    Is this another ball from the Foremost factory in Taiwan? The Sugar website talks about the same stuff as Vice etc. (Cutting out the middle man, no expensive tour player, same factory as the "big boys") three piece is the same as the Vice pro.

    As a graphic designer, I’m not a fan of the written logo and I’ve noticed that many of these DTC brands have unappealing logo. I feel the same way about Vice, Cut, Oncore and Snell as well.

    I have a golf ball related question that may be of interest to you for a topic. I’ve been practicing a floppy chip in my backyard. I have been practicing with nitro balls, they’re hard, cheap, and clicky. I also have been experimenting with some premium balls on the golf course. Been shooting out with a tp5, AVX, Tour B XS, and Z-Star.
    Tonight I decided to switch out my practice balls (the nitros) for the balls I’ve been testing. I noticed something very peculiar…
    The cheaper nitro balls are very easy to hit high on a flop shot. All of the premium balls with urethane covers are very difficult to get high, however, they seem to spin and bite more for less height, I’m using a Vokey SM8 54 10s bent to 55. I’m hitting off a mat but tried it on the grass and the results are very consistent. The cheap balls seem to fly up while the pricey ones don’t. I did notice that distance control is much better with the pricey balls but they don’t fly as high. I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this and perhaps some advantages and drawbacks to either ball. Whether it’s a cover related thing, core related, or something else.
    My uneducated guess is that the urethane has a lot more traction on the club face allowing it to “bounce” off rather than letting the ball slide off the club

    • @dantu5377
      @dantu5377 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Urathane, is more grippy so it usually have more skin.
      You said it yourself, the nitros are hard. So it’s going to bounce higher than higher end balls.
      Higher end balls are “softer”. It gives you more feel so it won’t bounce as high.

    When I first heard about the "Sugar Golf Ball" I purchased a box of 27 for $66 which was about £52 at the time and direct from the USA and at that price its a great Ball but you can't buy them direct now and have to pay £66?? So in my opinion you may as well pay an extra £4 and get 24 z-stars for £70 but still another great review Matt

  • @BrD4GOD
    @BrD4GOD 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Amount of balls refers to 3 cubed or 3 to the 3rd power.

    • @elevationgolfingnation3200

      It’s free shipping? The cost is £67 and free shipping for the cube which is £2.48 per ball. Buy in bulk (more cubes and it gets cheaper) to the £2.33 Matt quotes.

    This ball like the Vice will just spin up a little too much when you don't want it to. I believe it has to do with the dimples. A pro v, bridgestone and brand name premium balls seem to have better, shallower dimples. Still really good balls though!

    They chose 27 balls because it's a square box. There are 3 rows of 3 per level, and you guessed it 3 levels to complete a cube. That my friends is a total of 27 beautiful Sugar balls. Haha.

    So, under actual unbiased, robot training, not even the Snell lived up to it's claims of being as good as the best balls and creator of Snell is CO CREATOR of ProV1.
    MyGolfSpy did a full, massive test with a robot and Snell did ok but not as good as I thought comparatively. I doubt these would fair as good but it's great to finally have a bunch of decent options.
