Indiam railways is always a romance. When i was a kid i used to spend a lot of time in small rural railway stations and watch the steam engine, the guard, chsnging of keys. It is a romance even now with modern trains and i would love to fight for the window seat.

@@ManiSudhanshu3 simple things makes the change absolutely...
Faster service how can u achieve that let's say
Presently is it possible to do 1500kms around or across the country under 18hrs😮 yes hardly keeping trains above 100kmph min speed, is all that is needed, track wise upgradation shd b to keep 400kms sections above 160kmph or insert 200-300km bullet like Ballast less tracks thr by avg spoed r kept well near 140kmph .... Question is how to do it meaningfully at the fastest speed.....
What presently possible for trains can it do avg 86kmph then let's get it done ie VB does 650@7.30hrs ie 85 above without issue let's augument that with a mini duronto as sleeper instead of sitting nd let passengers find a 3e garibrath class WAP5 8-12coach ie capacity 800-10000passenger that cam do 800-850 kms in 10hrs that way 8+10 of VB/md mini duronto can easily cut time taken to under 18hrs across the nation at the drop of a hat atleastbin 25-40sections nd complimentary VB start nd finish with a 15min gap shd accommodate 10000passenger with others ie tickets can b priced nominally ie 1500 plus 1000 let's say ie 2500rs for any wr travel from 1000-1500kms across the country in 18hr policy for railways.... Each passengers saving approx 5hrs enroute easily as express trains @70 under can b upgraded to this with additional payment to meet the shortfall of prices... And. Seemlessly ticketing nd travel reservation available further railways can give a suitable pick up n transfer from home service at stns like airports solving travel issues largely ie starts 5-1pm every day
3 introduction of 2 Memu every city ie 40cities for the next 12 mths.. Either 6/8/4 coach every 15-20min frequency to cover 60kms in 1hr with 5/6 stops

Good and important messages to take away from this Ted talk. Not only relevant for the railways, but also for a broader context. Congratulations Mr Mani

Yes, upgrade of tracks is a primary need, rest will surely follow for up to 220 km/h
