Thank you for inviting us into your home and sharing this wonderful holiday. My fiancee and her son are flying from Ukraine to visit me in Germany (I am an American living in Germany for next 3 years). We plan to share New Years and Ukrainian Christmas together!
I love your behind the scenes videos. It shows how life really is. The good the bad and the ugly. It's life. Thank you for sharing! Happy holidays to you and your family. May it bring peace and prosperity to you!
Olena I’m a pretty new subscriber and catching up on your videos. I loved this. Still praying for your husband and Ukraine . It’s been a rough few days but Ukraine will triumph!
Hello again dear friends Olena and family in Ukraine, It is always interesting to learn more about the cultural differences between your country and ours, and the ways that we all do things. The world more than ever now with the power of the internet means that we are all learning so much more about the rest of the world around us... Wishing you all a very happy celebration, whether it is Saint Nicholas, santa clause, father frost, new year or even christmas in January.... much love to you all... best wishes.. stay well and stay safe... God bless you all...
SO SO PRECIOUS....A MERRY CHRISTMAS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND HOST FAMILY. I AM SO HAPPY YOU HAVE SUCH A GREAT HOST FAMILY. SUCH A GOOD VIDEO FOR YOU TO HAVE AND FOR YOUR FAMILY TO LOOK BACK ON. I HOPE YOUR DAY IS WONDERFUL FOR YOUR FAMILY'S.
You have a beautiful family and I enjoy seeing how life is for families in Ukraine. I really appreciate you sharing the history of the Christmas traditions in Ukraine. I am happy you can all now celebrate how you wish.
What a sweet video of a happier time! I loved hearing Katya say "I'm Happy!", and the gifts of live ants and a police car (how appropriate after you were burglarized!). I love these behind-the-scenes videos! It allows us to get to know you better. I was hoping you would post a picture or a short video of Thanksgiving dinner and of Christmas morning or after-Christmas video showing all the gifts that Santa Claus and your subscribers brought to you, Serhiy, and the kids. Maybe that is something you are still working on, (for Christmas perhaps, it's a bit late for Thanksgiving) but if not, that's OK. Those are private times and I'm sure the last thing on your mind is creating a video for TH-cam.
Olena, you have a lovely family. Thank you for sharing your home life with everyone. I am in the United States. I grew up with only Santa Claus. In my tradition, Santa Claus will bring lumps of coal to naughty children. And children are taught that Santa Claus likes milk and cookies so it is a tradition to set out milk and cookies for Santa at Christmas when everyone goes to sleep. Thank you for telling all of us about the tradition of St. Nicholas Day and Father Frost. I thought this was very interesting. From what I understand, I think Santa Claus was invented by a German mother who made the story up because she wanted her children to be good and to behave. Then, it spread all over the world.
Your last two videos now have me in the Christmas spirit Olena 🎁 🎄. I also had an ant farm Katya. Maybe one day you can get sea monkeys 😁 they look nothing like the advertisement though!
The tree looks awesome and everyone looks so happy! No sticks in this home 😂 I personally like cool information like this since it’s probably topics I’d never otherwise learn about (even during our future visit in Ukraine). I grew up exclusively with Santa Claus here in Canada and only celebrated on the 25th (Santa Claus has had a monopoly on my winter holiday celebrations 😂), so learning about St. Nicholas Day and Father Frost is super interesting. The song was awesome to hear too. So here’s one viewer that appreciates this type of video.
I liked watching this. Shows much love in your family. Learned something new, father frost. Now that Russia invaded you, maybe it is best to drop father frost.
Thank you for sharing Christmas with your lovely family. I'm a bit confused. Will you celebrate on the 25th or Jan 7th? Or both? The more the merrier. Blessings!
We will celebrate all. Traditionally most of local people are Orthodox and these people still celebrate Christmas on the 7th but now we have discussions to celebrate on 25th instead. Recently they made it an official holiday, day off. And we have many Greek Catholics who celebrate 25fh. And we all celebrate the New Year very much. Actually we celebrate it the most. And this is when children find presents under the tree from Father Frost (Ded Moroz) or Santa Claus. By the way thank you for 10 cups of coffee! ❤❤❤
Hello. Yes I think it is pretty safe to travel to Ukraine, even though your government doesn't recommend it. I suggest you to watch my video about how to travel and read the info in its description below the video th-cam.com/video/ob_4nY-9dXY/w-d-xo.html
The real St Nicholas was born into a wealthy family and at a young age found a relationship with Jesus Christ, The Risen Saviour Who is Gods only Son, a real person anyone can get to know personally. When St. Nicholas’s parents died they left him, their only son, a great deal of wealth. Instead of spending this wealth on himself and knowing that his sustenance comes from God, he decided to give it all away to those in need. He obeyed God by not flaunting his generosity. Instead, he would give little bags of gold and silver to people in desperate need in secret so they didn’t know who gave it to them. To his disappointment, eventually the secret was uncovered. If he were alive today he would be very upset that everybody idolises him and gives him the attention that rightfully belongs to Jesus, The True Light of Life, The Giver of all Good things to mankind, Who’s sacrifice will bring millions into the Kingdom of Heaven.

No, unfortunately))) I filmed it in London when I worked there as a journalist. The thing was in the press kit.
