+MunchMyDong It was a HUGE miss on our end, then in editing when we flipped the board everyone's hands come in from different directions and it was SUPER distracting. So the editor decided to keep upside down. If you check out our Super Motherload episode you'll notice everything is "camera" centered. It won't happen again.
+Tech Geek Gamers Ah that makes sense. I just bought this today, me and 4 friends are going to play it tomorrow. We have been playing a lot of risk especially risk 2210AD (highly recommended). Seems like a lot of things to keep track of in this risk, if you make a mistake then you can't really reverse it..
+MunchMyDong It's not too bad, our February play through will be at the end of February. If you want to see how the game progresses. Also its the experience with your friends that makes it awesome.
Can someone explain the rules? A turn can either consist of recruit or attack/expand or maneuver? How do you win at this game when someone can keep recruiting and refortifying their exterior battle lines?
You did not follow the attacking rules. You can only attack with a MAX of 3 troops. If you loose one of those three and continue atta king then you reduce your dice.
You don't have to reduce if you still have three troops to attack with. You only have reduce when there's three or less troops in your territory you are attacking from. (I haven't watched the video yet, but you made is sound you have to reduce after each attack where you lose a troop).
+Chris Ippolito from central europe to that island (which name i can't recall). The europe countries connect in a cross, but I can't see a direct line there.
***** You're right. That was me. Looks like I broke a lot of rules this game :( I should of gone to Great Britain or Scandanavia first before going into Iceland.
Please clarify for me, at 28:44 the man on the far right (Chris I think his name is) took the Iceland card, yet he did not battle and win that territory. Why did he take the resource card? Is he playing with Imperial Balkania and using that one power? Also, at 35:59, the same guy spent a coin card, but put it in the discard pile. I thought the coins go back onto their coin pile when used? Furthermore, it would be great if you all would not swear and such while playing. Thank you so much!
Ha ha. Then those two actions Chris did were mistakes? Also, why is it that you all discarded card number four at the end of each turn when no one rightfully took a territory card? Was this a rule that is unlocked later in the game or something? Though, I know that card four gets discarded when a coin card is taken per rules. I have only played one game thus far, so I am just a little confused. Thank you =)
Hi guys. I noticed that when a turn ends and nobody has conquered a board territory, that the territory cards get shifted over one in your playthrough - discarding one and bringing a new one out. Is this correct? I can't find a reference toward doing that in the rules.. Can someone point me to it?
I believe you should do that when you take a coin card, which mean you have to have conquered at least 1 territory. Unless there's some unlocked rule I forget, you shouldn't for game one.
Hi! I have a questions about how to activate missile powers(brown slot) it’s said that you have to use a nuclear misil in order to activate. My question is, you have to use the nuclear missile every time that you want to use it? For example in the rally power you can add 2 extra troops in every HQ that you have. But I think that is very expensive using a nuclear missile just to have 2.. or 4 extra troops... if you could help us with this , we would be very thankful! Greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴
So you do not need to leave an army in the territories between where you started and where you ended? for example Chris didn't leave an army in Iceland or Northern Europe on his way to Greenland.
At the 8:43 mark and again at the 14:53 mark...you discarded the card in slot four on the sideboard and shifted all the other cards down one space. This is incorrect!! You're only supposed to discard the slot four card when somebody takes a coin card. The only way someone will take a card from the card row is if they have a matching territory.
Mainly clicked to see how the rule about red stars was clarified. It confused us whether our headquarters counted as one, especially in the second game when the previous winner got a missile instead of a star... Which provoked complaint of unfairness
+Tech Geek Gamers, AWESOME! I am a big fan of Risk Legacy and actually have 2 campaigns running right now! P.S. You did the resource cards wrong. The only time they move is when one is taken from it or when you get a coin then you discard space 4 and move them. You do not move them every turn. This promotes attacking as folks will want something that is on the board.
+Glenn R YUP! We have only made this mistake once. Our previous filming we had changed our GoPro (the overhead camera) to be flipped in camera. Then someone changed it back and the producer forgot to check before starting filming as we were rushed. All of the fingers are pointed at 1 person. Don't worry we will never do this again.
I know this video is old and it really doesnt matter at this point but Cory shouldn't be able to name Japan at the end of this because he didn't own it at the end of the game
Consider all factions to be the worst of that regions history. The German faction, like the others, is trying to take over the world by force. Reminds most people of a real life event... The Nazi party.
Why put the board upside down in the video?

