I swore at the TV the first couple of times.
It is a Sonic game lol.

in SkSa (act 1), I found the 3d in 2d glitch, via going backwards after ZIPLINE, which, is not that complicated

In Sonic 2 I found a glich for the thing that transport you to the other side and if you're supersonic you can glich in to the capsel
You can clip the wall in the planet wisp charmy mission dont know how it just happened
I was hoping this would explain how but it didn't unless I missed it. One time I was doing Speed Highway act 2, and during one of the 2d sections O ended up behind the level. I survived for a while but then I ran out of platforms. If this has happened to you let me know, so I know I'm not crazy.
The spindash in Sonic Generations is WAY too overpowered.
i got shadow to the side of the stage when i hit him + went WAY too fast and he got stuck with inviz frames
fun fact, the first time i played console generations was at a friends house, and i did the green hill act 2 loading glitch. i was just like "uuuuh, is that supposed to happen?" he looks up at the screen "No." and i restarted the stage.

I found a glitch in seaside hill
it was act 2 of the sonic doppleganger challenge.
and at an area where the blowing fans are in the 2d section.
I proceeded to jump to reach the area but I accidently slided and I went through the wall by the fans. After, I just got stuck there.
This was on ps3.
The trigger skip in green hill occured to me in my first playthrough...
I give the new intro a 10/10 IGN "fast and to the point" I hate those 30+ second intros other people have
TBH, the intro + opening sequence is over 30 seconds, but I make sure in that time viewers get to see what they're in for :)
I found like 9 other 3d in 2d glitches and you can do that drifting glitch on every ramp in the game. You only show 1/2 glitches that i found and im only 11 but i like glitches and find them, train them and master them but i still like you and this video 😄😄😄

These are awesome! And fanboys act like it's only the Adventure games that are full of glitches. Meanwhile, Generations crashed on me more than any other Sonic game combined (and it's STILL fantastic).

I was playing city escape today and I jumped just as the truck exploded while boosting and then Sonic went backwards through the truck section and into a wall before dying.
