Ukraine is such an awesome country! I am learning more and more about it everyday. I speak to a lot of Ukrainians online, and have been since around 2014. We are praying for you! We are donating money as well! The Western World stands with Ukraine! God bless!

Hey, Merry Christmas from Calgary, Alberta, Canada...
I'm a 67 year old Ukrainian born in Canada... Mom and dad spoke Ukrainian at home a lot, so I have Ukrainian going on in my head, but I don't have the language. 😊. I took a Ukrainian class when I was in university and was starting to get the hang of it but then let it slide. I'm going to try and give it another try ... We're having Ukrainian Christmas dinner on Sunday, so I'll think of my younger days at home and I'll think of your good words about Ukrainian language and Ukrainian Christmas. 🎄🎄🎄😋

Did your father or grandfather run away from justice. Lots of Ukrainians in Canada have a war criminal in the background. Thats why you all support the nazis there now.

@@genesturby9247 Makes a change. Most Canadian Ukrainians are related to Banderite nazi scum.

Merry Christmas Inna. Once again, I want to thank you for the memories. My mama and Baba always celebrated Ukrainian Christmas with the meal as you described with the 12 dishes exactly, all homemade. No meat on Christmas Eve to honor the fast. Christmas Day was a meat filled feast with turkey, ham, chicken, stuffings, pies, and many other Ukrainian dishes. All of our relatives were at my parents' house, as well as at least one outsider each year to share the blessings. The most memorable was when we had the town Librarian (H. Rosenburg-Jewish), and Catholic Priest-Father Jim Rellihan. He told her Merry Christmas Hanna, she cheerfully replied, Happy Hannuka to you too Father. His Sermon that Sunday was entirely on that Ukrainian Christmas in International Falls, Minnesota. Now, my sisters and I only share greetings through texts and phone calls. Memories are forever. Thank You.

Hi, Inna. I started learning ukranian some weeks ago, I'm from Santa Catarina - Brazil, and here we have some cities with strong ukranian influence, and the one where my fiancee is from we even have a catholic church with ukranian rite, where the mass is in ukranian and full of ukranian chants. The city is Itaiopolis, and I have the privilege of having ways to practice, even with my mother in Law, who is a fluent speaker. And you are beeing of great, GREAT help. Under the conditions, I'm sure that soon I will be able to have simple conversation with the local speakers. Thanks!!! God bless!

The symbology is interesting as its suggested jesus, born a virgin is reference to the constellation virgo, the virgin and the symbol is a sheeth of wheat. "Sat for 3 days then resurrected " the suns lowest point, sits for 3 days and move north December 25th. Aligned with the 3 kings * stars and looks like a crux. Bringing more light in the year.

Learn Russian. Ukrainian is just a dialect of it.