Love this. Thanks guys for the help, we were struggling a bit with the rules on our first game, but this clarified a lot. Appreciate it!
Really?!? Whoa. Cool.
I have always loved risk. Never been any good at it though, but still loved it.
We're not great at it either. Well Chris is.
+Tech Geek Gamers As true as that might be, you make your selves look like pro's compared to when I play.
Beyondact It's all the lovely editor. He's brilliant.... also he's writing this comment.
I knew she was gonna win, she seems to be the smartest commander!
Oh wow! I butchered those rules. You don't shift territory cards unless someone grabs one. Sorry friends.
7:39 Dudes reaction that was trying to claim North America was hilarious😂
Starting in North America has always gone amazing for me. I just don’t understand
That usually mean the other players let you do what you want.
Please tell me the Red/Blue/Yellow/Green shirts (the standard player colors) were planned. If it was....WELL DONE!
Yes?
Why no playlist of the whole campain
Can someone explain the rules? A turn can either consist of recruit or attack/expand or maneuver? How do you win at this game when someone can keep recruiting and refortifying their exterior battle lines?
Why was the board upside down for the audience? 😒
so funny, love risk keep playing
Thanks Donna! ROCK ON!
You did not follow the attacking rules. You can only attack with a MAX of 3 troops. If you loose one of those three and continue atta king then you reduce your dice.
Oh wow, well don't get hung up on that as we don't follow that for the rest of the games. Big yikes on our end.
You don't have to reduce if you still have three troops to attack with. You only have reduce when there's three or less troops in your territory you are attacking from. (I haven't watched the video yet, but you made is sound you have to reduce after each attack where you lose a troop).
been curious about this. One thing, your first turn, you don't have a chain the way you went to America.
+Iejir Isk Cory is moving from Kamchatka to Alaska, which is connected by one of those lines. Is that the move you're asking about?
+Chris Ippolito from central europe to that island (which name i can't recall). The europe countries connect in a cross, but I can't see a direct line there.
***** You're right. That was me. Looks like I broke a lot of rules this game :( I should of gone to Great Britain or Scandanavia first before going into Iceland.
Happens. glad to see someone else playing boardgames. I don't often get to play, so I can play vicariously through others. Play well!
***** You can play vicariously through us anytime. We don't mind ;) You'll be happy to know we are going to play more board games in 2016.
Please clarify for me, at 28:44 the man on the far right (Chris I think his name is) took the Iceland card, yet he did not battle and win that territory. Why did he take the resource card? We'll look in to Chris cheating... he does that a lot, he's so sneaky.
Ha ha. Then those two actions Chris did were mistakes? Also, why is it that you all discarded card number four at the end of each turn when no one rightfully took a territory card? Was this a rule that is unlocked later in the game or something? Though, I know that card four gets discarded when a coin card is taken per rules. +Blessed Mother we may have been called in these mistakes in the past so no shots for Chris. We are probably just cheating.
You can only attack with 3 at a time. And when you've been wiped out you start again on your next turn with half the starting amount. Which is 4
Hi guys. I noticed that when a turn ends and nobody has conquered a board territory, that the territory cards get shifted over one in your playthrough - discarding one and bringing a new one out.

and going from cenntral EU to island is incorrectly 15:20
Yep. I was about to say this. You need to control the territory in between. There is no direct line going to Greenland from that spot.
I thought u can only expand to an empty adjacent territory??? Not empty territories 3 sectors away???
You're right! We are just dummies.

We think that unlocks the ability. However we are also wrong a lot of the time.
So you do not need to leave an army in the territories between where you started and where you ended? for example Chris didn't leave an army in Iceland or Northern Europe on his way to Greenland.
Thomas M I didn't?! That's a really simple rule I broke if that's the case 😖 What time was that at?
+Thomas M Chris is just a big cheater. 😬
So much salt
Around the 17 minute mark one of the players drop a scar sticker on the board. Did I miss where you explain how that action was triggered?
Some scar cards allow you to play it during a turn, I don't remember which ones.
At the 8:43 mark and again at the 14:53 mark...you discarded the card in slot four on the sideboard and shifted all the other cards down one space.

+Rebecca Smith your base counts as a point (red star) we probably didn’t explain that, but I hope you got your answer.
So advancing into an unoccupied territory, doesn't earn a card?
Thomas M correct! You have to take a territory from an opponent, unless your faction has an ability that says otherwise.
I am going to unlock everything through the course of 15+ games
There's things that's impossible to unlock (if you mean apply to the game with unlock). Opening the boxes and envelopes is possible though .
@@nihlify Oh I know about the
spoiler alert
Do not open. Ever.
When will be the next Risk Legacy game?
+Caleb Horton very soon. In the next coupe of weeks.
+Tech Geek Gamers, AWESOME! I am a big fan of Risk Legacy and actually have 2 campaigns running right now!
P.S.

+Caleb Horton Cool! We know about the cards. That's what happens when Mark isn't around.
Flip the board view vertically and the body camera horizontally. You big goofs.
I think Australia should be nerfed in risk it be op.
Only if you don't know what you are doing. And in Legacy there's multiple ways to destroy the effectiveness of AU.
I know this video is old and it really doesnt matter at this point but Cory shouldn't be able to name Japan at the end of this because he didn't own it at the end of the game
Same is true for southern europe
Can you please give me the game.
Why would you want a beat up old game?
man most of you guys play like you’ve never played risk in your life
Most of us haven’t.
Boards upside down
+Anita Watman yea we mention the reason in a comment below. Huge over sight on our end.
Calling a race Nazis because the name of the race is german...
Classy...
Consider all factions to be the worst of that regions history. The German faction, like the others, is trying to take over the world by force. Reminds most people of a real life event... The Nazi party.
She is my "head" quarter!
This game is stupid
Great comment.
She should hire herself out to game with people
Okay show some respect. If you want to be a creep go do it at someone else’s channel.
